We have visited this restaurant since it first opened. Our experiences have always have been excellent and we have never had any complaints about the service. It is one of our favorite Italian Restaurants, and we have come here almost every year for our anniversary. This time, our children were most gracious to have our 40th anniversary party here when the restaurant was closed to the public. The appetizers and entrees were all very good. It seems that we have always celebrated our anniversary here, the owner Dean, who we know very well, once brought us a Happy Anniversary cake to our table. Many of our favorite dishes here include Shrimp wrapped in Bacon Special, Tuna Steak Special, Stuffed artichoke when available as an appetizer and their Chicken Specials. The ambience is very cozy and romantic. The bar is near the entrance of the restaurant and also has that real warm cozy feel.

Everything is delicious here and the service is superb. Our table had the chicken scarpello, veal parm, short ribs and seafood Diablo. No complaints. And we will be back.

The atmosphere service and food are excellent. Our waiter Marvin took great care of us. Chef Andrew made wonderful recommendations for our meal. We enjoyed calamari, Caesar salad, LI duck, Panko sesame crusted tuna & Salmon topped with lump crabmeat. Each cooked to perfection. For topped off our meal with lava cake and crème brûlée.

Piccolo has the freshest and most authentic Italian food on the island. All pastas are made fresh to order and the place has a very old world feel to it. I’ve dined here about a dozen times and have been blown away each time. There’s also live piano background music that adds to the romantic ambiance.

Worth every penny!!! Best Italian on Long Island. First went in June and have been back 4 times. Every dinner is the best I’ve ever had. Every app/entrée is the best version of _______I’ve ever had.

Amazing but pricey! Great martinis and always amazing food. I have a problem that I can’t get myself to order something different. Baked clams oregenata and ricotta gnocchi a la pesto, leaving room for dessert. Don’t forget to order a martini. Great place to bring a date.

One of the better Italian restaurants I have been to on the island. Food is definitely prepared fresh and very filling. Service was excellent. Red snapper was great. Artichoke appetizer is a must. Only recommendation is that you request they go a little lighter on the salt. Will definitely go back.

Called for a reservation on a Saturday night, they were booked but had one table available if we could make it in 20 minutes, worked for us! When we arrived they put us in the front booth which I wasn’t impressed with until the curtains were closed and it was like our own private cozy, romantic booth, Service was excellent, 2 gents took care of us and food came out relatively quick. Food was outstanding, we got the buffalo mozzarella(melted in your mouth!) and tai calamari appetizers to start. I got veal marsala(was a little overcooked for my liking but was very good!) and my boyfriend got penne with marinara sauce and ricotta cheese. We didn’t have room for desert but the menu made my mouth water. By the time we got the check, the place was packed and it was almost like the guests entering the restaurant were eating with us(even had one rude guyn pull the curtain back and made a joke saying«oh that looks good can I have some?» ew). It was good that we got the earlier reservation because it was getting packed! Looking forward to going back!

Most amazing place. The service is perfect, the food is better than you could ever hope, and the overall atmosphere is so relaxing and luxurious. This is where me and my family come on every special occasion, and the best place for a date. There’s never disappointments.

great wine service! great food and very attentive floor manager and staff. Although we we’re sat next to the kitchen with a lot of traffic going in and out, the food and service was worth spending my birthday dinner here. I’m making a trip here once a month when I’m in town!

Piccolo is one of my favorite restaurants on Long Island. Beware, though: the kitchen underperforms somewhat when they’re rushed, making the restaurant good, not great, on a busy weekend night. For the best Piccolo experience, I recommend coming on a weeknight.(The piano player is also in-house Monday through Thursday, which improves the experience. He’s excellent.) Despite the fine dining cuisine and accompanying price tag, don’t mistake Piccolo for a quiet place to have a low-key date. The restaurant is frequented by Cold Spring Harbor and Huntington Bay locals and has the air of a lively family-style Italian restaurant, sometimes including small children or infants in the restaurant. If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant to wear a dinner jacket and whisper, this isn’t your place in the slightest. The food and service are excellent, and the bar prices are reasonable. On our last visit, my wife and I started with a goat cheese salad and short rib cannelloni, both of which were perfectly prepared. My wife’s veal parmigiana was first-class, and my blackened pork tenderloin in a citrus reduction, while slightly more well-done than I would have preferred, was delicious. Desserts were gelato and an incredible banana croissant pudding, which was like banana bread’s gooey answer to the cronut. Terrific all around. Highly recommended for people interested in upscale, expertly-prepared Italian cuisine in a lively setting. Try to eat here when they aren’t packed.

