Super cute deli in Old Town Indio. I had the Sonoran Hot Dog(since it’s my birth state, lol) and it was delicious! The order came with fries, hardly touched them but they weren’t bad. It was warm but nice enough to sit outside. The girls at the counter were really nice and gave great customer service, however, I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars only because we waited a long time for our food considering the place wasn’t too busy and we ordered hot dogs. They WERE worth the wait but next time I’ll go when I’m not on my one hour lunch break or with limited time. Great place! Will definitely try again! they have a great selection of food for all tastes the best part was the location.

Overall good experience. Waitress forgot to bring out our salads, but owner noticed situation and brought them to us and apologized. Ordered«ribs/chicken/tri-tips» dinner for two. Generous portion and tasty… prices are reasonable. Will return.

Put succinctly and saliently: one great place. And love that it is in this part of Indio. This area needs places like this to survive. As for the food: my turkey was unbelievable… and love, love the bread. And my Dad got the pastrami and swore by it. As for the service: spot on perfection. Friendly, smiling, and full of alacrity. You can tell they care. Cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu items.

I worked with Elaine to cater a bachelorette party of over 20 women… all with different dietary needs. It was no small task! Elaine did an amazing job to make sure we had more than enough food for everyone and we still stayed in budget. Everyone could not stop commenting on how great the food was. The BBQ was fantastic and our Orzo salad and roasted potatoes were the first to get polished off. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them to cater your next event.

My wife and I had dinner there last week. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. But, they were also disorganized. Four times different wait staff tried to give us toasted bread. We had to tell each of them that we didn’t want any bread. It became an annoyance. My wife ordered a bowl of soup. Her meal came but no soup. She told the person who delivered the meal. He came back with a cup of soup. Our waitress gave us the soup for free. I had the ribs which were good. The slaw was mediocre and the beans were served in a miniscule bowl. I would like to see this restaurant succeed. I think they ought to invest in an outside consultant to help them get organized and run the restaurant efficiently.

A bit torn about this place. The tri tip sandwich we tried was amazing, done just right, with a great flavor. Pulled chicken, though juicy and tender, was mixed with sauce so sweet, that it was almost inedible. BBQ sauces can be pretty sugary, but that one… meh! The coleslaw had a bit too much mayo and fries were not cooked through. They could have used at least one more minute in the fryer. But. I should give them that: they were hand cut and freshly made.

Very friendly staff and good food. The place felt more like an upscale sandwich than a deli. We landed right after a large group(20+) and the staff was overwhelmed, but stayed positive and did a great job working through it. My wife had the Hot Pastrami, which she said was perfect. I had the specialty sandwich called the«Ham, Turkey, Bacon, Provolone» on French Roll. What it lacked in creative naming it had in portion. Again this place was slammed, but they did not cut corners building my sanwich. Loss of a star because the bread, slaw and potato-salad were just OK.

My experience really hit below my initial expection. I took my mom to lunch here today. She ordered the corned beef, which gave enough meat and was decent(although the meat is better at Manhattan of the Desert.) I, on the other hand, ordered the hot roast beef sandwich, which was nearly $ 12, and had such a tiny, measly amount of roast beef, I thought it was a joke! The female owner also walked around and greeted every single table except our table. Um, why would you exclude two paying customers? Very rude. I tend to support and eat at the same places over and over, so she could have had my business, but unfortunately due to your stingy portions, high prices, and rude behavior, I won’t be back. I hope your business survives.

Absolutely love this place!!! The bbq brisket and baby back ribs are to die for! I’ve also had the chicken piccata and one of the best I’ve ever had. This place is a hidden little gem but a must try.

This place is amazing, and I haven’t even actually had the chance to eat at the actual restaurant. My boss and I were looking for a new place to eat to have delivered to our office. I saw this place and thought I’d give it a try, and thankfully I did, cause it was out of this world! Amanda F. went above and beyond to accommodate us, considering we were half a mile out of their delivery area. When the food got here, my boss and I literally said«oh my god» cause it looked so good! The side salad for my sandwich was huge! I ordered the tri-tip and she had hot pastrami, and were extremely pleased with how great the food was. I can’t wait to actually try the food while actually eating at their restaurant, because I’m sure you will have to roll me out of there cause I’ll eat everything!

