Great food and service. Steaks and fish all tasty. Josh made good suggestions and was good handling a business dinner of distracted diners. Well worth the stop.

The waiter was snooty and did not smile or exhibit any type of personality the entire time. I think his name may be Chris. He took away some food before we were finished with it, so that was annoying. The salads and bread were delicious, but sadly it went downhill from there. My husband had the pork chop, only because there was no NY strip on the menu, and he said it was nothing special. But the mac & cheese he was very pleased with. I had the filet and it was a wonderful quality. However it was basically ruined by a too salty demi glacé sauce. The risotto was undercooked and I was not thrilled with the fish flavor of it. If I had wanted fish, I would’ve ordered fish. There was no disclosure on the menu about the fish sauce. The Brussels sprouts were way undercooked but seasoned nicely. Overall, this meal was a disappointment for the price. Probably won’t return.

Our party of 6 and a toddler(extremely well behaved might I add) truly enjoyed our 1st experience at The Bottle to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The atmosphere was elevated yet not stuffy. I did feel our server could have been more attentive, however, he got the job done. From the appetizers to the entrees — everyone was pleased. I look forward to frequenting this establishment again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Great food, extensive wine list, intimate atmosphere. Great for a date night out or a business dinner!

First time at the bottle. Went there for New Year’s Eve. I left disappointed. I feel like I could have gone elsewhere for better food and service and at a cheaper price. The staff was nice but not really reliable and I felt like my table was the bottom of priorities. The cheese sampler was mediocre and didn’t finish it. Actually wish I got my money back on that. As for the rack of lamb and elk sausage, I ordered because it was suppose to be the best, it wasn’t all that. I felt like it was cold and no flavor. The sausage was okay but not great. Presentation of the food was not all that either. For Huntsville, there are better places and for cheaper. I think it will take a year for me to consider in going back.

My fiancé and I ate here just a few nights ago and it was wonderful! The atmosphere is very nice and romantic(soft music playing with dim but not dark lighting). We had the spicy rocket bay shrimp for the appetizer and it was fantastic! Nice sized appetizer exploding with flavor and reasonably priced as well for such a high end place. For the entrée I ordered the 6 oz filet with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Let me say this, it was the best steak I have ever eaten. Not only was it seasoned perfectly but it was so tender you could put it apart with your fork. My fiancé ordered the seared scallops and the quality was equal to that of the filet. The scallops were so tender it was comparable to cutting through room temperature butter. The scallops were served with risotto and asparagus. We would have loved to have desert but unfortunately we were too full. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a date night or just looking for place that takes pride in their food. Expect to pay $ 90 for an appetizer and two entrees.

New Balance Huntsville chose The Bottle for its annual employee Christmas Dinner, and we were not disappointed. It was the first time that any of us had dined at The Bottle, and from the moment we entered the staff was friendly, attentive, and courteous. Special shoutout to our waiter, Scott, who was knowledgeable and professional while remaining friendly and open to our questions about what was popular or how different items were prepared. I ordered several specialty cocktails including Winter Thyme, Sauzerac, and Forbidden Fruit. I was surprised that Winter Thyme ended up being my favorite since I normally do not prefer vodka; the bartender had an excellent mix of fresh ingredients that kept me happy with my drinks well into the meal. The appetizers and entrée were prepared promptly, and Scott even brought us plenty of bread and butter gospel throughout the meal.(I say butter gospel because the house prepared butter was that good I have to preach about it)! I ordered veal at a medium rare temperature and several of my co-workers ordered lamb at medium rare. Andy, the chef, had the meat and accompanying vegetables cooked perfectly. The mushroom sauce and potatoes that served the bed of my meal were as delectable as the tender, juicy meat. Finally, for dessert our table ordered the chocolate dome, bread pudding, and crème brûlée. I was immediately taken by the interesting texture of popcorn added to the chocolate dome, and I normally dislike bread pudding, but The Bottle’s was flavorful without being too mushy. Thank you for a fantastic meal! We will certainly be back. –New Balance Huntsville

I decided to bring my mother here for Mother’s Day a couple years back and my Mom and I still continue to rave about this place. From the exotic entrée options to the beautiful décor it proved to be one of the best places we’ve been to in town.

Krista was our server and I cannot brag on her enough. She was absolutely phenomenal. She was very knowledgable as well as informative. Unfortunately my first rare steak came out and it was definately WELL done, sent it back and it came to me not a cool rare temp but a out of the walk in hard cold temp. Third time was a charm but Scott the«lead server»(as he introduced himself) didn’t even apologize, but instead made a excuse about the CEO of Toyota being upstairs. Little did he know that that’s like saying it was the CEO of Baskin Robins; who in fact was sitting at my table. Overall the food was excellent with the exception of the steak. I cannot express enough how pleased we were with Krista. Scott step up your game or Krista will be replacing you. Thanks again Krista for the wonderful experience on my mothers birthday.

