Everybody is belittling this place. It’s not a full Indian restaurant, just a little food truck. They can’t fit a huge kitchen in here, so this is the best they can do. The menu is very interesting, with all of the Indian classics. I love the location, on busy Warren St. in a little area with two other foods trucks, both Mexican and upscale deli. This place seemed interesting so I gave it a try. It is inexpensive, so if looking for something different come here. The service was friendly and they joked around. I questions their cooking methods, since their food is mostly pre-made and is either heated up or cooked. But their vegetables and seasonings are fresh. My food came out rather quickly. I had ordered tandoori chicken. I really don’t have to complain and the salad. You don’t go to an Indian place for salad. It was enough food already. The rice was cooked perfectly and was great with the sauce. The tandoori chicken was served in a pretty hot sauce, which was delicious. There were four massive pieces of chicken, I was so full by the time I picked all the meat off of the bones. It was not the best Indian food I have ever had, but for a small food truck, I would love to come back.

A staple of the food truck garden on Warren St, Taste of India has been on my radar for a while. This weekend, I finally stopped by for lunch. The verdict: Good tandoori chicken and samosas. Sub-average rice. Terrible salad(really just wilted shredded lettuce.) The picnic table seating and food truck novelty make this a good choice for a quick, reasonably-priced meal. Cash only.

I can only assume that the 5 star reviewers have never eaten Indian food before. Or they are friends or family. My tikki masala was an oily mess. My wife’s shiskabob was dry and inedible. As others have pointed out, their«salad» is nothing more than shredded iceberg lettuce. Also, last time I checked, Indian food shouldn’t be bland. Their sign says«Best Indian food in town». That’s because it’s the ONLY Indian food in town.

If I could eat here every day, I would. The service is wonderful, the food is delightful and the atmosphere is like a little slice of heaven. The food truck is set back from the hustle and bustle of Warren Street, and there are potted herbs and plants everywhere that they use in the meals, along with birds fluttering by your feet to pick up any crumbs that you may drop. The entire family are all wonderfully sweet people, especially the older man who is always happy to take my order and is more than welcoming every time I visit. I try to stop here as often as I can, as I cannot get enough of the savory aloo paratha, perfectly flaky vegetable samosas and especially the saag paneer. My heart hurts reading the other less-than favorable reviews of this place, as I absolutely love this food truck and admire the effort and heart that these people put into the food. I’m always devastated when they close for the winter season, and I hope that one day they can open their own restaurant. I couldn’t recommend it any higher — give it a try, you won’t regret it!

I’ve been to this little food truck a few times and finally decided to write a review. I stopped by this afternoon and ordered half chicken tikka masala and half saag paneer(I had to ask very nicely to have half and half!). I also had a diet coke and paid $ 10. The menu says a «salad» comes with each entrée, but their definition of a salad is a small handful fo shredded iceberg lettuce. It’s nothing near a salad: no dressing and nothing but shredded iceberg lettuce. Both the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer were very oily and both lacked flavor. The paneer cubes were rubbery and tasted like it had been sitting in a crock pot for a couple days. The chicken masala was mediocre at best, didn’t have much flavor, and the chicken was dry. This little food truck has potential, but it’s not a place I’ll be returning to.

I always enjoy their food and the family service whenever I eat there. Home grown vegetables and sweet host. I shared white cauliflower veggie curry and the saag paneer this time and they were both amazing. Garlic parata and Dal parata are very good. If we ask them, they always recommend the freshest dish. I go eat there every(or other) week as long as I live in Hudson.

The picnic benches are cute. Otherwise, this was the saddest meal I’ve had in a while. The naan was a heated up pita from a bag. The mango lassi was a sweet syrup that came from a jug. The salad was straight up chopped wilted iceberg lettuce with a few pieces of raw onion. The saag paneer and chicken tikka masala were flavorless mush. It was like eating a microwave meal. Don’t get the ‘naan’. Don’t get the lassi. Don’t get the salad. Don’t get anything. Actually the bottle of Poland Spring water was pretty good. This is a great place to get a bottle of water and sit on a picnic bench!
