Food is great! But they lack interact ing social skills. So I just order for pick up.

I use to eat here before remodel, this my second time eating here since, it will be my last. The costumer service was horrible. They nickel and dime you for everything, even charge for steamed rice, heck I’d rather eat at Panda Express because the quality of food is the same and Panda is less expensive by far. The egg rolls here were crunchy on outside and mushy with something on the inside, they also tasted like they were a frozen egg roll to start with. the mushu chicken was ok, however when I asked for an additional pancake they charged extra for it, extra for any sauce I needed, overall a lot of money for fast food Chinese food, which I didn’t get what I paid for. I expected quality for the money I paid. Disappointed.

Had a great experience for our first time here. Hot and sour soup was probably the best I’ve ever had! Dragon beef was flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. Staff was friendly. May be a bit on the pricey side for Chinese food, but we will definitely come back here again.

Ordered salt & pepper pork chops along with eggplant in garlic sauce. I got there 10 min. After placing my order and when I got home the pork chops were so soggy, they were not edible. The eggplant was mediocre at best. The restaurant smelled like cigarettes and Lysol. Gross. Very disappointed.

This place had horrible customer service. Rude responses from management when feedback is given. I guess they don’t realize that simply accepting a customers opinion and offering to make things right could resolve a negative complaint. Instead, they chose to agitate the situation by blaming the customer and making rude remarks about the complaint on the quality and flavor of the food. I’ll never go here and I advise others to read the tips, as well as the reviews.

I grew up in San Francisco and my friends from Orange County are all liars. Everyone of them said the same thing, «San Francisco’s got nothing on this place.» I assume this was their first Chinese food experience away from Panda Express because this place was awful. The servers were nice, the food, not so much. Addendum: Someone emailed telling me that something was wrong with my tongue and to go back to San Francisco. Way to win people over. Said person is now blocked.

The Ruby Palace is so good omg it’s called the new ruby because yes I think the husband is no longer there(he might’ve died) but I HAV been here countless countless times the servers are always very helpful & kind it’s vry clean & the décor is so cute & traditional I luv it & the food is actually great traditional food! The portions they give are plenty big at one point they gave humongous portions & now they are smaller but I think it is so much better now I can order more dishes & they are all so good I luv the pad tai, silver noodles, & hot and sour soup you can choose your spice level it’s all very good & genuine

We have been here twice in the last month and found the food to be very good and the service excellent. Some of the best hot-n-sour soup in the city. New Ruby Palace is our new favorite Chinese restaurant in H.B.

The food and service has dropped to the point where we won’t even walk here anymore. This place doesn’t bother with locals. So we won’t bother with them. They’ll be Ruby palace 4 soon enough Equally disappointing. Can’t wait.

My wife and I used to live in Huntington Beach and ate here quit a bit. Our favorite is the sizzling rice soup. Remembering old times we stopped in for some soup and to check out the NEWRUBYPALACE. ITWAS7:10PM on a Thursday night and they had 2 tables of customers. Basically the place was empty. We ordered the soup and hot tea and the waiters response was ISTHATALL? We replayed yes we just came in for something light. He said YOUHAVETOORDER $ 10 per person or we can’t serve you. My guess is this place will be out of business soon. Too bad it used to be one of our favorites.

Came in for a week night dinner and the place was not at all impressive. The food was mediocre. The décor made it enticing but the food didn’t live up to it.

Nice décor inside, Chinese music in background. It gives an authentic atmosphere once you walk inside. The food is overall great, I would give it 8.75÷10 for the food. Price is a little bit on the expensive size but expected in this restaurant setting. 2 people can dine in for $ 30-$ 40 for 3 course meal: soup, entrée, dessert. But I would still recommend calling individual items. I tried the Dragon Beef as everyone here suggested, a little spicy, but exceptional!!! House Special Fried Rice is good, but nothing to write home about. Mushu is yummy too. Overall, I would recommend this place for special occasion, whether with friends or family.

Excellent dinner tonight… my first experience at the New Ruby Palace. Fresh ingredients well-prepared, speedy, attentive service, and a nice selection of entrees. We started with the Pu Pu Platter and then selected chicken lomein and pork fried rice to accompany one entrée each: Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, and pork egg fu yung. Moochi ice cream, and we rolled home with leftovers for three days! Yum!

I visited this place last night. It had been recommended to me but with the caveat that it always seems rather empty but the services and food were great. It turns out to be quite the opposite, unfortunately. While I was eager to like this place, the service was slow and inattentive despite the low attendance of customers, and the food was slow to arrive and mediocre at best. For example, my vegetable egg rolls were cold in the middle. Basically, it was clear they were just frozen egg rolls that were dropped in the deep fryer fresh out of the freezer. Gross. I think this place has potential to be great, but they’ve got to staff up, prepare their food fresh, and clean up the cluttered décor.

Called in a lunch order at 11:30 on a Wednesday. It was ready when I arrived 10 min. later to pick it up. I checked out the bathroom before getting my food because the cleanliness of a restaurant bathroom can tell a lot about the owner’s/staff’s general attitude toward cleanliness & hygiene. The bathroom was sparkling clean! :) The service was courteous. The food was fresh and hot. My order was neatly packaged and came with sweet & sour sauce, hot mustard, fortune cookies, utensils and a napkin. My items were as follows: Crab Rangoon(I dipped them in the sweet & sour sauce): These were crispy, but quite bland. Definitely won’t order these again. Egg Roll: Crispy, flavor was pretty good. Fried Rice: This had a pretty good flavor but would have been so much better had it included some onion and peas. It consisted only of rice and egg. Sesame Chicken: This was the star of the show! Fresh-tasting and delicious!!! They were generous with the sesame seeds, too. This entrée totally redeemed the meal. I’ll give this restaurant another try — next time I’ll probably try the Pot Stickers, Kung Pao Beef, and Pork Lo Mein. If those items are good, then this place will be added to my list of regular take-out stops.

This review is based on the one item I had here, Hot & Sour Soup. I was dining at The Black Trumpet which is in the same plaza and a friend of mine mentioned the soup here was kick ass. Came back a few days later and BOY! She ain’t lying. Hot & Sour Soup is on FIRE! Best around town!!! They sure don’t skimp on the goods. YUM! There’s even several plumpy shrimps which isn’t typically included. It was the perfect flavor. Really GOOD! Final thought… Arguably the best Hot & Sour soup I’ve had. If you’re into that, COME try!

This place was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The place was old and looked very outdated. It was dirty and sticky and ugly. The service was terrible. No one spoke English and gave minimal help. They hated there job and it was transparent with how they worked The food. We ordered the sample appetizers. …deep fried and soggy. No flavor. Worst egg roll ever I ordered the dragon beef… it was deep fried beef. I was disappointed. Who deep fries beef. Also ordered the Kung pao chicken… no flavor and oily. If you respect your stomach you will never come here unless you want a deep fried disgusting meal.

This place is pretty good. They have changed around the layout of the restaurant so it feels bigger and more open inside. We went here for father’s day because dad really wanted Chinese food. We ordered shrimp with spice garlic sauce, vegetable low mien, steamed fish fillet with ginger and scallions, and shrimp fried rice. The fish fillet was fresh, tasted really good and was fully bone free. The shrimp with garlic sauce was great too. It had a really good flavor and wasn’t all that spicy. The vegetable low mien was a little bland but still pretty good. The shrimp fried rice came out cold :-(but we still enjoyed it. Their hot tea is pretty good too. The service was super friendly and nice. Bottom line: It’s a good Chinese food place, nothing mind blowing, just a good place.
