Whenever I go I never not get the 50⁄50 bacon burger with, if they have it, ghost chili ketchup and avocado. The beer flights are brilliant and I can’t go without mentioning that if you go to this place and don’t get a burger… I would say you are wasting your time, but the saving grace other than a burger or beet would be the mac and cheese. Fires are ok, but the burger is why you go to this place. Pretzel bun that baby and you got yourself meat heaven in your mouth. Vampire dip the crud out of your burger and screw heaven, you’ll be opening your third eye to straight up to cloud nine. Experience this place at least once in your life so you can say you lived.

Awful service. They delivered undercooked food, after a 40 minute wait. Didn’t refresh our drinks. Wings are tasty. Burger might be tasty, if I ever got one.

Since the one on Mission Viejo closed down, we decided to go to the one on Huntington Beach . I was quite disappointed because the turkey burger i ordered was a bit dry and less juicy. I wished it had more flavor and juicier. The service was great and we were seated right away.

So I ate here for the first time and it will be my last. Service was okay. We ordered our meals and I ordered a salad. I know a burger joint and I get a salad, but that was what looked good. I waited till almost everyone at my table was done eating before I even got my salad. They didn’t even say sorry for the delay. The salad was served cold and delivered beyond last. Good job Slatter! Towards flavor, it seemed off tonight. I left more than half my food. So overall bad experience for my first time!

It’s hard to go against thousands of positive reviews, but I found Slater 50⁄50 to be a disappointment on nearly ever level. Maybe I went on an off night, but service was very, very slow. We waited 10 – 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged our table. Finally a drink order, than another 15 minutes before we were able to order food. Drink refills were difficult to come by. Nearby tables sat abandoned, covered in mounds of dirty dishes. The staff was friendly, but appeared disoriented and disheveled. It felt like a fraternity house was running the place. The food looked amazing. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t match. I’m not sure if the chef quit that night and the bus boy was filling in, but the food was utterly repulsive. The fried pickles, or «freckles», were bland, dry and disappointing. The fried Mac n Cheese was pretty good though. As for the burger itself, it tasted like a cheap hot dog. Seven hours later and I’m still burping it up. I couldn’t even eat half of it. The patty itself is supposed to be half beef, half bacon. It tasted like 100% crap. Again, maybe I was there on an off night, but that was the worst burger I’ve ever eaten. I’m a big guy. I love to eat. This is the first time I can remember leaving with more than half my plate full.

Our family celebrated our daughter’s birthday with about 30 people Saturday night and what an amazing job this restaurant did! All employees from valet parking to greeters, servers, etc were attentive and polite! Extremely pleased how easily they handled the billing – extremely pleased! I give them a thumbs UP, A+ for service and quality of good!

This is a great place to eat, drink, be loud & catch up! I don’t know how often I can go here bc it always leaves me feeling like my arteries are gonna get clogged by the end of the night but it’s all soooooo delicious I can’t stop eating more! Love that you can create your own burger which is awesome and they have so much variety you can even have a pizza burger! Which was amazing the mozzarella on it was bomb. If it’s too overwhelming with so much choices there are menus created already so you don’t have to. Burgers comes out easily 15 – 20 $ with no sides everything is extra. Fried mac cheese is so worth it Vampire dip is addicting — said by one that said he usually doesn’t like or care for garlic! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful! Madison rocks One thing was when we walked in there was no hostess at the door and it was super crowded. We had to flag a waitress to ask about sign up sheets and wait time. A few minutes later she came back n it was a 25 minute wait. Which is fine bc the bars right there!

First time coming to Slater’s 50⁄50. I decided to do take out, service was fantastic and our host was wonderful. We received all our food correctly, but on our sweet potato fries they added salt.(I mean a lot of salt). At other places that serve sweet potato fries it comes with sprinkles sugar. So not sure if Slater’s is different and use salt instead but they just over did it and it ruined 2 orders of sweet potato fries. We have also ordered two 50⁄50 burgers and it was fantastic! The parties were cooked perfectly to our order, the egg was running like it should. No complaints on that portion whatsoever. I really wanted to give them 5 stars but the sweet potato fries just wasn’t there. But will definitely give this paper another shot.

I was craving for a super juicy burger and decided to try out the famous Slater’s burger joint. I was impressed with their menu because there were a variety of things to choose such as their signature burgers or create your own burger. I chose to create my own. I got ½ lb of beef and decided to try the vampire sauce. Now that was good! Definitely something you should get. I would give them five stars but the service was pretty slow and my waiter did not quite help me in choosing the burgers, I kinda just went with my instincts.

