Starbucks

Starbucks are pretty similar as are any chain restaurant. This one has several pleather chairs to sit in but the real bonus is a pretty large outdoor seating area with both shade and sun. This looks like a common area shared with the burger joint next door.
I must say I got my trenta iced coffee the fastest I’ve ever gotten it and it was served with a smile.
This location is in a Ralph’s grocery store strip mall. Very convenient. But if you need a drive through there’s another one just down the street.
Clean bathrooms and customer area. I would definitely come back here again if I was in the area.

This location has been the best by far. It is one of the greatest location to study or just get a drink. The staff are so happy and so friendly. I got off work and needed a place to study. The staff greeted all their customers with the same vibe no change in tone always happy and cheerful. Just sitting there I felt the great vibe compared to my previous experience at a different location.

Worst and I mean worst Starbucks ever. Rudest employees I have ever met! Every time I’ve been there– They’re not only they rude but they make you feel stupid. I’ve been in there three times now and it’s like that every time. My son n law is a manager at Starbucks and my daughter works with the company as well — I’m pretty sure I know how Starbucks expects their employees to work.
If I could give this Starbucks a zero star rating: I would.

I love THIS Starbucks. They are quick, friendly, and helpful. I’ve only had them mess up my drink once but I think the girl was new. Other than that they are great. This is my go-​to Starbucks!!! And it’s 110% better than the Starbucks around the corner on Heil and Bolsa Chica!

This is one of my favorite Starbucks location to study/​work at
I wouldn’t normally review a Starbucks, but this place is worth mentioning. Not only is it nearby my house but I love the size and space. The people working there are friendly and the internet is fast. I am always able to find an outlet. My favorite thing about this place is the outside sitting area. It’s HUGE! There’s plenty of tables with roofing outside or those who want a little sunlight. It’s located in the corner so its quiet. Drinks are always good and consistent. No complains here.

I live within walking distance and come here 2 to 3 times per week. Way better than the Starbucks around the corner on Heil.
Its smaller, local, more friendly than one of their bigger regional stores.

Nothing truly special about this particular starbucks, but they do get the job done. You just have to make sure that they give you your change.

This is one of the nicer Starbucks. Extensive outdoor seating (probably shared with others on the property… but still very nice feature), pretty good interior space design with good access to outlets.
Better than the average Starbucks.

I’ve been coming here for years. Typical chain coffee shop with the exceptional patio area with the ocean breeze. It’s a great place to chill at night. They used to have local bands play on Saturdays I believe, but I’ve only caught the occasional skateboarder making the modern racket from its wheels hitting concrete.

The employees here are programmed to prepare drinks the way they have been taught and are not able to make any adjustments even if it is something as small as adding more caramel to a frapp. Three times I come here and order caramel frapp with xx caramel and they give me a drink with barely any caramel at all– even on slow days!

This Starbucks has grown on me. It has a really nice staff. It is not the best to study in. It is really small inside. I suggest going another location for that. I go here when we are at Ralph’s. They really try to get your drink right with a smile.

TL;DR: Even if this one is on your way, drive/​walk one street up to the Starbucks on Heil and Bolsa Chica. It has a drive-​thru, better seating, and won’t be so annoying to study in.
I don’t know how they did it, but this Starbucks is certainly far different from most Starbucks I’ve been to. In a bad way. They fulfill their franchise requirements, i.e. drinks are consistent to the franchise formula and their indoor seating requirements. but the way the staff is managed is sub-​par. I’ve been here more than 20 times in the last few months and more than half of those times, the cashier never seems to know how to type in an order. forget trying to load a gift card or request any special modifications to your drink, they’ll just bring in someone more experienced to type in the order and waste your time.
I don’t recommend studying here, if you need to charge your laptop, there’s two outlets in very awkward places. and I’m guessing the music is someone’s shuffle, as you may be listening Bob Marley’s «Buffalo Soldier» followed by Willie Nelson’s «Momma’s Don’t Let Your Children Grow Up To Be Cowboys». What is charming eclectic to one, may be annoying to another.

Simply the BEST DAMN CREW ON PLANET EARTH. I love my angels of java: Matt, Chris & Candace.

How many corporate coffee houses need a review? Well I was compelled because this Starbucks did not feel «corporate». Friendly and efficient staff who have to deal with some difficult people problems this close to the harbor. Store was neat as a pin. Restrooms clean. Beautiful patio that enjoys a gentle sea breeze in the afternoon. I almost hate to share this secret with the rest of you.

Unusual amount of good outdoor seating.
Lots of private parking.
Service was efficient and fast.
The only negative thing for me is: No secure bicycle parking to be found.
The most relaxed atmosphere of «any» coffee house I can recall.

I like this ‘bucks. It’s kind of tucked away so it’s not overly crowded. The staff is very laid back and friendly. They play EXCELLENT music, very eclectic, which is HUGE for me. I love places that have the balls to avoid the Mainstream.
Sometimes on the weekend you can even catch a group of guys playing their guitars and jamming a bit. Very cool and a neat vibe. Comfy seats and a real welcoming vibe. One of my favs for sure.
