I’m a thrift store junkie… and man, does Houston have thrift stores! I was actually looking(online) for a Value Village and found this one. I’d never heard of it, but based on the reviews(and that its only 5 miles from my house), I had to go. I went around 11am on a Saturday. It was DEAD. There may have been two other people in the whole place besides me. The lady greeted me as soon as I came in — nice. Basically, this is a pretty darn good thrift store It is BIG. The shoe section is big, but the shoes look like they’ve been through the ringer… so I skipped by those. However, this place gets props for several reasons. First of all, they have a plus size section(for men and women) which is a PLUS(no pun intended) because I’m a plus size gal, and it SUCKS to have to wade through racks and racks of clothes to find the few that may fit. This way, I could go straight to my section and sift through stuff. Its pretty contemporary stuff and I found 5 business casual shirts for work and a pair of jeans. Yay me! Also, they put the SIZE on the price tag — which is a really nice touch, so you don’t have to fondle every piece of clothing you like to see the tag inside. Prices are GREAT and much cheaper than Goodwill and even Family Thrift. Shirts are around $ 1.99-$ 3.99 and the jeans I got were $ 3.99. Steal! They also have a few brand new things here like scarves and such, and a decent furniture selection. They also have large area rugs(I assume are new) hanging on the back wall for around $ 60. Overall a great place to poke through and its arranged nicely enough that you don’t have to spend hours digging. I will definitely be back!

This is my favorite thrift store in the city. Its as organized as you can get for a thrift store and they always have interesting and unique things here that are worth the money you spend on them.

This used to be a thrift store under different management when I was a little girl. With those memories in tow, I stopped by Super Thrift one day as part of my thrift store circuit. Good: Clothes are arranged by size. There is a large selection of decent stuff. Bad: No air-conditioning. Not so good during Houston’s summer! Instead there are fans in the front of the rather large store. Makes for an uncomfortable time spent digging through racks. On the bright side, I did score a great Eddie Bauer skinny leather belt for a dollar – much less than what Goodwill or the Salvation Army charges for similar items.

My wife, son, and I went to this thrift store based on the ratings I read here. We are casual thrift shoppers… mostly for fun but to find some good deals, too. Always looking for sports memorabilia and the like. While I don’t want to sound mean, this thrift store was just plain awful! It looked like the place where clothes, shoes, small items, furniture go when they are rejected from other thrift stores. The shoes were disgusting… much of the clothes had stains… and the small items were disorganized, dirty and awful. We spent about 20 minutes looking around and then couldn’t take it anymore. We actually felt like we needed to take showers after that short time. Don’t waste your time. Sorryl.

This is the kind of thrift store I could really grow attached to. It has the ginormous size and selection comparable to Value Village, yet an actual fitting room area(although with a rather long wait on the particular day I stopped by). Still no public restroom, but I can understand why… The selection here is not the most current or fashionable, and it is notably pricier than Value Village and the like, but it’s a cleaner, better ventilated, more orderly business — making it more conducive to sifting through the tons of possibly hidden treasures. I managed to fish out an outdated make-up book for $ 1 as a «just because» token for a friend and a $ 8 brand new, tags intact J. Crew jersey dress(regularly priced at $ 40) during my 30 minutes visit here. I’m sure I would’ve yielded more awesome finds have I not been pressed for time. When the thrifting mood hits again, I will definitely stop by Super Thrift again.

I enjoy a good thrift shop. The kinda place where you can walk in and get something odd for cheap. Or something out of necessity(like a suit) for a reasonable price. I found this thrift store last year and I’ve been a faithful customer ever since. It’s huge, I think it used to be a grocery store or something. It is incredibly clean. Nothing is out of place, or dirty. The sizes are in order, the furniture is put together and organized well, and the staff is friendly. Not to go back to the clean thing again, but really, the place is spotless. The funny thing is I bought 12 polo shirts for the summer and paid $ 4.75 for each of them. Yup, you know the lil horsey shirts. Got them in every color, in my size, from the thrift store. I’m not ashamed to admit it either lol. Hell gas was $ 3.75 at the time, and my rig isn’t exactly fuel efficient, so I was cutting corners any way I could. Also, it is in the sharpstown mall area, but don’t be all freaked out, it’s actually not bad. Get in, shop, and get out…
