Pet Setters

I just took my new 7 month old Labradoodle Maya to Carolyn for her first grooming.
Let me back track a little on Sunday I took Maya to Petsmart in Levittown to get groomed and they called me in an hour to say come and pick up your dog because she will not let us groom her and she tried to bite them. I was so stressed knowing that I put her through another traumatic experience .I called the woman I work with and asked for Carolyn’s phone number and made an appointment for Wednesday. Maya was shaking and very nervous. I can’t even express how happy and relieved I am. Caroline was so gooood with Maya she was so relaxed and Maya did everything she was supposed to do and Carolyn gave her an amazing grooming.
I can’t praise PetSetters enough. One dog at a time not the factory at Petsmart.

Where to even begin.
Over a year ago, I called to inquire about cat grooming. I basically wanted to know pricing information and whether or not they did Persian cat grooming. The woman I spoke to was downright rude — bordering on b! tchy. Was very flippant. Made me feel like a complete idiot for asking her any questions. Needless to say I wound up bringing our cat somewhere else.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago. Our cat was super matted (he hates being brushed), and we wanted to try and support local business. We were also in a bind and needed to get the hair cut asap. We decided to give this place a shot. (I clearly didn’t look on Unilocal and see the reviews…)My husband brought our cat to this place. The woman proceeded to LECTURE my husband for quite some time on proper care and made him feel like a total jerk for the state of our cat’s fur. Mind you, this is a well cared for and loved cat. She made him feel
like she was going to call the aspca on him. For matted hair.
When he picked him up, she literally showed him an Internet search on Persian cats with matted hair. My husband was horrified and felt like a scorned 3 year old. She actually had the audacity to follow it all up with asking him «Are you mad at me?» ???
I’ve NEVER dealt with a business like this one. I asked around, and it’s apparently well known. The owner complains/​cries about having little business to her customers. Geez. I wonder why.
We will be giving our business to PetSmart where we’ve never felt bad about getting our cat groomed, and where they do their JOB with a smile.

Whoever answers the phone is extremely rude. Didn’t even get to bring my dog in and will not ever do so.

Top notch experienced dog grooming (or styling as I like to say) with friendly and patient service at Pet Setters. In addition to grooming, they also have a great assortment of foods, toys, and other accessories. I highly recommend!

Crappy grooming job. What was even worse was the bad attitude by the groomer and the fact that she shamed me for not brushing my dog often enough. But she’s giving my dog decent cuts before. But this one was pretty horrible.
In fact she was so rude to my father and myself we decided to not to return. She told us «I cut your dog as short as I did because you don’t brush her enough».

My boyfriend brought his golden retriever, Dennis into Pet Setters and asked for him to be shaved for the summer. Knowing what an drastic difference that would mean, Carolyn took out her clippers and shaved a small section to make sure that was exactly what my boyfriend wanted. He confirmed that it was.
Upon returning, my boyfriend found Dennis looking (and smelling) fresh and in such a good mood! Dennis was clearly happy with his new look. My boyfriend was (as Carolyn predicted) stunned by the change, but once getting used to the difference and seeing how much happier Dennis, is so so pleased with the cut.
The people at Pet Setters are really great at what they do. The care they take with each animal and their level of experience are unmatched. Yay!

I had adopted a dog who had an ear infection so I decided to take him in for an all around cleanup. I knew he was a little dirty going in but coming out his fur felt like silk and he looked so clean and happy! Pet Setters did a great job!

Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about Carolyn and the job she does at Pet Setters. I brought my maltie-​poo Bo in for a grooming and he was completely overgrown, shaggy and dirty. He looked like a show dog when she was done. Seriously. And I spent the last portion of his grooming session with them, and could not believe how patient, exacting and good Carolyn was with my over the top, neurotic, whiny pooch. Carolyn has a very special innate talent for this, and I couldn’t imagine using ANYONE else. Do yourself and your dog (or cat) a favor and try it out if you haven’t done so already.

I am over the moon with how beautiful my dogs look after being groomed by Carolyn! I have 2 big Huskies who are hairy as hell and love to get dirty in our big back yard. They now look like show dogs! She paid so much attention to detail, there is not one inch of my dogs that doesn’t look perfect! The thing I like the best is there is no cages! My dogs roamed stress free and it showed in how happy they were when I picked them up :) The shop is small, but not cluttered, clean, inviting and friendly. I am so thrilled to have found Carolyn!
