Largest Starbucks in Houston, yet perhaps the most overrated as well just because it is The Galleria. I came in to buy a pastry & tea on a Sunday morning, and had to endure eventually purchase it in the drive-thru. Why? The line on the inside was all the way to the door! There were 20 people in front of me, and 10 behind me. It looked like only 3 baristas were available at the time, not counting the ones in the drive-thru. The lady at the drive-thru seemed rushed, to say the least. Just ridiculous. If I want Starbucks so bad, I’ll either go into Galleria mall or wait the 45 minutes in line. The one upside to this store is that it is 24 hours, somewhat new, and that it has plenty of seating. Good luck with parking. You are fooling yourself to think you’ll find a good parking space. Expect to walk a bit in finding a space in BFE. What a disappointment. Starbucks of Galleria, please hire more people!

Pulled up to the drive thru one time and didn’t hear anything. Tried saying something but no response. I thought it was broken, so I just drove up and ordered there. The lady there was in a bad mood as they always seem to be at Starbucks for some reason, and she was annoyed with me for some reason, maybe she just hate Caucasian males I don’t know, and she in front of me complained to her co-worker that she hates people who act dumb. Am I that person she’s referring to? How was I acting dumb? I’ve been thru that drive through more times than I can remember, without much issue, so now I’m dumb because you said so? Alrighty then. This happened a few years ago but I still remember it and don’t buy my favorite drink as often because of it. Don’t go to work if you hate your life that much and want to spread it to other people. Do us a favor.

I was surprised by the other reviews; this is actually my favorite location. I shop at the Galleria every other weekend, and I favor this location across the street instead of the Starbucks inside of the mall which has atrocious lines. Service is reasonable. Never seen a problem with the restrooms. The décor is really spacious and pretty, and a great spot for people-watching the hustle and bustle of the Galleria. I always order the same thing… Venti Latte made with heavy cream instead of the milk, with sugar-free caramel syrup and 3 splendas… a little trick to make it virtually sugar free/carb free so I can indulge. They’ve made it perfectly every time.

Convenience is the only reason I come by here. I guess you don’t even have to really try when the traffic flow is so much. It’s your typical«why bother making decent coffee because the customers will always be here» Starbucks. I know I pay extra for soy, but when you can barely taste the coffee, then what’s the point. If you’re a visitor from out of town, don’t be fooled by location and the brand-name. Take a little time to find another location that actually cares what kind of product they pass through the drive-through window.

This place is so disgusting full of homeless people yes really homeless people. The whole place stinks so bad. The restroom will make you puke. If you are a normal clean person just go there you will have to hold your breath. It’s also very dirty and you can never find a place to sit. I will post pics of the homeless people soon.

This is One of Houston’s busiest Starbucks so be forewarned. The lines can be very long both inside and in the drive through. I only come here when I am in the area or else I try to avoid it because it is so crowded. Each time I have been the baristas have been very quick getting orders processed. No complaints. They have a huge staff so they get orders out very quickly. The only drawback is most of the staff is behind the bar so I have noticed some trash around the area where there are condiments for your coffee. That area needs to be cleaned at a quicker pace. But besides that they quick and they make their drinks well. I mean they kinda have to at this location, they are whipping out 1 million drinks per hour.

This has to be the most crowded Starbucks in Houston ever. I’m not saying it is bad, but I am saying that you will wait for a little bit, especially during high traffic times. The galleria area itself is a buzz of busyness, so don’t be surprised. Otherwise, it is a regular Starbucks.

I tend to love this Starbucks in the morning. They are faster than any other in Houston and the customer service is exceptional. However because they have new staff it is going down the drain. The other girls used to be so great with customer service and fast. These new people that they have hired are just like the other stop at employees you fine at the other crappy Starbucks around Houston. It is a shame that they can’t sign mall workers like the ones they have been having the past year. The afternoon stop I can’t speak well about but the mornings that used to be great. Get it together Starbucks

Slowest Starbucks in America, and toilets smell like they’ve never been cleaned since the building was constructed. Expect to wait more than 20 min for a drink. Can’t believe corporate would let this happen to the only 24⁄7 sbux in Houston.

If you ever want to quit Starbucks cold turkey, visit this location and use the restrooms first. The smell of urine turned my stomach so bad that I couldn’t even use the restroom. I just turned around and walked out. Seriously, I’ve been in convince store bathroom that were cleaner than this. Gross gross gross!!!

Ok, this location is smack dab in the middle of the Galleria area, so don’t be suprised by the wait. It’s a bit larger inside than most. There’s a variety of low & high standing tables. The décor is great & they keep it in order considering the traffic they receive. You can expect a little bit of a wait 1st thing in the morning, but nothing outrageous. Staff is generally perky. Since they’ve got more room, this one is a good place if you want to hook up your PC& do some work. But due to the traffic I wouldn’t say this is the best place if you want to study in a quiet space.

Friendly staff but when I asked the cashier about their new blonde espresso drink she was surprised they had it! So wasn’t able to give any info on the drink but I went ahead and ordered it anyway since it said double espresso. Waited in line inside for about 4mins to order and then 10mins to get the drinks. Slow service and the barista forgot to put whipped cream on the other drink. The only appealing quality to this place is that it’s 24⁄7.

