I really feel bad giving any place such a low score unless it’s warranted. Unfortunately, our orders warrant the score. It is really one star for the food and the other star go towards the service as the ladies really were trying hard. The noodles seemed off, like they were borderline going bad. And the items we ordered(beef broccoli, orange chicken, and another chicken item) were nothing special — sub par quality. I’ll probably give this another try sometime in the future as it looks like the reviews are either really good or really bad. I’ve already had the«really bad» experience. Hopefully, the next time around, it’s really good!

This is the only place I know where you can get a delicious four course dinner for under $ 5.00. I’m not kidding. Rice or noodles, your choice of meat, vegetables, and a fresh egg roll, all for under $ 5. It’s not fancy, but it is GOOD. The food is always fresh, and the service is very friendly. They even make their own chili sauce. If you’re hungry today, but payday isn’t until Friday, gather up the change between your seat cushions and go enjoy a good meal at Lucky Wok. It’s the best deal in town.

Place is clean was completely empty which should have been a sign of why not to eat here. All I have to say is food is horrible I couldn’t even finish it. I ordered white rice, chow mein noodles which tasted like spaghetti, beef and broccoli which was so bland and bbq which tasted weird. Lady was nice but the food was not good at all I would not come here again.

My family of five eat here twice a month the wok wonton soup is amazing! The cream cheese fried wontons never make it home! Sooo good! The prices are so cheap that with a large family we can afford to eat here twice a month 30.00 and there is always leftovers for my sons midnight kitchen raid!!! Portions are huge! I’ve been coming to lees for five years it’s our go to we need Chinese food tonight place! I don’t know why I’m not on a first name basis with the ladies that are always there to serve us, it wasn’t till my last visit I realized she did not speak English well, that’s not a problem she always remembers my order and when we switch it up or cannot decide they are always patient and very kind. Anyone who says these ladies are rude you are mistaken! Try some eye contact and a smile they will return the same kindness! And the older gentlemen cook has a great smile and always makes my soup fresh for me and comes out and delivers it himself, I thank him for cooking dinner for this tired mom who needed a break from cooking. I can trust he uses fresh ingredients and charges a fair price. So from my family we think everyone should try Lees you won’t regret it you will part of the lees Chinese food secret place club!!!

They were extremely rude to me for not immediately knowing my order. When I walked in they wouldn’t even acknowledge me until the two ladies were done with their private conversation. And the food tasted like rubber.

Very good cream cheese wontons, the egg flour soup on the other hand could use a little more of a different flavor it’s super eggy tasting. Beef chow mein is very delicious. I will definitely be going back, very happy with what ive gotten.

OK. After that bad review I gave this place and a lot of time went by, I thought to see if maybe they had changed some items. So, I went by and ordered some Kungpao chicken. Well, sadly to say it was more of the same… YUCKY stuff. It was only a bunch of celery, carrots and about 3 mediocre pieces of chicken in the mixture of YUCKY stuff. Not sure how this place can call this Chinese. I felt like going over there and telling those nice people about what I thought but I felt bad. DON’T WASTEYOURMONEYANDTIMEINTHISLOADOFYUCKYSTUFF! HORRIBLE! I’m not one to write bad reviews too often. But oh my lanta stay away from this place. We decided to try a new Chinese food place and unfortunately ended up here. At first glance I was afraid but didn’t want to be rude and walk out. There is absolutely no flavor to anything. The rice tasted like it had been there awhile and the beef and broccoli looked so watered down. Let’s just say I starved that night and the dogs had a good meal.

I was worried about the portions at first because I was so hungry … Now I know that was the least of my worries. The food is so bland i ordered chow mien mushroom chicken and Kung pow chicken. It taste like boiled chicken with no sort of flavor at all :(I’m so sad and so hungry I wish I would have tried a sample.

Solid place for Chinese fast food. Not totally unhealthy, family owned, and affordable. The signs also said No MSG, if that’s important. They have all the usual favorites, and large portion sizes!!!

The lady that works there is sweet and always hooks it up with really big portions for a good price. The black pepper chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and kung pao chicken is the best.

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Eggrolls tasted like garlic. Kung pao chicken was dry. and had no flavor. Orange chicken was grissly. I am giving it one star because the people were friendly.

Fast food Chinese food, it’s not gourmet but they know they’re market and they do it right. Consistently fresh, large portions, and real cheap. Can’t ask more from a place like this.

Came here again after two years of steering clear. Decided to give it a second shot based on better recent reviews. Not sure of the people that gave it good reviews have never tried GOODCHINESE food but this was HORRIBLE trashed it looked shady and didn’t want to get sick! If you’re really going to risk it as a new timer get at least two samples you’ll find everything taste the same, bland. Not coming here EVER regardless of reviews. Ps. I was starving and craving chinese food(pregnant) usually at this state ANYTHING in your stomach will quench… NOT.

Great beef chow fun! It was a huge portion and cooked fresh to order. I’ve had their 2 item combo too and it was ok. But, the beef chow fun is The Bomb!!!

Great value for your money. The servings are huge, a single«Menu B» includes rice, chow mein and two choices of meats and can easily feed 2 people. We tried three different types of chicken(orange, sweet & sour and pepper) and all of them were moist, tender and delicious. I particularly like the chow mien because I like a high noodle-to-vegetable ratio and that’s exactly what we got. The people were courteous and friendly. I see other Unilocalers complaining about the quality of food, but I think it’s great for what you pay and it’s what you expect for an easy, cheap, yummy dinner. I would definitely come back.

They have the best hot and sour soup in town! I don’t know what these other people are talking about on here. It’s a nice, small place, and they are very friendly people. Once my dad dropped his soup outside and they replaced it free of charge. I recommend the fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, and my favorite kung pao!

Chinese Food Fare It is what they say it is! Here @ Lee’s Lucky Wok you’ll find inexpensive Chinese food that’s pretty good. Being a block away, us «Bolsa Chica-Hielians» don’t have much of selection a when it comes to neighborhood Chinese eateries. We have Lee’s & Pick Up Sticks! Both offer two different takes on this Asian cuisine. Lee’s isn’t the most attractive place on the block. The establishment sure could use a little sprucing up in the décor & vibe departments. It might be least of their worries since it is a mom & pop shop, so to me anyway, it isn’t too big of a deal. Now, the food. Unfortunately, there isn’t a vast variety to choose from. It has the regular must haves. I’ve personally indulged in the orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, hot & spicy soup, chow mein, mushroom chicken, beef & broccoli, and some other random items here and there. All of it is highly comparable to other corporate chains out there but probably with a lot less grease an excess sauce/salt then people are use to nowadays. I’d give them a good«4ish» for the price verses taste! The service is good, but don’t expect them to be standing @ the counter smiling as you walk in during any pocket down time. They like to kick back in the tiny dining area when times are crawling. No biggie! I get my food and they’re kind and generous when fixing my plate. Do I need much more from a «take it to go» type of joint? Heck I even sit there with my little family if I don’t want to bring the mess home. Easy peasy! :)
