Uptown Pharmacy

I have dealt with Jennifer at Uptown Pharmacy and I am not sure I have ever had the level of care from another establishment. Having been to CVS and totally content with CVS, I was blown away with how incredible Uptown Pharmacy is and how intelligent and invested in her clients Jennifer is. I needed medication compounded for my daughter and she spent time researching her condition and consulting with me and the doctor to make sure everything was perfect. I am very grateful for her and can’t recommend the place more highly. I also feel compelled to mention that the store has really cute items in stock.

This new family-​owned pharmacy offers a great customer service. They work all over Houston and further, ship medication if you can’t pick up and always reachable for consult on the phone and of course in person if you want to drive out there. The prices are higher thab in regular Walgreens or CVS, but that’s because they make everything in their own lab fresh and specific.

I almost don’t want to post a review… I would be sad if they became super busy. But only selfishly sad. Uptown Pharmacy deserves all of Houston’s business. Above all, they were kind, courteous, discreet, respectful, and prompt. While I might have waited over an hour at CVSgreens, I barely had time to look at one single display from many of the local and boutique artisans whose products they carry. I ended up spending as much time browsing as I would have spent waiting elsewhere! I left not only with my medicine, but two gorgeous handmade greeting cards and a bundle of brochures and business cards. I am so pleased that they will deliver to my mother’s door after her surgery now that the law prohibits anyone else from picking up the meds that allow a semi-​invalid to get out of bed in the morning and lead a happy, normal life. Kudos on the small-​town atmosphere, but that’s an afterthought, :)

I love this business! I would give them 10 stars if I could! Owned by two local women pharmacists, this business is centered around community and great service. I love their upscale but reasonable boutique atmosphere yet they offer specialty services like compounding. They offer medications and holistic options. They even have Antiaging and Skincare! I love supporting local businesses and Uptown goes above and beyond to make their customers feel valued and appreciated! You won’t find that at Walgreens! Please tell your friends!

I don’t typically do reviews for pharmacies as I don’t visit them often but I found this place the other day when I was visiting The Fresh Market shop that is nearby and all I can say is wow. We eat a high raw food diet and were looking to get some supplements for only the vitamins and minerals that we needed so I am always looking for good quality vitamins, supplements and natural medicines. I was surprised to see that this is not your typical neighborhood pharmacy. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and they do compounding, meaning that they can actually make my family custom made nutritional supplements which I found almost impossible to accomplish elsewhere, even online.
Besides offering all the services that a regular pharmacy does, they also offer really interesting natural medicines that are not found in your retail chains. The inside of the place was very neat and organized and they even had a cool little gift shop inside as well. If you are looking for hard to find medicines and supplements or just need to fill out a prescription then make sure to check this place out!

Love this new pharmacy in Houston! Uptown pharmacy is great as they are more than your average pharmacy. They have a cool giftshop, excellent customer service (including friendly and very knowledgable pharmacists) curbside service and delivery. My 1 year old has recently been sick and I filled prescriptions there and will going back! No more chain pharmacies and waiting for hours. Uptown is very fast too.

I’m so thankful Uptown Pharmacy opened and I don’t have to go to chains anymore. You’re really treated like family here instead of like a number. The staff were so kind and helpful. They have compouding, curbside service as well as deliveries and online refills. This is the best pharmacy I’ve ever been to and I would recommend it to anyone.
