Five stars without a doubt. The employees here are very chill and very kind! The food is SOAMAZING. Oh my goodness so good. Even if your diet is not plant based– you would still love it. I got the spring rolls and the Tom yum soup– both phenomenal. And all plant based! My kinda food! Their desserts/treats are also delicious, I love the mochi! The coconut & taro are my favorite :) I hear the green tea muffins are amazing as well, I went to try them one day and they were sold out already. Something to look forward to!

I am so impressed! Now, I may be new to the vegan community but I truly appreciated how similar they were able to match the taste, texture, smell, and appearance of these carnivore dishes. I ordered the«beef» phở and the katsu. Phở was going to be the hardest dish to say goodbye to when I gave up meat, but now there’s hope(huge plus that the broth isn’t as oily as it is with meat)! The katsu could have fooled any meat eater, and the glaze was phenomenal. They also have a meal prep 7-day program where you preorder low calorie meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They were packaging the meals when i was there and it looked amazing– healthy, colorful, lots of variety, and it looked tasty. If I lived close by I would eat here every week and I’d definitely try the meal plan. To whoever it was that created this vegan heaven, thank you.

I wish DC had places like these. CA is so lucky! I was visiting my best friend in Huntington Beach and we wanted to order some carry out for dinner. We ordered the Chinese chicken salad, soup sandwich combination and pan fried noodles. Everything was really good. I loved the salad. It was light, tasty and fresh. A great Vietnamese fusion place that focuses on vegan options — and they tons of options. Can’t say I’ve seen the establishment or encountered their service. But the food was great. Prices are reasonable. Definitely a winner!

This review is for the detox plan. I’m currently on the 5 day detox and I absolutely love it! Everything is packed for you so you don’t have to do anything besides heating the food up once in a while. This is a more realistic detox plan since it involves food. I’ve been on the juice detox before but I couldn’t hang, felt nauseous and had headaches. When I started this detox, I expected the food to be bland with no taste but everything I’ve had so far has been delicious! I always look forward to the next meal and how it tastes. I’m surprised by how much I’ve seen a change in my body, I have more energy and I feel great! I will definitely do this again. They have detox meal plan every other week so I’m planning to do this maybe once a month.

I drove past and run past this spot all the time and I was always curious about it. I finally tried this place last week and I was pleasantly satisfied. They accommodate those who are not vegan/vegetarian, just say no tofu or don’t get the fake meat. The chow mein was delicious, the thai tea coffee was delicious, and the spring rolls are fantastic! I’ll be back!

This is a popular vegetarian restaurant in HB, a few blocks from the pier and all the local bars! We went there not long after they opened years ago and somehow never got around to going there again until this time, we had a mini family reunion with my nephew coming in from New York City. My niece and her husband, the UFC champion, Chuck Liddell also came with their children, this was only the 3rd time I met the champ, Bodhi tree was the perfect place, it was late Saturday night and there was nobody till our big group arrived, the owner put 3 tables together to accommodate us. We had just about everything they had on the menu. These are the best: 1) Egg rolls came out piping hot and very crunchy, served with herbs and lettuce, really delicious. 2) Gyozas, kind of bland 3) Pepper claypot fish, flavorful but unfortunately a little too hot and too salty, I had to eat that with a lot of rice to mitigate the heat. 4) Tom Yum soup, again, tasty but much too hot, the fake shrimp was pretty good. When I come back here, I would have to tell them to cook everything mild to medium. 5) Sizzling black pepper steak was so delicious, it’s almost like the real thing. I would like to come here more often, maybe twice a month for healthy eating but it’s so far from my house and whenever we come to the pier, we were obsessed with all the amazing happy hours! Everything on the menu is about $ 10 with a few exceptions so you won’t break the bank coming here. I highly recommend this restaurant for its fast service, extensive menu and good vegetarian/vegan cuisine.

The food was delicious(the reason for the 2nd star) but not worth the hassle to get it. OVERANHOUR to get food. Walked in, waitress said sit anywhere(so she knew we were there) but took 15 minutes to finally make it over to our table. Only 6 other tables in the whole place, two waiters… why so long? Place had good reviews, so we order. We waited for our soups to come out, which should have come out first and soon because soup is usually pre-made ladled from a large pot not made individually to order. Nothing, watching food arrive at other tables, arrive at a table that came in after us, before we realized(growling tummies) 45 minutes since we sat down and still no meal. Asked waiter once, told: «coming out soon,» another 10 minutes goes by before I tell the waiter we’ve got to take it with us as it’s taken much longer than we anticipated, to which he says, «ok, I’ll get it boxed up.» Then a lone bowl of soup is brought to the table by the same waiter I told to box everything up, I have to tell him AGAIN, «BOXITUP, GOTTOLEAVE.» 10 more minutes go by(we’ve paid for the food because we were told, «very soon, next order out») and I’m about to ask him to cancel the charge when the food comes out boxed. I was told that our order was behind all the other tables’ orders(not correct), again this seems absurdly long since there’s just 7 tables total(including ours) in the place. Then the owner comes out and tries to tell us the same song and dance, polite but no apology. In my experience in the food industry(7yrs) this is a clear sign of a disorganized kitchen. Completing each order as they come in regardless to whether the ticket in line behind another is a cold plate and/or a soup. Hard to believe that this place has been in business for 20 years with this kind of service.

Yes! Yes! YES! Everything i eat here has me saying that, honestly. I have yet to have something that I didnt like. They make some of the best tofu around, and even serve kombucha. Green tea mochi – to die for. maybe not die… but it’s good.

