The food is good and the drink selection is great. They carry a vast amount of craft beers and a wide variety of spirits. It seems that every time I visit here I end up in the back room. I hope that isn’t a sign… It would be nice to see them open up the restaurant and knock down the wall in between the back room and main dining area so that you don’t feel so secluded from everyone else.

We visited this restaurant last night(Saturday Feb 202016) after reading reviews that this restaurant offered many of their dishes as gluten free(it even says it on the menu). But beware, the only dishes that they offer gluten free are the four salads served for dinner. They do not have a dedicated fryer on hand. So if anyone in your party has to be gluten free and doesn’t feel like a salad, skip this place.

Good food, good drinks, friendly servers. Mac and Cheese Bites were fantastic. The Brewmaster burger was filling and excellent. I also highly recommend the peach cider as well as the Firefox ale.

My go to spot when in huntsville. Great location and friendly service. Wide selection of food and drinks and and live music is always good! Can’t wait to get back there and try some more grub and spirits. The burger I had was juicy and full of taste.

I took my boyfriend here on Monday night to celebrate his birthday. We sat at the bar because there wasn’t a table available, we got such great service. We have been before and sat at a table, the service wasn’t bad it just took a little longer. We started with drinks and the homemade Cajun chips, order a side of ranch to dip them in… amazing ranch as well! Next we ordered our meals and he got the Cajun rubbed ribeye and I order the rainbow trout. The trout was out of this world. My boyfriend loved his steak but we both finished my fish and took the rest of his steak home. The cheese grits were perfect, not too dry or runny. The sauce poured over the grits was the perfect mixture of spicy and creamy. who would have thought that arugula piled in the middle of the dish would be the best addition of something fresh… they are genius! Then on top of all of that… before you even get to the two perfectly cooked pieces of fish… is you guessed it… a fried green tomato! Hello… I took that puppy out and ate it on its own with the sauce. Now for the main event, rainbow trout, never have I ever ate the skin before but I couldn’t stop myself. It was crisp, well seasoned and I didn’t want to leave anything on my plate. As much as my boyfriend loves the steak, he said he will be getting the rainbow trout next time. This was our second date there, both around $ 100 each trip, but it is SOOOOOOOOO worth the money!

Good food and a great beer selection make for a perfect combo. It can get a bit crowded in there but it all adds up to a fun social evening. They usually have live music on weekends which is an added bonus. Lots of tasty food options from solid burgers to a very delectable charcuterie board. This is a great place to grab beers after work or to fill your belly after a local bar crawl. They also brew their own beer and showcase dozens of local brews from the Southeast region. Stop in and have a really decent experience.

Wow! This place is awesome! Food is so delicious, portions well served, every ingredient fresh,… Man! I can say a thousand words about this place. But I’ll rather have you try it out. You won’t be dissappointed at all! If you are into IPA, try«Straight to Ale Monkeynaut IPA» and support local!

Was in here yesterday and I loved it. I had the Bangers and Mash which was nothing short of delicious and rather authentic(I’m from an Irish family) The beer menu here is large, diverse and full of wonderful and uncommon craft brews. The whole restaurant, including the bathrooms, were very clean. Service was prompt and friendly. All in all, I live a couple hours away and will be driving back to Huntsville just for this place.

I came to this place on a Monday night. Although the town reminded me of a ghost town without a soul in sight, when I got to Below the Radar the place was warm and bustling with activity. I thought to myself, This is probably the place where the locals congregate on a weekday night. This place has an awesome beer selection and they brew their own beer. I had the humble heart burger and a beer flight. The burger was pretty tasty and the beer was delicious. I would def. come back if my travels bring me back to Huntsville.

Great location here for a good bar. I can tell the place is fun at night considering that I came in the afternoon for a bite after a long night of drinking on my birthday the night before. I was not too impressed with the wings I ordered and my friend had ordered the crab cake and she said it cold? Well we had gotten that replaced with a better one and it was free at that point. They have a good beer selection. I would have given a 3 but I can tell this place a lot more fun in the evening hours and will check it out in the future.

Ok first this place is high priced. But it is well worth the cost. The food is some of the best I have ever had. I got a Reuben and fries. The sandwich was one of best sandwiches ever. Enjoyed every bite. The fries are hands down best fries ever. Servers were quick with my tea refills. No regrets here. I will be back!

Fore a dive-y looking brewhouse I was happy with the food and service that we received during our trip to Below the Radar. One look at the menu, and you’ll discover how aptly named the joint is, with obvious effort going towards the well designed menu items. I had the house-made Black IPA as well as the Bangers and Mash, both of which I would recommend.

