I guess I’m just lucky. I haven’t had any issues with this location. Honestly, crossing the traffic on Waugh Drive is more frustrating and annoying than this place could ever be. This Subway is one of the few {scarce} lunch options available to the many employees who work in the area. With that said, if you come around noon during the workweek, you can expect the line to be out the door. To avoid this, come in the morning or after 1 p.m. I’m a creature of habit when it comes to my Subway sandwich. I don’t deviate or try new things, so turkey breast it is. If I’m watching someone make my food, I’ll always make sure it’s prepared to my liking.(So, yes, add more pickles and pepperoncinis). The only problem I have with this location is they don’t have cilantro. What’s up with that? I need that extra kick. But, alas, I will have to do without it.

I decided to review this subway because I was rather disappointed and it reminded me of my general displeasure with the chain lately. Today, was an usual day, Italian herb and cheese, subway melt(yes, I want it toasted… it’s a melt), mayo, lettuce, pickles, onions, green peppers, salt & pepper… Do you you want paper with that? Paper? …no??? I open up my sandwich and the bread had fused to the paper. I have no idea why that would happen. It’s never happened before. Annoying but not the end of the world. It’s not even under the control of the employees. What is means to me is that the trend of decreasing quality and«freshness» I have seen within the franchise since I began eating at subway probably 15 years ago now, is continuing. Another practice I’ve been noticing lately, at various subway locations, is the precut ting of bread lengthwise to save time. While it make be faster, when I see that, I don’t think, Oh! That looks fresh and delicious! It’s just depressing that one of my favorite chains has dropped their standards so much. It has led to so many bad experiences lately and now even the small transgressions like today, damage their reputation in my mind. I’m not really sure what else to say. I really only go to subway now if it is convenient. Nowadays I fell like I can get a tastier, healthier product for not much more that I would normally spend at subway — about 7.50.

They make a decent sandwich but they aren’t very welcoming. They close at 10, and if you get there after 8:30 which I usually do, everything is already put away, chairs are up and their open lights are always off. I live close so I come here often but they definitely don’t want customers after 8:30. The one down the street in river oaks shopping center is much more friendly.

I’m surprised by the low rating. The rug rat and I came on a lazy Sunday for lunch. The gentleman preparing our meatball sub was friendly and fast and the place was clean. I’d stop by for a quick bite if I’m in the area again.

This is a decent subway. It is clean, the folks here get your order right. No complaints. Great for an inexpensive lunch, and the breakfast is good too.

Going to confirm everyone’s previous assertions about this subway. They run out of stuff all the time, went one day at 6pm and they had no bread except white and Italian herb and cheese? White bread is pure evil, might as well eat air. Employees are slower than molasses in January; you’ll have to repeat yourself easily 3−4x for each ingredient because they don’t pay attention and are on some sort of cruise control, worse I’ve had to order my sandwiches in Spanish as they had a very poor grasp of the English language. Given the area, this is completely unacceptable. Now to put the cherry on top of the cake, they send me coupons nearly 2x a month in the mail, as I live just down the street. But when you go to use said coupons, they can’t seem to figure our how to use their darn cash register, I mean training hello? So they just refuse to take the coupon? WTH?!? They refused my friends any regular foot long for $ 5, they’ve refused to accept my coupons too on several occasions trying to say well that’s not a regular sub? What constitutes a regular sub? It’s clearly not defined on your utterly confusing mess of a menu. Which raises the question why send coupons that I can’t use — bait and switch much, ethical? Heck no. And the final insult is the employees don’t even wear uniforms, they’ll be in the same ratty street clothes they’d be wearing if they weren’t working. So if you like your sub with a large order of incompetence and poor customer service(listening skills, being prepared, knowledge of English) then this is your subway du jour.

Terrible! Worst Subway ever! The woman who was making our sub messed up my entire order! Causing me to be hungry for lunch ! Everytime i go there something is broken or they’re out of something! Shame on them!

Location is the only reason I frequent this subway. With the Whole Foods across the street I am visiting less and less. The food is average(for a subway) and the store is smaller than average which creates traffic flow issues.

Avoid this if you can, instead walk over to Whole Foods for tastier sandwiches. Worst fast food ever! Had food poisoning last week from the egg white only breakfast sandwich! I would give it no star, if I could!

This Subway is just terrible. The other 2 reviews are from 2011, but they haven’t stepped up since those reviews were written 2 years go. I go in at 7:30AM on my way to work because Subway was running a promotion to buy one, get one free 6-inch sandwich before 9AM during the month of April. There was one man in front of me who was just finishing up with his veggie selections, and there were two employees. I stand there for at least 3 minutes while both employees«help» this other customer and piddle around behind the counter. Nothing about the sandwich making/toasting/wrapping/payment process requires 2 people. Finally the other customer leaves and one employee goes to the back and I finally get service. I ask for my breads and meats, and he gets one bread selection wrong and doesn’t fix it despite my mentioning it, and says the chicken breast isn’t ready yet, which is weird, because it’s a precooked chicken patty, they just reheat the thing. Whatever, I settle for something else and move on. The skimp on the veggies: when I say I want red onion, I don’t mean ONE slice of onion, please spread it out on the sandwich. I only get 3 veggies(onion, jalepeno and spinach) so it will NOT break your budget to give me extra spinach and more than 2 jalepeno slices. (Also to note, since this BOGO free promotion this month, I’ve tried 3 different Subways with the same order each time, and every time the total cost is different?)

Yeahhhh, this Subway is a bit confused. They’re always a bit lost, and this last time, they were out of red onion. I mean, that’s what makes a great sammy. I know Subway is a Subway is a Subway. But you gotta have fresh bread. Go elsewhere if you can. The Memorial location is a bit more busy, so go there for fresher pan. *pan = bread en espanol
