WOW!!! DELICIOUS HOMESTYLE MEAL AND GREAT SERVICE! Simply put! Stopped going there 2 years ago! The food was ok at that point but not anything special. Jump to last night when we gave them another chance. Food was amazing, we showed up at 9:15 pm and everything was freshly made, we both had the Chicken Fried Chicken Dinner, which has 2 huge portions of chicken, the lunch has 1 piece, Chicken was so tender, and the country gravy was just like my Mother would make. Great home style food at an incredibly reasonable price. MARTINA, our waitress was spot on, never had to ask for ice tea, which was sweetened perfectly, what can I say, I use to waite tables in my 20’s, she has a great personality to boot! Wonderful experience. I surely will be back, when you consider what you pay for a hamburger at a fast food restaurant these days, all you pay extra for, is pleasant service and a relaxed atmosphere, it truly is worth it.

Great food. Horrible staff. Came in and put our name down. One couple gets sat before us… another couple gets sat before us. Speaking we were there well before they were. I mentioned something to the host she told me I’d be satisfied next. This huge 15 top comes in and gets sat. I’m very irritated at this point. I talk with the hostess abs she gives me a buzzer for when my table is ready. That was my last straw with countless times of HORRIBLE service and this is coming from a server herself.

My husband and I decided to dry all the way to Humble to try this place since everyone we knew thought it was so great. Well, right when we arrive it is a 20 min wait. They are super packed. Which fine we decided to wait it out and give it a chance. Once we were sat down and our drink order was taking it took the server forever to get them to our table as well as getting our food out. I would like to say it was over 45 min before we ate. By the time we did get our food it was cold, and very mediocre. We def. try to avoid this place from now on.

I am visiting a friend from out of state and stopped in to eat a quick lunch on a Sunday at around noon. Started to read the reviews and got a little nervous. Quinton was my server and he did an excellent job all around. Food came out hot and tasted great. He was attentive and refilled my drink promptly. He should be an example to the others who work here of great service!

Was kind of skeptical about not coming cause of all the customer service problems but we tried it coming home from Louisiana and the food was awesome and Chance was a good waiter. Will

We have always had great service and food at Cheddar’s. This past visit I had the grilled shrimp and steak combo with a baked potato and broccoli rice casserole. The steak was well-​seasoned and cooked to the medium I had requested. The grilled shrimp were excellent– there was a slightly sweet glaze that was the perfect balance of sweetness to the savory seasoning and they were seven on a dish of their rice while I’ve always liked. The BRC came with a breadcrumb-​like topping that probably could have been toasted /​browned a little more, but was fine regardless. I also wish that their loaded baked potato came with bacon and chives, but b now I’m just being picky. :)
Whatever you order, do yourself a favor and get an order of the croissants. We absolutely LOVE the croissants! You’ll want a second order! ;) YUM.

First time going to cheddars and I must say everything was good. Our waiter name was Z and he took care of us. He knew the food menu and the drink menu. I loved his energy, he wasn’t «hovering“over us, but always was there when we needed something. We were celebrating a birthday and it’s like he could have joined us, but he kept it professional. The music wasn’t to loud, we went on Dec 31 and the people that was there was enjoying themselves everyone except one family who complained on our waiter basically because OUR waiter was talking and laughing with us while taking our orders. It was five of us… DID I MENTION Z WASN’T THEIR WAITER. If you want to go somewhere where it’s melody being played or quietness go to olive garden or the movies. Hope Z didn’t get in trouble for doing his job. FYI FOOD WAS GREAT!

Out with the family and decided that maybe since this was not a Sunday we would stop by Cheddars. Not impressed so why the big crowd on Sunday’s? Probably for the pricing. The pricing was pretty good. But the food was decent but nothing special. Service was a little slow, she was nice enough but we always had to ask for refills. I love a place where the server is always ahead of the game. I had ordered the chicken pot pie, that comes with a house salad and USE to come with the croissant, no croissant. Chicken pot pie had no flavor, had to add salt and pepper. Salad was iceberg lettuce a couple of cherry tomatoes cut up, some shredded carrots and about 4 croutons. Blue cheese dressing was good. Kids liked their mac and cheese. Fries were room temp. When we looked at the food on the table we started laughing because everything food wise was brown in color. No one ordered anything green except my salad which I ate before the other food got there.
Also not sure about the lighting in this place. There are lights above the tables but everything else is dark. Also I believe we were seated in the loud section because of kids. Tables around us all had kids but it was the parents that were really loud. On purpose?
They can keep the crowds on Sunday, I don’t think I will go back.

The food at Cheddars is good majority of the time but I would have to agree with the customer service at this restaurant. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! The waiter argued with me over some $ 3 croissants… seriously! He was aggressive enough I asked to speak with the manager she did come over and apologize but she didn’t seem concerned so I informed her I would be contacting the general manager. She let me know he was actually onsite brought him out and he was very accommodating. Especially not what I expected for family night out or out of a waiter who should be showing professionalism to customers. Extremely disappointed!