Service: 5⁄5 Food: 4⁄5 Came by tonight, a Saturday night, at around 7:20pm with my boyfriend. First of all, they get a plus for having free valet parking. The valet also warned us that there is about a 45−1hr wait w/I a reservation, suggested bar seating because it may be a shorter wait, and gave us a chance to decide whether we wanted to stay and eat or leave. We decided to stay. At the door, we were told the wait time again and took my bf’s # so they can send a text when a table is ready. It turned out to be about a 30 minute wait. When we were seated, we were greeted by a great waitress. Since it was our first time, she explained that they’re famous for bacon and 50⁄50 pretty much means half bacon and half beef. Throughout the dinner, she was nice and checked on us often. A customer next to us complained of how the beef was cooked, and she was very professional, apologized, took it back to the kitchen, and remained pleasant. Now, the burgers. We got the PB& Jealousy and the BBB bacon. Both were pretty good. Not out of this world but still pretty good. I liked the BBB burger better than the PB&J and the bf was the opposite. We also got fries & frickles which were good. The fries was a bit over-seasoned but the bacon ketchup was great with it. When we got our check, we also got a little card for a free burger next month! So we’ll definitely come back. I plan on customizing a burger next time.

Wow! This place totally rocks! Came to celebrate my dogs birthday here with some friends instead of going to our usual spots. We are impressed! The food was so good the burgers where full of flavors. We got the Old Timey and Bbb and both very good. They also have a dog menu with great prices and portions are big. For dessert we got the bacon brownie and we where able to split that in 4 it’s so big! We will be coming here instead of our usual spots! So glad a friend recommended it.

The experience five stars Turku goes out to a young lady with exceptional service standards! Kendra, we love slaters and go specifically when she is there she always goes above and beyond to ensure our experience is phenomenal! She always remembers your name, what you like to drink. Sometimes a while passes by and she will remember the beer I wanted and they were out of and brings something close to it. She is an entertainer, has a amazing personality and treats everyone who she serves the same! I actually hear people walking it commenting allow amazing she is and how slaters is so lucky to have someone like this on staff. Kendra job well done! Thank you for being you! And Sampson loves you!

Overall great service and good food. Used a Living Social deal where I paid $ 13 for $ 30 worth of food so can’t complain! Environment: Sports bar and regular seating. Definitely a diverse crowd here from the location! Food: * Strawberry banana shake: delicious and sweet! * 2 sides appetizers: onion rings and fries! Both were really good. Especially like the onion rings because it comes with this interesting tomato like sauce which I loved! * BYOB: Built my own burger, I got the Brioche Bread with the 50⁄50 patty made medium rare. With red onions, guacamole, tomatoes, slaw, kettle chips, and vampire dip sauce. I loved this burger and the taste of the chips and vampire dip and how it all went together. Only thing I didn’t like was the patty. Felt like mush and had no real taste to it, and wasn’t juicy. Other than that the burger was good Service: Our server Laura was super sweet and kind! She was always checking up on us! Price: came out to be about $ 40 without the groupon! Overall I liked the place, maybe I’ll try a beef patty instead next time. Wasn’t a huge fan of the bacon patty. Big portions also

A friend and I decided to do Slater’s 50⁄50 around 4PM last night. It was my first time at this restaurant, so I didn’t know what to expect at all when I walked in the doors. There was no line; the hostess quickly greeted us and we were seated within 5 minutes. Environment was lively especially with the NFL playing on several mounted TV’S. Our server was friendly and helped familiarize me with their menu options. Needless to say, I was excited to learn what 50⁄50 came from in their name(their original patties are half beef and half bacon). I opted to crafting my own burger(first time ever) and so did my friend. We ordered french fries and fried jalapeños as appetizer and went with Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout. The french fries & fried jalapeños came in a good portion, enough for about 4 people and came with two sauces: bacon ketchup(absolutely fell in love this) and cilantro sour cream. Finally, on to my burger creation! Both of our burgers were monstrous, juicy, and paired very well with the rest of our food and drink. I didn’t snap a shot of my craft choices, but from memory, I chose bacon pretzel bun with medium beef and bacon patty, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, mashed guacamole, pepperoncini, 1000 Island sauce, thick cut bacon, sunny-side up egg, and melted pepper jack, Swiss, and cheddar cheese. I wish I had saved more room for it, the burger was absolutely huge and well worth the price.

Just because the traffic sucks, parking in limited and the service is a bit on the nonchalant side, I’m not taking any stars away from the star of the show. That beloved 50⁄50 beef and bacon burger! I love this burger — don’t care about the crazy concoction or super combination of toppings. Get it with whatever you like on it — just get it. It’s the best dang burger patty you will have. Now there are associate stars at this joint. You cant go here without trying the bacon mac-n-cheese balls and the bacon ketchup is good enough to stand on its own. So yes, there are some issues that, I think, come with the territory and location. But for the most part you are going to love this place. And you’ll want to come back — again and again and again.