I don’t often go to Starbucks since I own almost every contraption there is to make coffee with. However, I recently got one of those reward cards and as a «new member», I got a free drink. Of course, I could only get the aforementioned drink on the house on one specific day, which was why I found myself at this location(the most convenient one to work) on a Wednesday morning. I knew I was going to be late for work, but I didn’t quite know how late. I would find out. I came in at around 9:20AM. There was still parking available in the lot, which was something I was slightly worried about. I had come at around the same time before, but for Jamba Juice which is right next door, and had the hardest time finding a parking spot. Yes, I know this location has a drive-thru, but I wanted to sort of get a little bit of walking done in the morning since I have a desk job and all. I get more than enough sitting time in a day. At first glance, the place is huge with plenty of seating. Of course, this fills up rather quickly, but when I got in, there were still some seats left. Most of the people in there were crowded around the«bar» waiting for their drinks. Great. I came up to the cashier and dug around my purse for the coupon code, asking if she knew if there were any limits on my free drink. She consulted with the guy next to her. Verdict: nope. I was originally going for something smaller since I was planning to indulge a bit. However, because it was free, I ended up living it up a little with the enthusiastic support of the cash register lady. I ended up getting a Venti Java Chip Frap and double shot of espresso(light with no whipped cream) which totaled at slightly above $ 7… but I ended up paying nothing. AWESOME. That’s where the awesomeness ended. I stood off to the side along with the mass of people that came before me and waited. I waited for quite a long time, actually. In fact, when I finally got back to my office, it was 9:58 and it’s only a 3 – 5 minute drive down the road from this Starbucks and my coworker actually got worried because I usually inform them even if I’m just a couple of minutes late(this time, I blew that out of the water since I was a full 30 minutes late). Basically, the location’s great, the place big enough(and popular), the staff friendly. However, the service is slow. It doesn’t help that they have a constantly busy drive-thru line as well. Perhaps I’ll try that next time, because the whole waiting for 15+ minutes inside certainly doesn’t do it for me. If you’re in a hurry, you might want to rethink visiting this location for your morning coffee fix. If you have time, though, why not? On the plus side, the cash register lady confirmed with me on how to spell my name and this location prints out the order on a sticker, so my name was spelled correctly and there was no confusion on which cup was mine. Also, did you know the Double Chocolate Chip Frap is made with decaf? I originally ordered that but she told me if I didn’t want decaf, I should go with the Java Chip. I obviously don’t know my Starbucks menu very well, because this is the first I’ve heard of it. As a note, I have been here several times before, but later at night. There’s slightly less people then(or at least the times I’ve been).

If I ever go here again, have me committed. Maybe the worst Starbucks in the world! Worst service, slowest, worst worst worst! I’ll give up coffee before I go to this Starbucks again!

When visiting a Starbucks, you want 2 things: what you ordered and not what you didn’t order. At this location in the upscale district of The Galleria, I expected great service with high efficiency. None of the above were experienced here, and I have no idea why it’s still open. Never would I imagine a name like Starbucks, in such a great location being SO bad. There are truly only 2 good things about this place: It’s VERY large inside, one of the largest I’ve ever been to. It’s so large and busy that you can order, wait a few hours and people watch(some of the most interesting characters in Houston make their way through here), then finally get the wrong drink and leave. There are plenty of other Starbucks inside the mall, don’t waste your time here.

Wow. Craziest. Starbucks. Ever. The drive through and parking situation is crazy. Be careful where you park, because Drive through customers may block you in. Also, when you enter this Starbucks, just know that you’ll be in the store for at least 15 minutes. It takes about 4 – 6 minutes to make it to the till to place your order. If you order food, you will get it in the next 7 minutes. And, then, right before you’re ready to give up because you have finished eating your croissant, your drink will be ready. Proceed with caution.

This is the DIRTIEST Starbucks I have ever been in. Previously I gave that award to the Yale at I-10 location but not anymore. Filthy all over. Floor covered by trash, love the fact that the drink pick up area looks like a trash an was emptied there. Forget typing, look at the pictures.

The famous 24 hour Starbucks, where the baristas and cashiers are rude and more concerned with the hot staff gossip topic d’jour than serving the non stop flow of thirsty, chatty, pot melted, commuter school students. The crowd is reminiscent of the Cougar High Commons or the HCC lunch room. I hate this Starbucks. The line is always long. The wifi is excruciatingly slow, The condiments stay empty and the place is filthy. Plan on playing musical chairs if you want to sit and enjoy your beverage. Your best bet is to skip the mad house inside and hit the drive through where the service is better and continues 24 hours a day.

I LOVE Starbucks but I try to avoid this one only because it is always SO crowded. It has a large ‘dining area’ with lots of seating, but given it’s location near the Galleria there is always a crowd inside… and a long line to the door most of the time. I don’t think it’d be a good place to study since it is always crowded and loud. but a nice place to maybe meet up with some friends? I use the drive thru unless that line is super long. Parking is hard since it’s in the parking lot of a large shopping center, and right next to Jamba Juice… you may have to park a few rows away… They do have some outdoor seating, which is nice on a pretty day, and quieter than sitting inside. The baristas have always been nice and competent which is a plus considering it’s always so busy!

I still come here to study on Sunday since the location is convenient. So here’s a better review than my last review. –people come here for all kinds of meetings, you’ll meet ALOT of different ppl. Also hear all kinds of conversations. –line is always long, so if it’s short get in line! It won’t be short for long –bathroom frequently runs out of soap and NOPAPERTOWELS in there I always bring some napkins with and perhaps keep a hand sanitizer handy. –sometimes your order will get messed up, when you ask them to remake it, the second time doesn’t really come out better than the first. Just take an L. –sometimes they don’t fill your cup all the way either.
