Dollar General Store

As Dollar General’s go, this one is just OK. The store is well stocked, but tends to be a bit on the cluttered side and could use some updating. The cashiers are usually friendly and get people moved through in a timely manner. All in all, just your run of the mill store.

So, I just moved back to Birmingham from New York a week ago. I thought I was super excited to have Walmart back in my regular life, but what I really missed was Dollar General.
Walmart is good for a long list of items that include groceries, but Dollar General can’t be beat for price and convenience for a few items. I was on my way to Walmart to get some storage bins and felt hangers (yes, I am particular about my clothes hangers). Well, we whipped into DG and not only did they have the plastic closable storage bins for $ 6, they also had 2 pack felt hangers on sale for $ 0.60! Usually five of these bad boys will cost you like $ 3. I think I was in and out in 15 minutes. I would have still been waiting in line at Walmart.
Oh…if you are looking for those felt hangers you shouldn’t go this one, because I bought all of the ones they had in stock.
