I rate it 3 stars, because every time I come I have to say the waitress are always slow, forgetful and aren’t very professional or well mannered… The restroom here is always dirty! Now about the sushi I can’t complain! No matter how dirty restrooms are, and how un mannered the waitress are I will keep coming back! I Love the passion roll

The service was very, very slow here. They had outside seating and did not seat us; they had us wait 15+ minutes and we could not leave. They did not offer to take our phone number to call us when or table was ready. There was no room to wait inside and it was hot outside. They were very slow to bring our waters. They did not refill them until we asked and were very slow at that also. The AYCE menu sucks. A lot of the rolls I wanted were not on the AYCE menu. I was not happy about it. Their appetizer selection on the the AYCE menu was small. Remember to ask for the AYCE menu specifically — it is separate sheet and was very flimsy and dirty. Also, $ 30 was too much for a limited AYCE. The one pro I have about this place was that the rolls we did taste were good. No complaints about the food. We liked the desert dots and the crunchy Philadelphia roll. I also liked the full sushi menu layout; it was easy to see which rolls were baked/fried or raw with the color coding system. However, I would not choose to return here. They need to hire more employees to meet the demand, especially during busy times — like the weekends.

I ate here around 4 – 5 pm on a Tues. as it was recommended… but OMgosh… I ordered 2 salmon & rice sushi & it was fake white fish colored & marbled to look like salmon, horrible that supposedly Japanese restaurant would think ppl are stupid to not know the difference! It’s insulting. I ordered tempura shrimp & tempura calamari, can’t go wrong with tempura… right? Wrong! Tiny sliver of shrimp with tons of «breading» crusted, thick & raw inside! No wonder they don’t include any rice with it. The calamari was ok but let me put it this way… I will not eat here EVER again! Try it but be forwarded. Some ppl eat anything when they don’t know good sushi… sorry but true…

As far as the freshness of the raw fish goes, it is excellent, one of the best in the valley. I’m not into deep fried foods or all of the fancy rolls and dishes but, the salmon sashimi, tuna and yellowtail sushi delish! The atmosphere, sometimes there’s music sometimes not. The TV’s are on all different channels. Service needs to step it up with taking the empty dishes away and especially, when I’m having dessert, I’m not a fan of smelling soy sauce and tempura while we’re eating ice cream.

Came in for lunch today with my husband, best friend and nephew. Heard their chavelas were good so we decided to stop and try their sushi. The sushi is ok at best. I took a bite into the Sushi pizza, I heard a loud crack and felt a sharp pain. I fished two shards of glass out of my mouth. My husband instantly called over the waitress. She apologized and took the plate. After waiting for about 15 minutes or so, the manager Isabel finally came over and was unapologetic. They did however remove the roll with the glass shard off of our bill. We will definitely never be coming back.

Great sushi and drinks. Sushi was very fresh and beautifully presented. The prices were very reasonable. We ordered a yellowtail roll which had a generous amount of fish inside, A crunchy Philadelphia roll which was absolutely delicious and a regular Dragon roll which was great but I should have paid for the dragon roll with tuna rather than the california roll as a personal preference. The dragon sangria’s were huge and delicious. I can’t wait to go back for more.

A couple of girlfriends and I met up on a Friday night at Dragon Sushi to enjoy some drinks and appetizers. The place was packed and had a great, lively vibe. There was a great mix of people, too. Instead of waiting in line for a table, we sat at the bar. It was comfortable and the itamae behind the sushi counter was pleasant. Our server, Karen Grajeda, was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. We had a few beers, sushi, and tempura, and the total price was reasonable. I’d definitely go back again and recommend this place for friends looking to enjoy a good time, as well as families looking for a fun dinner out.

So there have been many positive changes since my last review. I have been hesitant to update my review but after deciding to give them another chance and going there a few more times I have finally decided to do so. As I said before, I was hesitant to go back but a few friends shared their positive experiences and that motivated me to try the place again. Ever since I decided to go back, any time I have gone to eat there I have received great food and great customer service. My experience now is very different from my previous experience and I couldn’t be happier. This is now definitely a place to go(so much that my husband and I did a Valentine’s dinner here where the staff was very helpful in providing a very nice setting and also providing a very nice wine bottle service). Dragon sushi has improved very much and I am happy to review and give it 4 stars for all the great changes.

