Denny’s

I wish I can give this place a zero. Visiting Houston for the the first time. It’s crazy I ordered first and my order came last like an hour late. What’s insane is the employee the named «Pennie» was bringing out dishes are cold and without any silverware. When my grilled cheese sandwich came out it was solid cold and unmelted and with fresh tomatoes? Clearly the server did not listen to what I explained to her. Yes there was a manager on the shift that came out to acknowledge my issued. The excuse was low staff and there are trainee’s still in trAining. But it’s okay to bring the food out cold talking me like I was given the business hard time. I’m so disappointed with unsatisfied service. I’m never coming back to DENNy’S PERiOD. Denny’s should already have established in business management. and that it should be consistant. This business should not be up and running w/​poor management that doesn’t know how to manAge and train staffs. Overtime quality is better than quantity. I run a business and every business owners/​shift managers should know that by now.

Came here around 4am w/​my brother. Took a little longer than expected to get seated but our waitress «Dimples» (who reminds me of Octavia Spencer /​*look her up) was nice & friendly. I ordered the French Toast slam & asked if I could substitute the eggs w/​hash browns. Dimples noted that they couldn’t substitute the eggs for hash brown but did let me know that she’ll ask the manager and made it happen! We ate, we paid, we tipped & left.

The worst! I was sick for three days after eating here. The staff repeatedly refer to each other using slang and derogatory language. Completely disrespectful to the families there. The service… what service?!
I had to flag down the server every time I needed something. And when there finally got to me, they spoke in such a condescending tone. Seriously! And I’m not a demanding customer either. I’m actually quite modest.

Terrible service! The girl taking our order was rude and has no sense of the meaning of customer service. Being told ‘you ready, what you want to drink?’ And then when taking our order she is, flirting/​talking across the room, laughing not listening to what we are ordering… worse service ever… our order was wrong… she never came back to see if we needed anything, anymore coffee… nothing…i was completely disappointed in our service today. Save your time and drive up the hwy to the other Denny’s…way better.

Compared to other Denny’s I’ve been to, this on was on the mediocre side. The service was good but the food was less enjoyable than what I would have expected.

Terrible service! I came in with my baby and bf. We sat down for more than 15 minutes… Nobody got our drink order, we did not get a high chair (for a 1 yr old). We told somebody if they where going to attend us. So then they came and got out drink order.
I asked the manager if they had high chairs he said ‘yes they are by the restrooms. I’ll go get one for you’ I waited he didn’t bring anything. So I went to get it my self.
After about an hr of waiting my baby was inpatient crying from the top of her lungs.

Still fairly new, but doesn’t have that ‘new’ smell anymore. I’d been here a few times for lunch during the week and all was good. I was here again last Saturday with my family, and all good again.
The dining area is starting to wear a little. The tables were kinda smelly and sticky… Result of using a dirty rag to wipe them with. The AC also was blowing humid air in some areas, so it smelled a little musty/​moldy.
Food was still great. I ordered the red white and blue breakfast… yum! Pancakes were the best, topped with fresh fruit. Hubby got a skillet and it was huge with really fresh ingredients.
I’ll be back. Don’t expect a 4 star restaurant, but diner instead. It’s all about the food, not the frills.

Went there this Sat with my girls and parents. I don’t think I have experienced such bad food before at this place. I ordered an omelet with CHEDDAR cheese, pico de gallo and ham. For whatever reason the cooks thought they knew how I should have my omelet better then myself. They made the omelet wrong both times and finally I just said forget it and ate a really bad breakfast. Our waitress was in NO way at any fault here. She was just as frustrated as we were. My mothers dish was also wrong. I was very disappointed in the plain disregard of customer want by the cooks.

The hubby took me here right after I had minor surgery. So take this review with a grain of salt… I was still recovering from general anesthesia at the time.
I ordered tea (just Lipton, meh) and caramel banana french toast. Hey, I just got cut into, I’m allowed to indulge! And it was delicious. The hubby had the regular french toast, and he liked his just fine.
I’m sure it’s just the same as most Denny’s. Don’t come here looking for gourmet food.
It’s clean, and the waitress was as friendly as any other Denny’s employee… in other words, not very friendly.

Saturday breakfast at denny’s.
Wasn’t anything special about this Denny’s this time. I ordered the all American slam, said hashbrowns instead of grits and I got grits. Food was warm but not as hot as you’d expect from Denny’s. My daughter ordered the pancake puppies which she loved and ordered another round. Second order was burned and not the same puppies. she started to eat them and then our waitress said «OH I GAVE YOU THE WRONG ORDER». Oh well instead of having her take them back my daughter tried to eat them regardless. Service was great and fast. People are nice and courteous.
My daughter did notice that our waitress was peeking from the kitchen at our table constantly kind of weird. I told her maybe she thinks I kidnapped you since we don’t look alike lol.
Anyhoo it was just okay.