Really good vegan food. Asian with perhaps more of a Thai flavor. Seating indoors and out in front. Server was pleasant, but seemed to be the only server there so to say that she was spread thin is an understatement. My son and I each ordered an entrée and my son noticed a section on the bottom of the menu offering an addition of chicken for $ 1 more(all references to meat are not real meat) so he requested to have chicken added When it came, it seemed like a lot for just $ 1 more, and it turned out she had ordered a full second entrée of chicken for him. If you want this you will want to emphasize that you just want the add on chicken not a full entrée or you’ll be looking at an extra $ 10 on your check. Also, rice does not come with their meals. $ 1 extra for rice. They used to include rice and soup with entrees, but no more. The food is so good here(I had the black pepper steak, which I highly recommend) that despite the issues we had with miscommunication on our order and the unreasonable $ 1 for rice I have to give BodhiTree 4 stars.

Something for every vegan even raw options. My 6yr old is not raw like me so she enjoyed the fish tacos and strawberry muffin and she was happy. I had the raw hand rolls which were great and the dipping sauce even yummier. I also had the raw pad thai and Quoc brougt me chipotle spice to give it a kick for my Latin taste buds and it was great like a party in my mouth, the coconut flesh strips were so neat. My kid said she was happy we could go out to eat together where we both got something we liked. This is an affordable resuarant that has something for both of us. Great weekly meal plans for 200. Juce bar. Delicious pastries. No MSG or cholesterol. Walking distance from beach and lots of shops around. Family owned business for over a decade. Brother Quoc and sister Huong took great care of us going above and beyond. They pay close attention to detail. This is definitely our spot while at the beach. So blessed I found raw food by the beach that’s good. Here is our short vid we did while on our first visit:

Spring rolls with peanut sauce are delish! Jasmine Tea I usually get the stir fry beef which has a nice sauce to it… I have Celiac so getting something with a gravy/sauce is a treat! Before I was diagnosed with Celiac I have had the breaded chicken sandwiche… excellent! And the Portobello burger is yummy! The people are SOOOONICE!!!

I love their vegan pad thai and their raw vegan pad thai. The food is a little on the expensive side but sometimes its worth it. The location is col but the parking is awful because its located on the mains street of Huntington beach. Their shredded«beef» sliders are really good!

Pleasantly surprised by this place! The menu is pretty diverse, I had I hard time deciding between so many great selections. Service was great. My Thai Coconut Soup was so yummy. Restaurant was very clean! Looking forward to going back to try more of the menu.

Was Really looking forward to the teriyaki chicken and rice bowl, but was very disappointed. It was very bland sauce that tasted like water with sesame seeds in it. I was so craving a good bowl too :(

First off I love the location. Located in downtown HB but not in the middle of all the BS that is downtown HB. That translates to a reasonably fair chance of finding parking and not having any encounters with an idiot in a «Tap Out» shirt. The restaurant itself is very quiet and has a calming effect, so nice when your coming in from the crowded sidewalks outside. The food is great, they have a selection of both cooked and raw vegan foods. I am not so much of a fan of raw food but I like their raw soups and entrée’s better than other places. The Raw Pad Thai is really very good. Ph and the mango sticky rice is delicious.

Overall 3.75 stars. Located on Main St. in Huntington Beach, it’s on the left side after you pass all the crowds/restaurants. Next to Jan’s Health Bar. Nice to have a Vegan Asian option while on vaca. And it’s within walking distance from the beach/hotels(~10−15 min walk depending how quickly you walk) They’re closed on Tuesdays. Their lunch specials $ 8 and include rice(white or brown) and soup. We got the curry tofu and the eggplant tofu. The soup was a butternut squash(YUM!) and the food itself was pretty tasty and also came with noodles. The portions of the actual dish could be a little bigger. A lot of it was just the rice/noodles. We would’ve liked more eggplant, tofu & veggies. To compare it to a San Diego place, Loving Hut would be the closest, but Loving Hut is way better in terms of portion/quality/taste of food. They don’t have their own bathroom, you need a key and go down this dark scary alley-type hallway outside the restaurant and it’s kinda gross so –1 star for that. Service was fast & friendly and if in town, we’d definitely come back! They also accept credit cards, including AMEX/Discover. Yay for dining points category! TIP: Opt to sit outside. It’s kind of hot/stuffy inside so better to get fresh air :)

*Vegan* Vietnamese. Huntington Beach I love this place!!! I don’t know how they make their smoothies but if I lived closer I’d come here everyday!!! They use maple syrup to sweeten. I asked for avocado smoothie and asked to add a banana. I came back again and the lady said she never thought to add a banana, so when she tasted mines when making it, she said it was good!!! I also ordered a date smoothie. Yum! **Close to the beach but not walking distance. Parking is okay. I never had a problem. 20 minute spots. I ordered a sandwich, bahn mi. It comes with a lot of veggies and lunch prices are very reasonable. But I didn’t care too much for the sandwich. Something they added I did not like in the sandwich. I got the raw spring rolls wrapped with cucumber, wowow! Yummy!!! I want to try their soups. Definitely will be back. They have lots of good food here. Try it!!! Thanks for reading! !! :) ~*kenzie*~

Wow! I’ve been to several vegan restaurants in the area and this is by far the best. We tried the crispy katsu chicken, beef in spicy peanut sauce, and egg rolls. All three were delicious. Mochi and cookies are great too although I’m not a fan of the drinks so far(I’ve tried the hydrator and the Thai tea). Edit: We’ve been back several times since I wrote this review. I’m happy to report that the spicy lemongrass chicken and satay appetizer are also delicious. We look forward to trying the rest of the menu.
