Meh :(went with a group of 4 and was seated promptly(several open tables) that is where the good service stopped. SLOW. Never offered water, never checked on us after bland, barely warm food came. Selection of menu appeared good and if they could season, cook, serve it warm; it would have been. Just because the plate was warm(put under the broiler) doesn’t mean the food was. Table got ahi tuna(over cooked, should not need a knife to cut this), shrimp scampi(a tad uncooked and luke warm), Alaska Mac n cheese(velveeta and shells, under salted, a little ok crab) again cheese top warm from broiler and bowl warm but not the actual food. Chicken(not bad) under season warm mashed potatoes, and chicken w/shrimp. Same complaints, cold/luke warm, under seasoned items. Food way overpriced for the quality. We really wanted this to be good but just NOT. Staff just stood around. When asked what beers they had, was told«I don’t know, you can get up and look». Really? Do you just try to hire bad staff? Will not be coming back. Will not recommend– all the chain restaurants are leaps and bounds better. They barely rival fast food joints. I hate to give poor reviews but I just couldn’t let poor unsuspecting people pay so much for so little.

Love this place! During the week it is a fantastic lunch and dinner spot, late nights and weekends it’s a cozy watering hole for the beer and wine lovers with a spacious backyard, seating, games and a fire pit!

D’railed went through a rough patch when the food and general tenor of the place went sideways. We’re relieved to report that D’railed is back on track(get it?). We love the funky vibe and look forward to the return of cocktails. Meanwhile, the menu, while limited, has something for everyone and remains a pleasant departure from standard Idaho Falls fare. Pick something with one of the unique sauces and take your time savoring the thoughtful combinations of flavors.

I cannot believe the other reviews, this place should not have stayed open 4 years. Okay, the place itself is funky… Reggae and Modern Folk on the PA, an eclectic but sparse décor, and the backyard looked very nice. But there is where the good vibes ended. Bar… Wine and beer… Not a «bar» at all. Wait Staff… One person for the joint, but we were the only ones in the restaurant proper. She was nice, honest, and occasionally attentive… But I had to ring the front door bell to get a check. Food… Hmmm… First, no vegan options, which made me sad… So I went vegetarian. «Baked Brie & Fruit» was Sam’s Club brie with thawed frozen strawberry slices. Come on… Not even fresh strawberries? Not even«fruit» in the plural form, just strawberries? At the peak of summer??? My father had the«Schuckubus», which was like the second tier sea food option… The crab legs were either Alberson’s or Sam’s Club… They did not crack, but bent and had to be cut with the tines of the fork. The shrimp was shelled, obviously frozen… Again, likely Sam’s Club. The clams looked okay, but the sausage was again bought, not made and uniformly gray. I tried the corn… Old or frozen, but not good. Service was slow enough that they gave us a free garlic toast appetizer, which was nice. Finally, as my pops worked through the legs, I ordered a salad… «Something with vegetables». I got a bed of spinach, mushrooms, diced tomatoes and a store bought vinaigrette, which was sad as I asked for the balsamic vinegar from my brie plate. To top this all off… $ 3 ice tea and a tab of over $ 70 for the above… My father does not leave food at the table, and he left half the crab and all the sausage. «I have to stop, or I’ll be sick» was his comment pushing away from the table. And I honestly could not tell if it was the volume or the quality that prompted that comment. Not what I would call a «gastropub» experience at all.

I’ve been here twice now and the service always is horrible. I tried this place for the first time probably about three years ago and I was appalled by how bad it was. I came back yesterday with a friend to see if it was any better. Nothing has changed. When my friend and I walked in accidentally hit somebody seated with the door, and apologized. We weren’t greeted and stood in the middle of the dinning room awkwardly wondering if we should seat ourselves or not. Finally, a waitress seats us but in the back room where it is very dark with only one barely working lamp, and next to the bathroom. After we were seated, we sat and were asked for what drinks we wanted and waited another 10 mins to get them. Another 30 mins passed before the waitress took our order. I tried to order the salmon and it wasn’t until I was done ordering that she remember that they ran out of salmon for the night so I had to change my order. She said to me «I guess I should’ve told you earlier about that…» YES that would’ve helped! After that it took 40 more minutes to get our salad. I was going to ask for more dressing but she never came to check on us. Another 40 minutes passed before we got our shrimp that we ordered. The food was decent and pretty good but it shouldn’t have taken 80 minutes to get. When the waitress«checked» on us she talked to us from the other room and to the back of our heads. I thought that was pretty rude. After that, we waited on the check for a very long time about another 20 minutes or so. She didn’t put the check in one of those black booklets so when she placed it on the table it became soggy from the leftover watermarks from our drinks. We waited again for a long time and my friend just was upset that nobody was coming so she went and handed to a guy working on the register. He told her«I didn’t even know you were here and I’m the manager.» Wow really?! You are the manager and you didn’t even know in this small place who is dinning here??? He asked me «How was the shrimp?» and I said«Good» and he said«how was everything though?» And there I just sighed and he said«What now?! I thought you said it was good» HOWRUDE! I was walking out of this place and its so tiny and crowded I accidentally hit a chair with my arm and said«shit» as natural response and I got glaring eyes from everyone in this place. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. It’s called«D’railed» because it’s a train-wreck.

