Gandolfo’s New York Deli

Yummo! Great sandwiches! Was a nice stop on our way through Idaho. Would definitely go again.

Excellent food, you can plan on trying something new every time you go there and always be satisfied! This place bring wonderful diversity to small Idaho Falls.

This is my favorite place in Idaho Falls for sandwiches. I’m always surprised they are not busier than they are. It may have to do with there prices, but their sandwiches are worth the price in my opinion. Some of the foot long’s are around $ 10. The «king of queens» is my favorite. The Philly cheese steak is really good too. If this place ever closes down it will be a sad day. The meat they use is a higher quality meet compared to places like Subway or Jimmy Johns. Never had a bad sandwich from this place.

If you are looking for a good, solid sandwich in the idaho falls area: gandolfos will cure your craving. After weighing the few options I had in idaho falls i decided on gandolfos. Considering this sandwich shop had 5 stars, I assumed that I would get a good and affordable sub. Upon entering I noticed the unique and fun décor. The atmosphere is inviting.
We ordered 2 subs (we split both, that way we could try more than one thing on the menu).
Urban cowboy: This sub was my favorite of the 2. The cream cheese and bbq sauce worked together. My complaint is, the bacon on this sub is microwaved. The rubbery, fatty texture gives you the «I’ve been microwaved a few times» vibe. The bread (6 inch) was dried out. They also skimped on the meat and other toppings.
Godzilla: The raw onions, peppers and jalapeños were a bit off putting. I was not impressed. The seeds were in the raw jalapeños, which made them abnormally spicy and overtook the flavor of the rest of the sandwich. The chicken cutlets (chicken fingers basically) were a bit fatty and on the cold side. The bread was dry on this sub as well.
Complimentary cake with Unilocal check in: There is a small catch. It’s not technically «complimentary.» You need to purchase a sub sandwich in a combo meal, in order to receive the cake. This was by far the best part of the meal! The cake was moist and tasty. The thick layers of mousse between the cake were light and complimented the cake perfectly (I ordered one to go also). I would definitely recommend this item.
Chips and drink: Included in the combo meal. There is a fairly large selection.
So, I do believe my experience was 3.5 stars. Although, since I cannot give 3.5…I believe they were closer to 3. I will give them a shot another day. Although, next time I would order different sandwiches.

I came in for dinner on a Wednesday night and didn’t know what I wanted. The employees were GREAT about helping me decide what order. Ironically, I also received a free movie ticket when I purchased a drink with my sandwich (they do this on Wednesdays between 5−7pm, I believe). I had already planned to see a movie so this was perfect!

Nothing flashy, just a damn good sandwich, NY deli style. Don’t be overwhelmed by the huge menu, the staff is very friendly and very helpful. I ended up with the full size rueben. This thing was packed full of delicious pastrami and sauce, and I was surprised how much it filled me up.
No question, this place is using fresh cut, quality meat that makes these quality sandwiches. A great visit.

I really enjoy Gandolfo’s, and have been going there for awhile. The sandwiches are delicious. My only criticism is the price, it is quite spendy for a sandwich shop in my opinion.

Best place in/​around Idaho Falls to get a sandwhic meal! Everything on their menu is deliscious! There is something for everyone! The employees that work there are also amazing!

Easily the best sammiches in town. If you want it, they have it. The variety of the menu makes you want to try everything. If you haven’t eaten here yet go there now.

Great sandwiches at really great prices! I try to come here at least once every time I travel to Idaho Falls for work. Gandolfo’s has a really massive selection and everything I’ve tried has had a lot of meat, and a lot of flavor.
A couple of my favorites are the bagel sandwiches and the Reuben, so if you’re a fan of either type of sandwich I recommend trying one here. Have had a couple of the pasta salads as well along with my sandwiches and they’ve all been top notch right up there with the sandwiches.
Hard to go wrong choosing to go here, good food, good prices, and always very attentive staff that are always willing to help with a suggestion for a good bite!

Great sandwiches that actually remind me of NY. And they have pretty good veggie options too, which can be very helpful in Idaho Falls!

I love this place went here for the first time a week ago and and got The Crew breakfast sandwich it was hot and fresh it was awesome. Will keep going back.

The best deli in town! They slice the pastrami fresh every day, this is the real deal, if you want a true new York style pastrami sandwich this is the place to go. Love it, 5 stars for sure!

Classic sub sandwiches. Yummy. Staff were super friendly cute décor. Wish we had one in Portland or Washington.

I came here on my way from Dillon, MT to Boise, ID. The staff were really friendly, and talked with us for quite a while about our trip. The sandwiches themselves were pretty good, and I was very happy to get such a good meal during a long day of travel. I would return here if I am every in the area again.

Best deli in town! Incredible staff that are passionate about good food. Try the crew breakfast sandwich. It’s a ton better than a fast food breakfast! Haven’t had a sandwich I didn’t like here.

Couldn’t be happier with the food and the service! Very friendly owner who took my order. Since it was me and my wife’s first time there he gave us a free soda. You cannot even compare subway to this place. The food is great and the subs are evenly made, meaning you don’t get one bite of just bread and another of the meat.
Overall a great place to go!