It’s primarily a bar with their burgers as the theme. Their beer selection is great. They always have stella and that’s the only one I seem to like to be honest, but I don’t like American beers. I’d take most european or Asian beers over most beers here but I’m not enough of a beer fan to speak with authority. Their burgers are pretty good. I usually make my own but for those who lack creativity, they have an eclectic selection on their menu. Not a lot of healthy options so if you’re into this«allergy» fad then maybe a bar isn’t where you want to eat. It’s a relaxed bar, not pretentious at all. It has a Nor Cal or non touristy HB vibe, but then again you won’t see me here on a Friday or Saturday night in the summer. The concept of bacon and beef or chorizo and beef sounds great but to be honest, it didn’t blow me away. Maybe I didn’t find the right combo of toppings yet. Their pure beef and(new) bison are great though.

The Skinny: Solid food, solid drinks, and TRIVIANIGHT! Environment: Great medium-sized bar with plenty of parking spots in their lot. The place is split to two main areas. The main area is for the regular diners and the backroom is used for events or Trivia Night every Wednesday. Place is set up with lots of wooden furniture so it feels like a typical bar but with a good amount of space. Great for people who don’t like being claustrophobic conditions(like me). Service: Staff here are very responsive even during the really crowded time periods. Super attentive service is always a must at these kinds of bars where the customer-base can fill up the place to the point where they turn people away from the door. It’s great to see that the staff keeps their positive attitude and demeanor despite how stressful it can be at times for them. Food: The food here is always solid bar food. Usually the fries are good and the fried jalapenos are great to share with your group. The burgers here are more than filling, and they are actually fairly cheap/affordable! Bonus: Trivia Night! It appears every Wednesday, Trivia Night occurs here and it’s a blast! It definitely adds to the fun of hanging out at Slaters with friends because now you have an overarching task/goal to work towards. Kudos to Slaters for allowing Trivia Night to happen! Overall: 4⁄5 Great, fun place with pretty open seating that you can hang out with friends for a night of drinks/food or a night of trivia. Check it out if you are in the area!

On my flight out to California, this was all I could think about. A half ground beef and half ground bacon burger is going to get your mouth watering no matter the time of day. My cousin had recommended it, so I took a cab straight from the airport to meet him. This place rocks. The food is great. There was a good crowd for 10am football. The bartenders were really nice to us, and they had the typically strong selection you find on the West Coast. The chili cheese fries were dynamite. Haven’t even gotten to the burger. There’s a variety of specialty burgers, but the coolest thing is to pick up an order sheet and build your own. Bacon jam, hash browns, guac, beer cheese, the list goes on. Don’t move to Cali for the weather. Do it for the burgers.

Service was good. Good place to bring friends if they want to watch sports, have a beer and lots of food(huge burgers, yummy milkshakes). Note: the beer fries are faint in beer flavor as it is masked by the chili cheese on top. Milkshake-pieces of bacon in thr milkshake.

My Ode to PIG Part 2: I Pine for fine Swine! Ima ’bout to Jam on this Ham! I will Waken for crunchy Bacon! Ok ok ok I’ve got it out of my system. Anyway you can imagine my unadulterated excitement when I found this place. Bacon + Beef = True LOVE! In fact I hope that one day I will find someone who loves me as much as I love Bacon and Beef. But I won’t hold my breath ;p. Seriously though let me start off by saying that the service here was first rate! On my first visit here they even brought complimentary Fried BACON Mac ‘n Cheese BALLZ with a side of AWESOMESAUCE!(No, really, the side if a Ranch Tapatio is FAT-tastic!). Crunchy on the outside, gooey cheesiness on the inside with that extra creaminess from the ranch and hint of spice from the Tapatio, pure gastronomical genius! I thought I would also love the Loaded Baked Potato Mac n’ Cheese but sadly by comparison although creamy is quite bland. They have a variety of burger combs as well as the Build-A-Burger(like Build-A-Bear but WAY more satisfying). There are so many options of bread, meat choices, dressings, and sauces it’s almost overwhelming. Major PROPs to this place for making unique and extensive sauce variations: Bacon Island, Bacon Ketchup, Baconnaise, Chipotle Adobo Mayo, Chipotle Mustard, Chipotle Ketchup, Frank’s Red Hot Mayo, Sriracha mayo, Tapatio ranch! What what?!? I didn’t actually like the bacon ketchup as much as I thought I would but tended to fancy the spicy combos more. Be warned that these burgers are more knife and fork(thus the knife impaled presentation) rather than eat by hand style because they are pretty large. Would even recommend getting one of these behemoth bad boys and sharing. I’ve had the 50⁄50 and the all beef. I thought the 50⁄50 was grease and saltier which is no surprise and actually preferred the beef with crispy bacon added on. Not the best burgers I’ve ever had but all in all a solid burger. Add that to an extensive craft beer-alogical collection on tap and you’ve got yourself a keeper! They will in fact offer you as many sample beers as necessary to find one you like… WINWIN I Say!