Food is always great and love the wine selection. Staff is attentive and making sure your drinks are filled. I love the unique foods they come up with like the bacon wrapped mushrooms. The atmosphere is cool it’s in an old house with wood floors and they redid the patio so it’s adorable. Oh and did I mention love the wine!

We went there this evening for our anniversary on the recommendation of friends ! My husband had the prawns and I had the flat iron steak. The food was amazing. steak perfectally seasoned/cooked. I would definitely go back, especially for the slutty brownie for dessert! The atmosphere was fun and quirky. Food was well presented. It’s a little house by the railroad tracks. Looking at this place from the outside, you would never guess the gem inside. Just be prepared for a few train whistles to interrupt your conversations, but my husband loved it. He loved watching the train cars go by as we ate! :)

I super like this place. All the times I have gone its been a more quiet atmosphere. I love their selections. I tried the macaroni and cheese and it was to die for, with just enough spice to it. So my next trip I got the macaroni and cheese sandwich and it was huge and delicious. Also try the slutty brownie with friends. It’s not on the menu but a great dessert to share with friends. :-)

I came in here with my wife to get some appetizers and some drinks during an afternoon. The food was good, but for the price, the appetizers were tiny. I understand that upscale dining is about quality and not quantity, but come on!

D’railed was unfortunately not worth the time or money. We were really looking forward to the 3 course Valentine’s Day menu but the whole evening seemed to be poorly prepared and executed. They ran out of several menu items(potatoes and ice cream) by 7:00PM and did not make anyone aware. We could hear several other guests express their dissatisfaction. After finishing our main course we waited an HOUR for our dessert. We watched two couples get their brownies a la mode before us(both of whom had arrived and were seated after us). When our brownie finally came, it was served a la nothing. Our total time at table time was 2.5 hours. It’s really a shame to pay $ 70+ for such poor service. This restaurant would be better as a coffee shop or small bistro. Very small quarters and one shared bathroom for all. It is also very poor public relations to delete a customer’s politely written review. Which they did moments after reviewing on Facebook. You were warned!

The food is fantastic. The chef has a unique style and menu that is definitely not ordinary. Excellent place for the perfect intimate meal.

I liked the atmosphere, but the tables are way too close together. The whole place feels extremely cramped. Service was okay. Waitress could’ve been a bit more attentive, and it took quite a while for anything to come out, even the salad – even though the place was empty when we first showed up. Prices were high – we spent around $ 25 each, and that was without drinks. The food was, for the most part, good. But at their prices, I was expecting a little more quality. It looks like a fantastic menu, but of the five items we got, two were fantastic, two were good, and one – the asparagus – was significantly overcooked, to the point of being mushy. At more reasonable prices(perhaps half of what they charge) I’d give them four stars. Overall, not a bad experience, but there are better local restaurants with better service, better food, and similar prices.

Be careful when going that you aren’t over charged Ran my debit card for my meal and someone else has now been 14 days and money still hasn’t been returned. Owner has now told me he would do a credit twice and never apologized for there mistake Will not recommend for go back

Great service! The food is a little pricey for what you get. There is a great wine and beer selection. We sat outside since it was a nice day. They could stand to spruce the outside up a little bit. There is a great, large space but it looked a little run down.

At the top of my list for great places in Eastern Idaho. Good food and specials. Service always good and a nice selection of craft brew on tap. Unique place, a little small inside, but the outdoor patio is awesome. Shoes, cornhole, and plenty of benches. Way to raise the bar for the area, D’ Railed!

Quite possibly one of my favorite places in Idaho Falls. The food was great, the beer was great, and the atmosphere was unbeatable, especially in warmer weather.

First off, the service was great… no complaint there. However, the food was a different story! I got their snow crab special. For 15 bucks I got a salad that had fake bacon, fake cheese, and store bought ranch on it. The crab was over cooked and rubbery, and some of the pieces were very cold. The loaded mashed potatoes I got on the side were very cold in the center. It is a very small restaurant and we were seated in a small room with a curtain separating our table from the bathrooms. Eeek! On a side note… my husband got a sandwich and fries and was pleased with his meal. Wish I had ordered what he did!

This is a great place, off the beaten path, and very original. It’s in an old house by the tracks, and offers a wide variety of salads, steaks, and fish. Interesting photos and décor, great food, and friendly service make this place a great choice in Idaho Falls.

What a way to kick off a sunny afternoon, lunch at d’Railed. The waitstaff is diligent about facilitating the first delicious brew to be delivered to my table and then promptly down my gullet it goes. The baked brie with fruit is heaven on a baguette… Sandwiches take time as they are all freshly created. I haven’t tried dessert yet but it’s hard to choose. The crème brûlée(all time favorite dessert) or the slutty brownie… Life is rough…

I thought the previous review was a bit harsh. I don’t know about stealing money from customers, but I had a good time at D’Railed last night. The snacks they provided were tasty and reasonably priced. They had a good selection of wine on hand. Didn’t try the beers, but they had some interesting ones. The atmosphere was good, and they had a decent band out the back. There seemed to be quite a few gay guys around, so maybe this is a hangout for them. I’m straight and nobody made me feel uncomfortable. Everyone was chill. I’ll go back next time I’m in Idaho Falls.