We went for lunch. We will most certainly be going back. My only complaint was the server knowledge on my dish. I got the Beef Tenders, a cut of meat that is prepared ceviche. The Chef Andy had already talked to to me about the dish and how it is prepared to a perfect medium rare, well, he sold me on it. Needless to say, when the server came to take my order and then asked me what temp I’d like my meal, I said Rare. His response was(paraphrased), «well, sir, the chef would prefer to serve it at a warmer temp and to be honest, it is much better at a more prepared temp, but I’ll ask the chef.» Sure enough, he returned and said that it couldn’t be prepared to rare and if that was OK. Of course it was OK, I was already sold. Chef had already told me everything I needed to know about the dish, including 5 he fact that it is already Med Rare. The dish was EXCELLENT.

This is such a lovely restaurant. The staff is attentive and the food is excellent. Travis and Brandi took excellent care of me. The price is a little exorbitant, but I truly am paying for the atmosphere here– and that’s okay. My only recommendation would be to expand the wine by the glass portion of the menu, I found that most of the wines I chose were only available in bottle form. Try their cocktails though, very tasty. I will be returning every chance I get.

We have tried many restaurants in the area & yet again, the Bottle is 2 steps above everyone. From when you walk in the door, until you leave, the place is a beautiful combination of outstanding food, ambiance & impeccable service.

Five stars, because most of the food was outstanding. Four, because … well, the value was good, but not excellent. Basically, you get what you pay for, but no more. So four stars or five?(Sound of coin flipping.) OK, five stars. My wife, daughter and I were there for said daughter’s birthday. We employed enhanced congratulation techniques because in addition to surviving another event-filled year, she also recently got to append the letters«RN» to her name.(Woo-hoo!) Since the service was outstanding(thanks, Billy and team), unobtrusive and present and professional and friendly and quick and subtle, five stars. Had a little issue with menu choices. I had foolishly eaten a big but unsatisfying lunch at work, forgetting(insert embarrassment here) my later obligation. Sigh — it was Friday. I just forgot. So the menu looked heavy and bloating. It looked like a whole lot of rich, fancy food I couldn’t fit into my poor defenseless belly. Even the salads looked … big. But then our neighbors’ dinners were delivered. I don’t remember what the woman had, but it looked pretty yummy. The guy’s steak, though — It looked good. But it smelled awesome. I don’t order steaks at restaurants. My dad’s steaks were so good that no restaurant can match ‘em. Restaurant steaks tend to be a salty, bloody disappointment in comparison. This steak’s aroma reminded me of my dad’s steaks. I felt my stomach quickly sticking parcels of red beans and rice into any corners and pockets it could find. Room must be had, by golly, to make way for a sampling of beef. Anticipating that this work would prove successful, but not miraculous, I ordered the filet, even though for four dollars more, I could have had the full strip like the fellow to my right. Or the 32-ounce vacuum-marinated 12-hour-braised monster that was last Friday’s special… No, the filet. My wife got scallops; my daughter, snapper. We ordered a wine. Three stars for my Turley — one of those too-much-alcohol wines, meh. Wife’s Au Bön Climat white was reported to be excellent. Daughter got an Arimiki, which she enjoyed tremendously. Get that. My wife got the okra and tomato salad to share. The okra was some of the best I’ve ever had, and I love okra. Get that. The steak was tremendous. Get THAT. My new favorite in town. Yes, better than Cotton Row and 1892. DANNNNG. The scallops were some of the sweetest I’ve ever tasted. Not many of the critters, but rich and… kind of like just enough to make you want to come back here another night and order more. Not enough to make you tired of them so you’ll go somewhere else next time you take your daughter out for a special dinner. Get that. Daughter tried the snapper. I love snapper, It’s calm, firm and delicate at the same time. It begs for a good sauce, the right sauce, which it will carry and complement and help you remember it the next day. The snapper itself was that snapper. The sauce — or rather, the Stuff On Top, wasn’t. The snapper went one way, but the Stuff On Top boldly ran off in another. I don’t know if it was an off night for snapper, but we gave it three thumbs down. We had to have dessert, according to the women. Ugh — it wasn’t going to fit. Daughter is on a diet. So we decided to share a dessert. They did, anyway. No way I could work it in. Ugh. Only $ 7, so it couldn’t be too big, right? I wouldn’t feel bad with just a taste and leaving the rest to the family. At the waiter’s recommendation, we got the chocolate dome along with three spoons. It was fun: a ball of chocolate delivered by the waiter, with an apparently warm chocolate sauce toted to the table by another server and poured over, causing the dome to soften and crush into its hollow self and covering the ball of delicately-flavored peanut butter inside. A taste by all. Politely, we DEVOURED the thing. And I mean«we» — a little more rearrangement in my internal midsection resulted in enough room that I held my own with my third, with just enough left over to handle the chocolate drizzles left over on the plate before it was taken away. But it was so rich that it was plenty for the three of us. Yeah, get that. We had fun. The food was great, mostly. The service was outstanding. The store is beautiful, and the valet parking was even wonderfully quick. And while a little more expensive than I’d have believed given even this quality, you won’t go out feeling like you got a bad deal.(Certainly not a bad meal!) Five stars. Yeah, five stars. Go there.