We were racking our brains trying to figure out what was a late place open that had a patio. We found Below the Radar & were excited to try it. We found a spot right in front & thought that was a good sign. We enter the bar & the hostess curtly told us that all the seating was full inside & if we wanted to wait or eat outside. We were fine with eating on the patio, we’d actually picked the place because of that. The inside was also pretty cold for being in the middle of summer. They must have a pretty strong air conditioning. We were sat at an outside patio table. Our server greeted us with a very jovial hello and asked what we would like to drink and if we’d had time to look over the menu. I ordered a bourbon and diet and Phillip ordered a Stiegl beer. The drinks were delivered by a food runner or bartender about 5 – 7 minutes later around 10;12pm. The person who delivered the drinks called mine a «jack and diet». Being from Kentucky and a resident of Tennessee, I know that Jack Daniels is whiskey and not bourbon. I’m not a huge fan of Jack, but I drank it anyway, well most of it. Our server came over around 10:15pm and took our order. I ordered the burger with smoked gouda cheese with fries and Phillip ordered the fish and chips. I received my burger around 10:26pm. It was brought out by a food runner, not the server. Our sever didn’t come back until 20 minutes later and seemed confused why the fish and chips wasn’t there. He went to check on it and came back to tell us that it was«his bad» and that he hadn’t put the order in and his«fat fingers» made the mistake. We waited about 13 more minutes until the fish and chips entrée was finally delivered. So there was 33 minutes difference from when the burger was delivered to the fish and chips delivered. If our server had come out a few minutes after the burger was delivered, he would’ve know that there was an issue. We also had to wait about 15 minutes after we were done with our food to get the check and then ten minutes after I’d put my card in the check holder. Our server gave us a sorry and a fist bump, but you’d think that after realizing that an error had been made he would be more attentive. This was not the case. The fries were good, I slowly snacked on them as I waited for the fish and chips to be delivered. I had the burger 33 minutes after as it was delivered because I was waiting for the fish and chips to come. We also didn’t have silverware or napkins. I tried the fish from the fish and chips and it was pretty good. The food was okay, but the service was terrible. I will not be back. Below the Radar is now OFFMYRADAR.

Me and my wife had the opportunity to visit Below the Radar last week. Great locations, and the ambience of the restaurant is spectacular. We could see the brewery literally from our seats. Our server was nice, and lucky for us we arrived during happy hour. We started our meal with the Mac & Cheese Bites and Jalapeño Poppers. The presentation for both was on point. However the taste of the Mac & Cheese bites was underwhelming, and in need of additional seasoning. The jalapeño poppers gave the feel of boudin inside, although they were slightly overlooked they were tasty nevertheless. We shared our entrees, I ordered the French Dip and my wife order the Crabcake po’boy. Presentation for both were consistent with the apps. In my opinion the French dip lacked seasoning and so did the Au Jus. The fries were great, and became the star of the meal for me. I had a bite of the crab cake po’boy, but was not impressed. The side of grits were interesting to me, and would have liked to try them paired in the Shrimp and Grits dish. After completing our meals, we decided to try a dessert. We ordered the brownie dessert which was $ 8, and was surprised to see the size of it. The was possible the size of Debbie cake and well over priced to me. Overall, if you’re looking for a craft beer experience and meals to pair, this is good spot to visit.

This is my favorite new place in Huntsville! To be totally fair, my record for being in Huntsville is about one every five years — but I can still have a favorite, right? I don’t think I’m the only one either. This place was slammed on a Tuesday night(inside and outside, nearly all the tables were full!)! It is easy to see why too. The rotating draft beer list is massive. I didn’t count but it was at least one full page long not counting the bottle list or bourbon list. And any place that highlights a whole page of bourbons has my heart forever. Especially if it is outside of Kentucky! They even have happy hour during the week(4pm-6pm). $ 1 off drafts and $ 5 appetizers. Based on a recommendation, I went with the fried green tomatoes and wings. I’d do it again, but only bother with the sesame ginger all the way. The jerk wings weren’t as yummy. Anyways. Big thumbs up to the staff for friendliness and the chefs for keeping our bellies happy!

Their customer service was great! I called ahead to reserve seats for my party of 5. It was a Friday night and they said the wait might be about 30 minutes. As we were outside trying to find parking, they called me back to let me know our table was ready and we wouldn’t have to wait when we got there. Our server was awesome as well. If you’re looking for beer, come here!!! Loads of choices. Also, Below the Radar is pretty close to all the bars. Here’s the food we ordered: Mac & Cheese Bites $ 6 Cuban Panini $ 9 Shrimp & Grits $ 16 Diablo Chicken Burrito $ 13 Cheeseburger $ 11 Citrus Chicken $ 15 Lemon Blueberry Bread Pudding $ 6 We started off with the Mac & Cheese Bites. They were good! I had the Cuban Panini. I’d probably order something different next time we visit, but it wasn’t bad. It came with fries and a huge pickle. Loved the fries, but I am a fan of thick cut fries. I had a bite of my friend’s Shrimp & Grits, and it was very good! Lots of flavor. My girlfriend ordered the Diablo Chicken Burrito. I didn’t try it, but she was pretty disappointed. I didn’t try the Cheeseburger of Citrus Chicken either. We all shared the Lemon Blueberry Bread Pudding for dessert. It was yummy!
