Can we rate this place no stars? My coworkers and I wanted to try something new so we decided to check this place out, bad choice! First of all I spent a little over $ 20 for 2 rolls and when I saw one of my coworkers almost gag over a piece of sushi, I was ready to go back to work. Don’t waste your time or money, go elsewhere.

Nothing to write home about. Fast food style menu for sushi. The menu itself was boring. If you’re hard up for something resembling sushi, this might do in a pinch but otherwise you’re better off finding another restaurant somewhere else.

It’s a great place to relax or sit down with friends, the ambience is very relaxing. However, the food here isn’t great. The chicken pad thai was sour and the noodles were overcooked, not enjoyable. The pork gyoza and crabs puffs were pretty good as well as the chicken katsu bento. Service was excellent I must say, cashier was very friendly.

I got the rock and roll, Philly roll and salmon roll. I wasn’t impress. The taste was not there for me, but for the price they are ok. The staff is good and since is in Meyerland plaza they have a lot of parking spots which is a plus for me. And after eating you can walk around and shop in the stores near by.

Parking: Huge parking lot as it is located in the Meyerland shopping plaza. There shouldn’t be any issue finding a parking spot. Time and Day: Ate on a Thursday at 6:30PM. It was around 5% occupied so there wasn’t any trouble getting a table. By the way, no one seats you. You take a menu, order at the register, they give you a number, and you pick a table. Food: I ordered a Sundance and VIP sushi roll. They were both good(4⁄5), but they are not worth their price tag. Service: At this location, the only interaction you will have is with the cashier and with person who delivers you the food. I wouldn’t say horrible or wonderful service but don’t expect someone to come by if you need something. You will have to get it yourself. Price: Slight issue here. I checked the website prior to coming here and the prices were cheap for many rolls.( ) However, at the restaurant itself, many of the rolls were $ 1 — $ 3 higher than what was on the menu. So don’t trust the menu that is currently provided on Unilocal. They need to update their website to reflect the correct prices. Overall: A self-serving sushi restaurant with good rolls, but somewhat pricy. I would come again only if I am in the mood for sushi and in the Meyerland area. Otherwise, not worth the drive for me. EDIT: I noticed on the Unilocal,it lists the price range as under $ 10. I disagree, it should be $ 10 — $ 20.

Unimpressed with the selection and freshness. I ate around 9pm on a Saturday and rolls tasted like they had been waiting for me all day long. Prices are reasonable but quality is not. For the money, there are better places to eat sushi at. Don’t waste your cash here.

Strip mall quality sushi, restaurant prices, decent portion sizes. If they lowered their price about 15% they’d be on point for a cheap bite but at these prices… The quality expected is not what is delivered. I hate writing negative reviews so I will say that the food came quickly and properly… Just didn’t taste great.

Ordered some food to go. They said it would be ready in 15 mins… 45 mins later it was still not ready. The food was just ok. Probably will not come back here.

I went for lunch on Friday 8⁄29. I got food poisoning from eating sushi in this place. I ended up in the ER of Memorial Hermann Northwest. I will definitively not return.

Pretty darn solid for strip center sushi. By far it’s not a place you travel around town for, but if you’re shopping and hungry and want to settle for something close by, it will serve it’s purpose. I would imagine there are people around the area that actually make this their date spot as they have intimate lighting in the back. Their miso soup has a good amount of mushrooms, which was a good start to the meal. My friend and I had a few of their rolls, nothing amazing as far as fish, but they sure can deep fry some stuff and drizzle sauce on top, so if that is your style, which I actually enjoy from time to time they do it just fine. They offer a wide variety of other just generalized asian food from chinese to vietnamese.

I started going here again! I like it. I get the very low-priced(yet large) chicken dishes. People are always telling them«You guys have run outta ice-tea!»

I like this place. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. The sushi isn’t outrageously overpriced, and it’s actually pretty good. I always get to-go orders during my lunch hour, and they have incredibly awesome deals. I always get the Panda eye, which is EXACTLY like the Tiger eye with tempura battered smoked salmon, cream cheese, and jalapeño wrapped in soy paper. It comes with your choice of 4 nigiri pieces for about 13 bucks. Not bad… Not bad at all!

I wouldn’t come here trying to satisfy a sushi craving. You know, the one that starts a day before and makes you crazy thinking about sticky rice and fresh fish. Located in the Meyerland plaza, this little restaurant is just okay. The sushi is average as is the service and the setting. The place is small and dark, with this red light in the back and a choice of bar or table seating. It’s alright for a small group but may be uncomfortable accommodating a larger party. It’s pretty cheap as sushi goes and I am a fan of the tempura vegetable sushi. The salmon nigiri and the tuna is decent. Not crazy about their speciality rolls though. They do nice egg fried rice here and I will come back to try what sounds like a delicious bento box. Gyoza here is just okay but not comparable to the crispy, golden deliciousness in the sister Miyakos. Really good location in terms of attracting shoppers looking for some seafood without driving around on a hungry search!