Service sucked.
I came to this Cheddars for a birthday dinner and arrived a little later than the bday party. When the waiter came to drop off their drinks, she passed me up and didn’t even ask what I wanted to drink. I ended up ordering my piña colada with my grilled salmon which was way overcooked.
The rest of my party had an array of issues: the salmon on someone else’s plate was noticeably smaller than mine, they took forever to get bar drinks, one girl asked for chicken fried chicken and got chicken fried steak, apps came 5 minutes before the entrée… the list goes on and on with my party of 10. If you asked for anything the slow waiter took 10 minutes to bring it. A dude sat there waiting to eat his steak because she was acting unbothered about getting A1 sauce. Food got cold.
The mgr came over 2 or 3 times and he acted just as unbothered as the waitress. They did bring an extra piece of salmon to replace the small one so that was something.
Thankfully I don’t live anywhere near this Cheddar’s but good luck if you do…

I don’t know why there’s so many bad reviews got take out here went to the bar promptly served and my order was ready and really fast time accommodated my wish in the well got a lot of food for the money and it is good

If you are press for time don’t expect a rapid service. I waited over 25 minutes until a waiter took my order after I asked to please send someone to do so. Definitely not my favorite place.

Well there must be quite a difference between one cheddars and the next because the food here was ookkkk. Service was great, out waiter continually checked on us. Makes up for the lack lustered food. Desserts are very good, huge. proportions can be shared by several

I completely loooovvveee this place! I recommend it to anyone! My boyfriend and I go atleast twice a month. I have tried various things from the menu but lately I’ve been ordering the same thing every time we go and I never get tired of it. Very friendly staff. Oh and the prices here are very inexpensive! That is another reason why we come so often

The service is so slow!!! Food amazing however it takes forever for your waiter to get anything! And if you are cold natured bring a jacket

Just finished an amazing meal. Contrary to what some of the previous reviews said about the service being slow. My service was among the best. I have traveled the world and experienced different countries with different types of restaurants and by far this is among the best value for the quality of food. Not to mention the server CHARLES was attentive and very fast for being a very packed and crowded Saturday night. Thank you Charles for making my experience better than most. This Cheddars should be proud to have you as a food server on their staff. I would recommend this location to any of my best friends.

Awesome food! Horrible, horrible, horrible service! I’m sure and hope it’s just this location that the service sucks absolutely! On March 12, 2015 I was about to walk in when a lady stopped my family and I. She politely said «I’m sorry we are closing because one of our stoves went out.» I said, «oh that sucks, but thanks» and walked away. As I was walking away an African American family walked in and no one told them anything. I was in disbelief and beyond mad! I mean if the stove was really out I completely understand, but if you just didn’t want to serve my family and I because of our race is a completely different thing. I called and asked to speak with the manager. I informed her about it, but we had already left. I hope the lady that kicked practically kicked us out gets her butt chewed for being ugly like that.
But like I said amazing food!!!

Food is not bad it’s a very cheap place, a almost always busy. Usually takes them pretty long to get the food out.

Cheddar’s (the nighttime edition) is waaaaaay to dark for me. All the Cheddar restaurants I have visited have never been so dark. When I first stepped in, I thought I was I a lounge or a club. The pallet of the walls is also dark, so dark and dark equals pitch black. I felt as if I would step on someone any minute.
Since I was ordering to go, I was directed to the bar to order where a couple of TV screens were projecting some professional sports games. Works for me. I asked for a take-​out menu and the young guy behind the counter quipped, «Well you can’t take it with you, but here you go.»
If I had a thought bubble over my head it would have said this: ??? followed by WTF!
Are you serving butter with that response because that was completely CORNY!
Maybe my hunger was making me oversensitive, but the way he said it wasn’t very warm and inviting – it was actually a little insulting to my intelligence. Some restaurants do have a takeout menus. If you do great, if not just give me a freakin’ menu.
I knew what I wanted, so I didn’t have to deal with his egotistical shenanigans any longer than need be, but 10 minutes for a sandwich and fries and I’m sitting at the bar. Would have be nice if I was offered a glass of water. Parched, I decided to ask for some water, which another wait staffer politely gave to me.
While waiting, I can honestly say I felt like I was at a sports bar, which is great if it’s a sports bar, but it’s supposed to be a family restaurant. Coming in, it felt like a lounge that I was too underdressed to enter into. You can’t be everything to everybody. This Cheddar’s needs to choose an identity and stick with it.
As far as the food. Pretty stellar! I had been wanting a philly steak and fries for a week when I finally got to Cheddars. This was the only place that I knew that could deliver what I wanted. The steak was succulent, piled high on the French baguette. Gooey cheese dripping on the sides with the green peppers vibrantly presenting its desire to be devoured. I asked for no salt on the fries to make sure they were pretty fresh. They had a crunchy outside but pillowy interior of potato to suit my palette. In lamest terms, the meal rocked!
However, I wouldn’t dine here unless it was daytime and they had some light coming in. I’m way too clumsy to be in the place without enough lighting.

The waiter had a terrible attitude problem.
«Excuse me, I ordered the blackened salmon.»
«I asked the cook and he says it is blackened.»
«Well, sir, it is NOT blackened. It is a very easy difference to see.»
«Well. I dunno, I mean, the cook said it was.»
She could even point to me blackened chicken — that WAS blackened — to make her point.
Finally he agreed to «ask the cook again.»
When the dish was returned, it was still not cooked as ordered.

The food here is great! The service. Not so great. I called in once on the way here for a Togo order, they left me on hold for 20 minutes. I arrived and no one was at the front with the phone. So now I had to wait for my Togo order when I just wanted to pick it up and leave.
When I come to eat, there’s never any hostess at the front. But the servers are usually better.

Ribs– fall off the bone
Spinach dip– best thing ever.
Bourbon glazed salmon– cooked perfectly with the sauce!
Most of the food on this menu are good! I don’t think I’ve come across anything not good yet.