I came in on a busy holiday Saturday without reservations and was seated right away, at the sushi bar… Otherwise it would’ve been a 20 minute wait. Hostess was friendly and attentive. The sushi jedi behind the counter was nice and greeted us right away. The dishes for the night included: the Chicken Bowl, Yakitori, Sushi Pizza, and Red Mountain roll. Really enjoyed my surroundings as I waited. The décor is actually really nice inside making you forget you’re in a bustling little shopping center on basically the main and busiest street in the valley. There was anything from oldies but goodies to 80s playing overhead(think Beach Boys with some Human League). The tunes made it a fun experience. The Red Mountain rolls was my favorite. Tuna was thick cut and not too much rice. Only problem is that it seemed huge. The Sushi Pizza is good but not something I would get again… Not my thing I guess. If you’ve ever had Frankie’s Fresh Fish in Indio(before it sadly burned), then you might’ve tried the ‘Desert Dot,’ a bite of what I would compare to the chopped calamari topping on the Red Mountain roll: aka delicious. Note: Dragon does have a desert dot of their own that looks promising itself. Service, food, drinks, atmosphere: all good in my opinion. I used to think this was just a lunch spot but I really enjoyed it for dinner.

I hated their service. They made me wait 20 minutes until I just got up and left knowing the servers weren’t going to take my order. Didn’t even bother giving any water or ask if we want any drinks.

I absolutely love the Mango Tango and the Desert Dots. After destroying the rolls I order in the restaurant, I order additional Mango Tango rolls to take home for lunch the next day. There is only a small flaw in the additional roll logic… the rolls I bring home don’t usually survive the night… I end up slaughtering those a couple hours after I get home. Have to go back every few days to start the vicious cycle all over again.

Nigiri was way over riced, took 20 minutes to get a refill on my drink, and took an average of 15 – 25 minutes to get non-cooked items from the time of order. Was extremely dissatisfied with both the food and service.

Not their best performance tonight. None of the regular sushi guys are here and the sushi came out with too much oil, not spicy enough, no seeds… every roll just wasn’t finished like it usually is & it was disappointing. Used to love this place. Miso soup was cold… told waitress, I think she tried to microwave it. Lol. No thanks! It was still just warm & I don’t need to get food poisoning from soup that was cold and sitting around to begin with. We drive miles to get here since they closed the location in cat city… I don’t think we’ll bother aftert this trip. Seems to get worse each visit.

This is my to-go sushi place; because it’s close to home AND because it is very good! I am a fan of traditional, fresh, simple sushi. I’ve had their Philadelphia Rolls and their Rainbow Rolls and both have been very delicious! Unrelated to sushi, I also love chavelas, and to my surprise, Dragon Sushi makes some of the best chavelas I’ve had around here! Whether you come here for the sushi, chavelas, or both, you can’t go wrong with Dragon Sushi.

Took my parents to lunch, since we wanted to try this place. I ordered the spicy chicken plate. My parents ordered the teriyaki chicken plate and beef bowl with vegetables. We got our miso soup and salad at the same time. After we finished our soup and salad. My parents got their food. The teriyaki chicken was ok, not marinated, looks like the sauce was poured on top. My parents said that the teriyaki sauce was too sweet. While my parents was finishing their food and Iwas still waiting for my food. I asked the waitress, how much longer, she looked like she had an attitude because of her body language. Finally my food came. The spicy chicken plate was ok, it had a sweet and spicy taste. Service was real poor, not even asking if we needed our water filled. Never will return to this place, if you want teriyaki, go to Flame Broiler down the street or to Waba Grill, near by.

I was really impressed with the venue, because you are in the heart of downtown Indio, which is less than appetizing to be in already, but then you walk into this restaurant and you forget that you are in Indio, super clean and nice set up. All the rolls seem like California rolls with NO avocado and just a different piece of fish on top, so they are pretty much all the same. The all you can eat doesn’t have much variety when in comes to the rolls, again, they are pretty much all the same in content. The prices isn’t cheap either. I am glad there is somewhere to go in Indio during my lunch hour in case I do want to grab a sushi roll for lunch.

So to start this review I went there for lunch with my 3 year old daughter and sister in law. So our bill was was just for two people. I decided to order a cucumber salad, spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll and chicken teriyaki bowl for my daughter. And two ice teas. Doesn’t seem like much correct? And the prices should be reasonable for lunch as well right? Yeah, not so much. Will get down to that later down the review. As for the food. I will say that at best it is commercial for your average person whom likes sushi, but doesn’t truly appreciate the art of sushi. The spicy tuna roll was just not spicy at all and a bit bland. Thank God for Soy sauce. Because that was the only saving grace to the roll. If you’re going to mark your rolls with a chile indicating its spice, then make sure that it lives up to it. Also, not a fan paying $ 7 bucks for a simple roll. The Rainbow roll my favorite roll of all. You cannot go wrong with the deliciousness of the simplicity. And here, it was simply lacking the fresh taste and flavor that makes a Rainbow Roll. Over all if you’re trying to try out sushi for the first time or are a beginner then yes, this might be the place for you, but I would rather go elsewhere to spend my money and get a better experience.

What a hidden gem in Indio . This place is heavenly for sushi lovers . With a big variety to choose from. We have been here quite a few times now and are always pleased with such great service! !!! Also staff was very knowledgeable as well as helpful in helping me choose something for my four year old with an egg allergy to eat. This will always be our go to place for sushi from here on out.