I found this place by accident but I’m sure glad I did! The staff are extremely friendly and the place is clean and tidy. The atmosphere inside is also good. They have a great selection and I’ve never been disappointed by the food. The prices are reasonable. I had reservations paying so much for a Bento box but there was more than enough in it to justify the price! This is a definite go-to place whenever you’re near Meyerland plaza.

This little sushi joint hasn’t really changed since it was Little Miyako. It’s an independent small business now, and it no longer serves alcohol. There is always a sushi special and a special bento box to choose from if the extensive menu doesn’t hit the spot. I often opt for the Sunset Roll — tempura battered and fried roll with salmon and avocado sitting in a sweet sauce. Try their bowls if you are really hungry or looking to pay for one meal and have leftovers to feed you for another meal. Their sushi and nigiri is pretty good, but nothing exceptional. As other reviews mention, the restaurant gets darker the farther you go toward the back. The décor is minimal, and there is often soft Japanese– or Asian-style muzak playing. The staff is friendly and can often be seen mingling with guests. They have a frequent diner card — only good for specialty rolls. But, if you go often enough, it’s a nice perk.

Not much has changed here since it was a Little Miyako. That’s a good thing, because Miyako was always a reliable lunch spot. There’s always a bento box special at lunch that delivers a lot of food at a good price, and if you don’t do sushi there’s some kind of terriyaki special on offer. If your meal doesn’t include miso soup, add it. It’s a couple of bucks tops and it’s crazy good. The interior is dark — the farther back you go in the restaurant away from the door it’s dim enough to make me look good. Miyuki isn’t going to win any awards for creativity, but it’s an affordable, reliable sushi place for the neighborhood.

I started going here when it was Little Miyako! This is one of my favorite sushi places! Fish is very fresh, and all the sushi I’ve gotten(to-go or dine-in) is excellent. I also love the gyoza dumplings and the crab wontons. They’re pretty quick to get your food out, and they’re friendly. And of course they have happy hour! :) The frequent diner card they give you(only for specialty rolls) is pretty cool… I would eat here every day if I had the money. I live in NW Houston now, so I haven’t been in a long time. I miss my chill sushi place!

It was starting to tick me off having to keep checking in at a nonexistent restaurant called«Little Miyako» whenever I visited this place. The local photos all show Sushi Miyuki’s interior, their food presentation, hell — they even have the same phone number listed, but my self-diagnosed OCD would just eat at me and eat at me; in the back of my head, I kept thinking, «The address is wrong. And it’s called Sushi Miyuki. Sushi Miyuki, damn it!» …And so, here we are. * AREA&AMBIANCE: Maybe at one point actually being an establishment called Little Miyako, the now independent, family-owned Sushi Miyuki is a small, unassuming restaurant presiding in Meyerland Plaza. The inside is a little cramped: the ordering counter takes up most of the space, then there is a narrow corridor to the left with booths and tables against the wall. There’s also a bar area — I’m guessing it used to be an actual sushi bar — and although they don’t use it anymore, it still provides customers with more seating options. The restaurant isn’t spotlessly clean, the lighting is a little too dark, and you can tell it’s old, but Sushi Miyuki holds its own as a casual, quick-stop sushi joint that dishes out acceptable, deliciously-cheap food. * FOOD: Sushi. Sashimi. Rolls. Bento boxes. Rice bowls. In addition to that, Pad Thai, Vietnamese Egg Rolls, and all your favorite Chinese food staples. Sushi Miyuki is a Japanese restaurant with a Chinese/Vietnamese infused twist. And everything is craaaaazy cheap. Noodes, bento boxes, rice bowls — all under $ 10. Even most of the rolls are under $ 10 — and yes, that includes some specialty rolls, too! But hey, generic rolls are under $ 8 — if you enjoy that type of stuff. Having worked in more prestigious Japanese restaurants myself, I wouldn’t suggest getting the sashimi here and instead, stick with rolls and other cooked dishes. Aside from the rolls being cut into impossibly-huge slices, I have no complaints. A few of my «tried and true» faves would be: Shaggy, Pink Lady, Four Season, and Sunset. I also enjoy getting their Chopped Scallop HR, fresh Salmon + Avocado HR, and Baked Mussel HR… and their miso soup is above average too, maybe because they throw some sliced mushroom in there. Makes all the difference in the world. * SERVICE: I usually do take-out, but if you dine in, order at the counter, grab a number, and a few minutes later, they’ll bring your food to you. Unfortunately, Sushi Miyuki’s TABC license expired some time ago and I’m not sure if they’re working on getting it back, so for the time being, you won’t find any beer here. They also do not have their own website, so I’ll do my best to scan in a menu for y’all. Just doing my Unilocal civic duty.