Finally, Huntsville. Finally. How do you make an otherwise unassuming Monday in suburbia a memorable culinary experience? Book a table here, before 6pm… tell ‘em it’s your birthday, even if it isn’t. And if you’re not satisfied, grab another menu and try again. I started the evening off with a half dozen turtleneck oysters, which were great on their own but perfect with the standard accompaniment. But what stood out was a very distinguished cocktail, whiskey and – get this – smoked meyer lemons. Eureka… I’d have had a half dozen if not for present company. The corn crab chowder was balanced and classically good, as was the fork-full of Grouper risotto I was awarded. My main for the night was a poultry trio; duck breast, marinaded duck leg, and quail. The quail was the best I’ve had since Watermark in Nashville a few years back, the duck leg was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the breast was near perfect. Accompanied by fairly standard asparagus and wild rice, it was classic upscale fare. So how was the service? Billy was impeccable and knowledgeable of the entire menu. He was also there when needed, but not shadowing, either. My impression of The(new) Bottle is about what my impression of Cotton Row was, circa 2009 – 2010: about the best there is in town. Not necessarily the best value, but when price isn’t an issue… this is THE restaurant in Huntsville. To me, this is much better than James Steakhouse that used to occupy the space. What that says for Boyce’s hold on Huntsville’s haute dining scene is up to you to decide. I’ve pretty much already made up my mind, but that won’t stop a few more visits for«research» purposes.

We had a wonderful dinner there. Both of us are from New Orleans and know good food and fine dining! The dinner was awesome! The service was great! The chef even came out to make sure we loved everything! Try it! Best steak in town. You won’t be disappointed!

Upscale dining, with nice ambiance, and an exceptionally competent wait staff, but all the entrees were between $ 30-$ 40 which seemed high to me for Huntsville, AL. The food is fresh and most of it local. The portions were large — too large, in fact. Of the 4 people eating in my group, only one 30-something male could finish his. Food presentation was nicely done, the noise level was good — we could have a conversation at our table. The wine list was good –but also seemed high with a markup of at least 3 –4 times retail. The chef was visible and came around late evening to talk to customers — a real nice touch. This is a really good restaurant and should be considered when you have a reason to impress friends or have a nice evening out.

Huntsville, AL– What a pleasant surprise and a great staff at Huntsville, AL– The Bottle on a night I wasn’t expecting it. Cozy and complete bar area pleasantly covered by bartender Brandy. But also a team effort as I felt completely taken care of as Chef Andy stopped by and insisted I try the Okra salad app(complimentary) with heirloom tomatoes and arugala accompanying the fried okra… fantastic– always listen to the chef! To top it off, one of the wait staff heard me considering the Black Grouper and poured me a sample of an Oregon Pinot Gris that was superb on its own and even better with the grouper. A sweet crawfish sauce with carrot, asparagus zucchini and summer squash over a bed of risotto. WoW! And oh, i started with the Rocket Shrimp, which are small but great texture mixed with peppers and a sauce that was delectable! Overall a really wonderful experience and a great team effort at The Bottle!

The wife and I shared an order of The Bottle’s Pasta, with Scallops added on top. They split it for us for free. This restaurant is an asset to downtown Huntsville. We showed up about noon for lunch on a Thursday. There is a parking garage just across the street on the south side. We didn’t require it, though. There was an open parking space on the street just around the corner to the north. We had no reservation, but were seated immediately. The restaurant was about half full. They deserve a few more diners at lunchtime. I liked it. I enjoyed it more than Cotton Row, as it was more relaxed. We each drank tea. The chef also brought us a complimentary tomato salad, for no apparent reason. «Made with Amish-grown tomatoes, from Ayers Farm market.» Our bill for this lunch was right at $ 30. That felt a little high, but it’s a fine dining restaurant, and we’re glad we went. We left comfortably full. I give them four and a half, overall. And yes, we do remember dining at the Green Bottle! I think it was where Surin is.

The bottle delivers the total dining package. I miss the vibe from the airport road location days but it’s a well oiled culinary machine. Impeccable service and food. More upbeat background music would make it unbeatable. In and out in around 45 Minutes without feeling rushed. Superb food And a lot of locals chatting with each other median age. 55. Super clean friendly and professional. Go there.
