What a great find! The Philly Deluxe Steak was delicious and I love how they cook it right there in front of you. We will definitely be coming back to try the teriyaki steak.

Great Philly cheese steak! My husband has had multiple items from their Asian section of the menu and he loved all of them! Good deal for the price! Went in after lunch lady that took out order was very nice and the food came out quickly. We took it to go, it’s very take out in a gas station feel, but clean and taste great! Our new go to take out spot!

You really have to search to find the Filipino section of the menu. It’s all cheesesteaks and burgers and subs and burritos and then, wayyyyy up in the upper right hand corner of the menu, is like 6 menu items that are Filipino. I got the lechon kawali. The rice was super dry, as though it’d been sitting in the fridge. The meat was great — at least half fat, extra greasy, and, with that vinegary brown dipping sauce, heavenly. I wish there had been vegetables of some sort to cut the grease, as the rice was really inedible. I’ll mention too that their veggie burrito was excellent. I didn’t order it, but I tasted it, and they used more ‘Asian-style’ vegetables and flavoring. My vegetarian companion reported it was a a pleasant change from the ones he usually has to order at the meaty places I drag him to.

The Korean BBQ is delicious! Tastes like homemade Filipino bistek, complete with grilled onions. I highly recommend this dish. Can’t wait to make my way back to Indio just to have it again. The Philly Cheesesteak was also yummy. Everything made fresh. Service was also friendly.

Food was fresh flavorful and unique. It is good especially for the price. Ordered the 3 cheese philly cheese steak with jalapeños, Korean BBQ, lumpias and finished with the halo-halo. The cheese steak had a lot of gooey cheese and fresh jalapeños. The Korean BBQ had was the best, with the caramelized meat and onions over rice, delicious. The lumpias were numerous and tasty. The highlight was trying the halo halo. It had sweet creamy purple ice cream with coconut pieces on the bottom that were like jellied bits. You mix it all together and it’s amazing, fun and like nothing I have had! Definitely recommend it.

Was browsing to find what we should have for a quick dinner as we were heading back home, something not far from the I-10. We decided that this joint would be our regular stop whenever we go to California or back. The cheesesteak(three cheese) was yummy and my spouse believed the cheesesteak was the best he ever had. The reason I am giving this 4 instead of 5, because they did not have brewed(never from a machine) iced tea, it is something I would like have whenever I pick up a meal. The sandwich was so, so awesome!

The place was dirty. the tables and the floor; the«Deluxe Philly sandwich» had no flavor. the cheese bad, the meat flavorless. obviously very cheaply purchased. This is truly one of the worst places in the desert. Clean up your place and use paper cups. not crap Styrofoam. which is not good for the planet. I think all of the reviews here are by friends of the owners. You get an F

This restaurant is the best place to eat. It doesn’t matter what time of day! My opinion this is the best Asian food here in Indio

Went here because there was sisig in the reviews — KAWAWABEAR … sadly it is no longer part of their menu. However, we got a few other items, including a cheesesteak(which is HUGE btw, we underestimated the size) and were just as satisfied. Who knew this little gem was tucked away in this mini-mall. Super friendly service — they chatted us up while we waited. Ample parking, and clean restroom. We’ll see you again next year!

Philly cheesesteaks and Filipino food in one joint? Not the kind of combo I would typically expect. I guess Philly & Filipino sound similar to each other. The bf and I went for the Filipino food so no review of the cheesesteaks here. Lechon — wayyyyy too fatty for our taste Tapsilog — seasoned well but too oily for my liking. The two fried eggs were definitely a plus for me. The slices cucumbers and tomatoes helped balanced the sweetness and saltiness of the meat. You’ll definitely get a great deal with the amount of food you receive, but I’m a girl of quality over quantity. I won’t be making my way to come back here again.

New Coachella food stop on the list! I try to avoid buying food at coachella because they seriously double the prices of simple food in there… and the quality is just plain horrible! So coming here is such a lifesaver! Philly Cheesesteak: The meat was juicy and the melted cheese on top is just perfect. Fries were also well-seasoned.what more can you ask for? Tapsilog: Beef with a fried egg and rice. Seriously SOGOOD. The beef has such great flavor! And then breaking the yolk of the egg over that rice… I’m drooling. Each meal about 7 – 10 bucks! Half the price you’d pay at Coachella!

This is definitely as good as it gets here in the entire coachella valley! I love this Alkobar in Indio! They’re super friendly, have more variety of Filipino dishes, n its consistently the bomb noms! My «go-to» is lechon kawali. I don’t always have an opportunity to get out that way… but that’s what I order when I do. Funny because I my order is so predictable, the dude will see me and know the lechon is mine! haha. I had seen the guy eating fried fish and I’m like, «you have that here???» he told me no, but if i wanted something like this, just call ahead and if he has time, he’ll make it! I think one of these days i’m gonna hit um for some pinakbet. Lumpia’s yum, longonisa is yum. haven’t tried the bangus. The halo-halo is good, though I really wish it was ube jam and not ube ice cream. guess i’m just used to the shaved ice ol’ school way. This is my go to place for Filipino food in the valley. Hands down. If you’re pinoy/pinay and missin that home cooked meal, this is the place to get it. :)

Wow I was so amazed to find good filipino food in Indio! I ordered the lechon kawali(under the Asian food menu) for $ 6.99 and it was deep fried goodness in my mouth. The lechon came with the«Mang Tomas» all purpose sauce, a generous scoop of rice, and cucumber & tomato slices on a plate. Jhay, the cashier, was very helpful and seemed to be the manager of this small establishment. It was located in a small shopping center with a filipino store conveniently across the way. The philly cheese steaks were literally the hot item being ordered by most customers. I think they should call it «Philly-pino» cheesesteaks because the cooks were all filipino in this filipino run business. I felt proud to be a filipina-american and see the diverse menu being appreciated by such a diverse crowd. I was tickled at the notion when customers would look at my plate and try to figure what I was eating, especially since we sat right by the entrance and got to see up close how the cooks would prepare our food. One star off for not having an accomodating seating area and not enough parking especially since it was busy on a Coachella weekend. Thanks Jhay and the other J’s for good food at a good price, good job!!!