Saw an ad for Deli on Miles in the Desert Sun and decided I wanted to try it out. Two years or so later I decided to have lunch there. I ordered the Hot Pastrami sandwich, without coleslaw on the sandwich, but on the side. My wife said all I said during lunch was«wow» about 100 times. That was the best sandwich I can remember eating in my lifetime. The rye bread was soft and fresh. The pastrami wasn’t stringy or hard to chew. It was amazing. The coleslaw was out of this world. The Deli is on a street that must have been an old«Main Street» back in the day. Interesting to see.

Décor is nice, sandwiches good. Seems like the a/c is broken, door was wide open, too many flies. Half the time we were shushing away the flies from our food. Beer was good, nice & cold. Staff is nice. Food was brought to our table quickly.

This place is insanely slow. We have been waiting for 30 minutes just for a breakfast burrito and a plate of eggs, and our food still isn’t here. Don’t stop here unless you have at least an hour of your time to waste.

I’m torn about this review. Torn in an epic struggle between evil and mediocrity; my taste buds and sense of self decency doth struggle. Why the drama you ask? Well let me tell you about this second visit to Satan’s deli. First off, let’s talk about the décor. You might be saying I should have known better based on the décor. But you’d be wrong. How you’d be wrong… The décor is perfectly charming; brightly lit, loud colors, cool tables, and CLEAN! if the weather were cooler(and this part of Indio not so dead) their patio would be a true treasure. Alas, this only serves to be the vampire of restaurants. What? You’ve never heard that term? Probably because I just made it up just now. A vampire is a restaurant that is charming in appearance, and as it lures you in, it slowly drains your life force until you’re cold and dead, a lifeless husk of the sad sorry customer you once were. That is a vampire. Deli on Miles is a vampire. If only I knew… if only I knew as I sauntered up to order my patty melt,(and when the waitress didn’t understand me she proceeded to do a cruel patomine of my verble fumble; I almost left at that). So I glared, gave her the money and sat down on my table(apparently for anything but dinner they aren’t a real waitstaff, meaning you order at a counter). So I waited. And waited. People came in, ordered, sat, and got their food. And I waited. A delivery order came and was sent out. And still I waited. The fangs of this vampire sinking slower into my jugular, draining me even more. And still… I waited. 10, 15, 20 minutes passed… time slipped away, spiraling down the toilet drain that is Deli on Miles. «Sorry for the wait». I finally got my damn patty melt. My almost«knick knack patty melt give a dog NOBONE». I leaned in, praying a quick silent oblation of thanks to any god that’d listen, and took my first bite. Not bad. I tool another and another. It wasn’t that good. The more I ate the more I grew to despise that patty melt. Why is all the meat here taste sweet? Do they bath their cows in Splenda? The fries… how I loathe these fries. These are, without hyperbole, the worst fries in all of existence in this or any dimension. The Geneva convention banned giving these fries to POWs on account that it was considered too inhumane. They’re limp and burnt, devoid of less life than a funeral parlor. And less attractive. As a Catholic, I’m almost certain eating the few I did is some sort of indulgence for purgatory as I suffered here on earth. Will I go back? Only if I feel like my soul is in need of a deep spiritual cleansing the likes only a vampire like Deli on Miles can provide. Their bread is pretty good though.

Love the open atmosphere! Staff is super friendly and talkative. We got the black bean burger and it was delicious. Came with homemade French fries. We had tropical ice tea and it was so refreshing.

Waited 25 minutes for a burger and a hot dog, when the restaurant was nearly empty, without an apology or acknowledgement of any sort. Hot dog was drenched in mustard and mayo, bread was sopping wet by the time we got home. Burger, which I read here, is the bomb… was burnt. So I waited 25 minutes for a hot dog minus the bun and a dry, burnt burger.
