Zori Bistro was between the gate we landed in and the gate we had to connect to, so with 50 minutes to spare, we decided to grab a quick bite. This is kind of like a Panda Express where the food is pre-made in heated trays. You can also get sushi boxes or bentos. We decided to grab a two item plate with sesame chicken & mongolian beef. This came with with noodles and steamed veggies. The beef was $ 1 extra, but not really worth it since the sesame chicken was better. We would have been better off getting a one item plate with just the sesame chicken. The noodles were okay, it tasted like your typical chow mien. I really liked that the steamed veggies were included because it really toned down how oily the entire meal us. Overall, this was an okay choice for us since we were in a rush and this was all pre-made and ready to go.

Everthing is OK if you are used to the typical airport rush service. «Next!» The Bacon Egg & Cheese Croissant and an OJ hit the spot.

Too expensive and too oily, salty, sweet… Just go to panda express, it’s a lot better at equal or less price.

Overly expensive airport food, but surprisingly good. It costed us $ 27 for two entrees for 2 people. There aren’t that many choices around here so you gotta make due.

Ordered the 2 entrée plate. $ 11.90 was way too much for Chinese food. And it was the most disgusting Chinese food we have had. The chicken and veggies were tasteless.

I was looking for some breakfast while in the airport, and I found myself weighing my options between a 20 person deep line at Starbucks, or no line at Zori Bistro. I choose Zori Bistro. The breakfast sandwiches are hot, fresh and surprisingly good. The coffee was pretty good as well. While one would not normally think of a place like this for breakfast, it really was quite good, and there was not the crazy line. I would totally go back, even if it was just to grab some coffee before a flight.

I have to admit that I has low expectations for this place but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and it was actually pretty good. The server was friendly too. I would eat here again if I needed a quick sushi snack.

We grabbed a quick dinner at Zori Bistro on a layover to New York City. The woman at the counter was very helpful and explained the prices/options for the chicken dinner. We ordered one entrée plate with sesame chicken, fried rice, and steamed vegetables. We were impressed with how much food we got for only $ 8.99; a rare feeling in airport terminals! Food tasted good and was all fresh and hot. A nice option if you are ever in Terminal E at Houston’s airport!

* Review of breakfast… yeah you read that right Breakfast!!! This airport is huge and crazy busy so naturally things were poppin… even at like 7:30 in the morning! I checked out my options for a quick breakfast out of the restaurants that were available in the terminal I was in… Not a whole lot in this fairly small Food Court. I saw Zori Bistro and even though they are more known as a Japanese/Sushi Restaurant and were open for breakfast I thought«oh WTH… I’ll try it.» I had their Breakfast Burrito: which normally comes with a choice of bacon or sausage, but I asked if I could have both. The gal told me that it was fine, but then proceeded to ask me if I wanted cheese in it to which I replied«no it’s ok… I don’t want any today,» but instead of recognizing my lack of desire for cheese she kept going on about cheese(I found this kind of humorous.) Now it didn’t really bother me too much, but the burrito still ended up containing cheese in it… guess it’s a good thing I’m not allergic to cheese or dairy! The burrito was ok. It didn’t blow me away, but still hit the spot. Unfortunately none of the ingredients’ flavors stood out. It was just consistently«ok.» The portion on the burrito was pretty hefty! Service was kind and quick and there are plenty of tables to sit at in the Food Court area.

If I were rating this purely on an airport-food scale, I’d give it 4 stars. It’s probably some of the better airport food I’ve had, at least for the price. That said, I found the food disappointingly mediocre. I had the fresh spring rolls and philly roll sushi. The fresh spring rolls were fine, but they were basically just shrimp, lettuce, and vermicelli. Not much in the way of herbs, and no flavor in the rolls themselves(only the sauce). I thought philly roll was a bit too strong on the cream cheese, but it could just be that I ordered the wrong type of sushi. But I have had philly rolls in the past where the cream cheese added richness and texture without overwhelming the balance of flavor to be too cream-cheesy. The ingredients in the sushi and the spring rolls seemed to be very fresh, though, which is impressive for an airport joint. The service was above-and-beyond. They were friendly, patient, and helpful. The guy behind the counter did not hesitate to answer all of my questions and offer me recommendations. Overall, I don’t think the food is anything to write home about, but I would definitely return here if I were hungry and my gate was in Terminal E.

Huh, was that really airport food? This airport eatery offered hot fresh tasty asian food at an affordable price! The Sesame Chicken plate was $ 8.99 and came with a decent portion of crispy sweet chicken, tasty chow mein and a pretty decent egg roll. For $ 12.99 my wfie had the special combo with bulgogi beef, california roll, steamed veggies, chow mein and fried rice. The beef was surprisingly tender and tasty and I found myself wishing all the Panda Expresses in CA could be magically replaced with Zori Bistro’s. If your stuck in the airport, this place is a good option for quick eats.

Zori Bistro would be the best choice over the Wendy’s next door. They give free samples to tryout, like their Sesame Chicken. We asked to try their String Bean Chicken which was okay, but their Sesame Chicken won me over because it’s not too sweet and not too oily, its well-breaded in white meat, and it wasn’t too bad. So I’ve ordered just one entrée being the Sesame Chicken along with half Fried Rice and half Chow Mien, they even add some steam vegetables on your plate. The cashier forgot to hand us some utensils to eat«was I supposed eat with my hands after a two hour flight?» Anyways I had to snag some chop sticks. What’s good here is that my food was fresh and it didn’t taste like it was old or something like it was sitting there for hours. I’ve ended up paying around $ 11.00 for a one entrée and one side meal vs. a $ 13.00 bento box. Solid Three stars here. Like I say… it will be your best choice for airport food at this side of the terminal.

For an airport restaurant, surprisingly, the food is pretty good. Owned by Koreans who were constantly pushing their food and wanting me to sample everything so I could make an educated decision on what to eat, I decided on this place yesterday for a to-go dinner. One of the women said that she had just made dumplings«this morning,» and I could believe it. It was astonishingly close in flavor to the way my mother makes her pot stickers(could’ve used slightly more soy sauce inside). The pot sticker wrapper wasn’t too doughy; obviously, she had taken the time to scrape the powder off of the wrapper(used to prevent sticking in the package). This takes an enormous amount of time, and as someone who occasionally makes pot stickers(takes a few hours), I can appreciate it when I have a good pot sticker. I decided on the bento box(obentoo means lunch box in Japanese) and soda combination for $ 12. It should be noted they do not have any diet sodas(overheard the lady next to me). You get 5 – 6 pieces of sushi(California roll), a meat(I chose bourbon chicken), fried rice(asked for white rice instead), 2 dumplings, and steamed vegetables(carrots, broccoli, zucchini, and cabbage). The steamed vegetables probably could have used a little more flavor(simmered in broth), but otherwise, the rest of the food was flavorful. If you’re doubtful, just ask for a sample, and the staff are more than willing to have you try. For what it’s worth, I’d come here again.

Decent sushi located in IAH. Most of it is pre-made and sitting in a display cooler waiting for you to snatch them up. They’re new to Terminal E so they haven’t learned the urgency for speedy service most people have while being in an airport trying to grab something to eat before their next flight. At the time, they also only had room temperature water bottles. Lastly, they did have pre-cooked, asian-inspired food sitting in warmers for purchase.