My second favorite Italian restaurant on Long Island. It is small and intimate. They have a piano player there ever night except Friday– Sunday. I like when he is there. My favorite things has always been the stuffed veal chop. the last time i went it just wasn’t up to the excellent standard it has always achieved so i will give them on pass on that. The whole menu is really great. I had the calamari with a mango sauce and it was the best I had ever had!!! Awesome! You wont be disappointed if you go. It has an incredible wine list as well. The service is great, but you will definitely wait for your table on a Friday or a Saturday even if you have a reservation(which you will definitely need).

I must be living on a different planet the the other people writing these 4 star reviews. Or maybe they have never had good Italian food, but ugh… what a bad dinner. We were seated promptly and told by our waiter that if there was anything we wanted that wasn’t on the extensive menu, we would be accommodated. That was nice, but the menu is huge, so … Started with my husband’s drink, which came with a METALSTRAINER in it. The apps were fine– he had Peconic scallops and I had Tuna Tacos(I know– not Italian– tasty, but seaweed salad in an Italian restaurant is just weird). The noise level was awful and conversations carry across the room, so we listened to a diatribe about the«86 Mets for a good portion of our evening. THEN, the entrees came. I ordered Veal Saltimbocca, which was pretty tasteless and needed salt because I couldn’t taste the proscuitto at all, which usually would have given the dish some flavor and the mashed potatoes(?) were bland. The sauteed spinach was good, but oily and that’s about it. My husband ordered Chicken Scarpariello and asked for pasta instead of mashed potatoes. The waiter wasn’t sure if that was possible. Hey, what happened to accommodating us if we wanted anything not on the menu? When the dish came, the mashed potatoes were on the plate so he asked that they be removed. The chicken served in cubes– very unappetizing and was overcooked and dry. He couldn’t eat eat and sent it back. His linguini came on the side and was overcooked and mushy, and the sauce was very sweet. It was our anniversary so they sent over a plate of whipped cream and strawberries– which was nice since our meal was so terrible. By the way– they charged us $ 12 for the linguini we asked for as a substitute. With all the good italian restaurants on Long Island, I can’t imagine how Piccolo’s has the reputation it has.

$ 5.00CHARGEFORSMALLERPORTIONSBEAWARE .we didn’t plate share but charge for that too. Main room loud and you are unable to have a conversation. Middle age 40+ crowd that is busy. Chicken parmigiano is good and scarpiello is good as well. Drinks menu is varied with martini and wine selections. Waitstaff came to the table promptly and filled water glasses. Restaurat is hidden outside of huntington village.

Unfreakingbelievable. The coconut shrimp are the size of petite lobsters and out of this world. Stuffed artichoke was like dessert as an appetizer. The stuffed veal chop might be the greatest dish ever, especially their«Flaherty» style with spicy vodka sauce. Piccolos is the gem of Huntington.

Came on a Saturday night with friends and it was crazy packed, uncomfortably crowded to the point where I was concerned of a fire hazard while standing over a couple trying to enjoy their dinner. I understand there was a Bridal Shower(a little odd in my opinion), but they were very late to out 9:00PM reservation. When you’re dining and at a restaurant of this supposed caliber, you have expectations and standards before you even arrive, this slightly disappointed me. Overall, the service was great and friendly. The food was good however I don’t think I’d go out of my way to go there. I’m glad I’ve tried it and if it were convenient then I’d go back otherwise there was nothing that was exceptional enough for me to return.