Burger was very fulfilling and good as well. Came here on a Friday noon for lunch and it was not packed at all. There was complimentary parking and many spaces to park if the place is not full. There was no wait to be seated. Food took a while to come out, but not super long. Plenty of seating, clean, service was great as well, as they check up to see what else you might like. Plenty of t.v. for viewing NFL news and games, as well as a bar for any drinks you may like. I ordered The Original, which was delicious and beefy. And also a side order of fries which had a bacon bbq sauce to it which was a perfect compliment to the fries. It tasted good and the fries were not soggy or too salty or plain. Just right. The burger had a beef patty, hamburger bun which was good, an egg, avocado, and just the right sauce taste as well as seasoning for the beef. It was pretty big and I was definitely filled with the fries and a lemonade. Price is around $ 11 – 13 for the burger or you can customize one yourself as well. Overall, it was a great place for a tasty burger, and would be back whenever I need some Burgers! Full to the point where I am about to fall asleep after big meal!

I was on the very edge of 4 stars… like a high diver wondering if it was simply time to commit… but wanting to give more, to be a believer in the 50⁄50 burger-sports-bar-local-favorite-rumors. My only hesitation was the slightly heavy seasoning on my turkey burger and the sweet pumpkin sauce with the sweet potato fries… then, when, out of the clear blue(ok, slightly hazy though an angry balls glass of tasty) sky comes the bar manager over to answer my questions about the new menu… voila! I do believe in his sincerity to address these new menu items and, matched with the expert refreshment pouring, kindness, & tap beverage knowledge of my bartender Dante, my 4 stars just swan dived into 5! Splash! Just like that! Oh, and for you football fans(not the Euro version, not the round ball, but the oblong one), there is a new happy hour menu M-F 11 – 6 that has been extended to midweek NFL games for your pleasure! Fries, quesadilla, deviled egg rolls(yep! I said that!), cocktails and beer specials are all yours now during games on Monday & Thursday nights, too! Can I get a hollllllaaaaaaahhh?(Pretend it’s 2010) Peace & love & burgers!

There’s a fine line in creating a good burger, so tread with care. There’s a saying: Some times it’s hard to make rational decisions when your eyes are bigger than your stomach. Here are my recommendations: The 50/50, half cured bacon grounded and already cooked, then mixed with another half of ground beef. The bacon portion in the burger is super salty if you go with the largest size offered. Reason being, it’s the same sized bun for more meat and the balance of ingredients is totally way off and making it overly salty. Go with the smaller sizes or try the burger that has fritos chips, because it has awesome flavor. The fries got cold quickly and easily became a turn off. My suggestion, is stuff it in your burger so you’ll have a mouthful while it’s still fresh. The onion rings were alright, but their bacon ketchup that they serve is pretty darn good. When is bacon not good? I’m not a beer kinda gal, so I can’t comment. They have a whole list of stuff on tap, so maybe your waitress there will recommend something good. It sort of reminded me of Yard House.

My mouth’s on fire! In a good way, lol. I’m a big fan of Slater’s. It’ s my second time at this location and It’s always the same for me. Good Burger, Good Service and always a fun time. The first thing you’ll notice when you get here is the FREE valet parking. Score! Just remember to tip the attendant =) We were seated right away and provided some menu’s We started with some Shaved Brussels Sprouts«Bacon, walnut, pomegranate seeds, blue cheese, garlic, bacon pretzel croûton & bacon vinaigrette» Holy molly, This is the BOMB. That bacon vinaigrette was the star of this dish. Then mix everything else and you’ll have a party in your mouth. Watch out though, that garlic is super strong. Before you know it, you’re going to need a mint. hahaha. Highly recommend this dish! I’ve tried most of the burgers they have, except one. The 50 Alarm Burger«Carne asada fire beef, ghost pepper jack cheese, bacon habanero spread, fresh jalapeño, beer battered habanero poppers on a brioche bun». It was HOT!!! The first couple of bites were intense, but once I got used to the heat, it was all good. I was sweating all the way through. I had a Maple bacon shake to cool me off, the shake helped a lot! wooo weeee! HOT! The wifey got the Maple Bourbon Bacon Wings — It was good, but with the sweetness, it got monotonous after a couple of wings. Still very good. Yum. Kid’s Mac N Cheese w/Fries — Wow, this was really good and they give a big portion too. The bacon chunks(not bits) were really good. My boy loved it! We checked in and got some FREE Onion Rings. Crunchy and super good. Just very oil though. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was great. The room we were in had about 6 or 7 TVs in it. Definitely a good place to watch a sporting event. For a nice outing with the boys(/girls) or a nice lunch with the family, you can’t go wrong coming here. There’s something for everyone, even a 4 year old. hahaha 2015 Review #70
