If you love turkey sandwiches with stuffing then come on down! Seriously all the sandwiches are awesome here. They bake the turkey and beef daily. Way better than the usual fare. Try Capriottis, you will not be disappointed. However, they were out of meatballs and the service was just OK… Maybe thats why they went under. Tough business.

Subs away… haha. Good place. We had the Bobbie 9 inch. Talk about Thanksgiving in Sept. It was a yummy mix all the fixings with shredded turkey. We started reminiscing about childhood memmories. Thanks! I’d order it again and try something else. Enjoy.

We have visited this particular location twice. Once to go for next day lunch and another time we ate the sandwiches fresh at the shop. There’s definitely a difference in eating it there as it fresh out from preparing than overnight. My husband and I enjoyed their Italian sandwiches. Their weekday hours are shorter than weekend hours. We came on week nights and it was a bit empty but there were people come in and out of the shop. The staff were friendly and nice to let us dine in despite the fact that my husband was the only one getting their sandwich and salad while I got Natraj Tandoori 2-items combo and my daughter got her Panda Express teriyaki chicken bowl.

ZERO stars for this joint if we can help it. We got here at 7.20pm wanting to have their famous capistrami sandwich. Guess what? They say: sorry! our grill is already closed for the day. We say: what time do u close? They say: 8pm. We say: it’s only 7.20! They say: errrr… we stop our grill at 7.45. We say: it’s only 7.20! They say: Sorry! Can u order something else? We say: SERIOUSLY?!! I guess you’re not needing business then if you want to close your grill 40 minutes before your published closing time. In case this capriottis owner is reading this Unilocal,u might want to know your staff is jibbing you out of your bottom line and will turn away paying customers who want their dinner hot.

Great portions Friendly staff Roomy inside A bit pricey but worth it! Delicious! My only gripe is the sandwich choices… wish they had a few more options Cute convenient location(by several other restaurants in outdoor mall plaza)…and water fountain…

We had coupons from Irvine Company for buy one get one free. When we tried to use the coupon they would not honor it. Reason? They claimed they had too many forged coupons so now will not honor ANY coupons. Ours is clearly legitimate as its printed on glossy heavy paper. I’m not sure what these previous«forged» coupons they had accepted looked like but maybe instead of punishing customers who had real coupons they should train their workers to vet out the bad ones. I can’t imagine the fake ones to be as printed on as high quality paper as the real ones, I mean come on, who would go to that much trouble? On top of the above insult when I finally tried the sandwich we paid full price for it was not even good. Bread tasted stale, meat and filling was bland, I’ve had better at Subway for half the price. Bad experience and bad taste. Will definitely not be coming back even if they take coupons.

Is time visiting. Wow. Disappointing. Dinning room was filthy. Hardly any stock of chips. We placed our order, 9″ Italian, 9″ cheese steak. Sat down to relax. Watched as 3 people who had already received there food before us returned because of problems with their order. Cheesesteak: meat to bun ratio is sad. The amount of steak in the sandwich was not even equal to what other cheesesteak establishments have in half of there sandwich. However flavor was very good and roll was super fresh. Italian Cold Sub: asked for No Tamatos but still ended up with them even though receipt clearly showed No Tamatos. My wife did like her sandwich overall. Quality meat and fresh roll. Final Note: 3 of 5 people who ordered after me returned to counter with problems with order. I will not return

I love that Thanksgiving sandwich. Turkey, stuffing, some other goodness. It’s a really tasty sandwich and it’s a big portion. You can choose different sizes if you please. Also tried the Capastrami here which was pretty good, but I enjoy this better elsewhere. I would do the Thanksgiving one again in a heartbeat. Service is ok, cashier was ok, not super helpful but did the job. The person cooking seemed nice. Food takes a little bit on the hot sandwiches because they’re doing some cooking. But that was ok, it was empty when I came here. I’ve seen other reviews where people had horrible service issues, I guess I got lucky. I’ll go back and see how it goes. For my first time, I really enjoyed the sandwich and didn’t have any issues with the staff.

I’ve only had Capriotti’s once before(Newport Beach location) and remember not being that impressed with their cold Italian sub… This time around, I tried their Capastrami and the Slaw Be Joe. The Capastrami was pretty good. They could stand to pump the breaks on the coleslaw a little bit; you have to take some of the mounds of slaw out just so you can taste the sandwich meat. But generally, pastrami is pretty hard to screw up. One would think the same would apply to roast beef aka the Slaw Be Joe. WRONG. This sandwich was awful. Their«roast beef» is a pulled version. And it doesn’t work. It tasted like a cross between beef jerky & freeze dried beef that had water added to it. All the slaw on this sub couldn’t save it. Service was kind of slow. I think we waited about 10 minutes for our food. There was only one sandwich artist(haha). I’m in no hurry to return. If I want a pastrami sandwich, I’m more likely to go to the Bronx. Sorry Capriotti’s…

Where do I start? I wanted to try this place for a while. Worst sandwich ever. I ordered the homemade turkey sub and it was dryer than dry. They also did not put any mayo or mustard on it despite asking for ‘everything’. I guess I wrongly assumed ‘everything’ included these. If there was even any oil on it, I couldn’t tell. So, to recap: dry turkey and dry everything. Dry, dry, dry. Oh, and I was lucky enough to find not one but TWO good sized bones in my sandwich. How cool is that?

Three star sandwich, 1 star service. I’m willing to be flexible on food reviews to a point as I know everyone has different tastes. But I am unflinching on service. I walked in the other day, having never been to Cappriotti’s before. There were two customers sitting eating and two that had placed an order and we’re waiting for their food. A good three minutes passed with me looking at the menu board and zero recognition from the staff. I finally asked one of the girls if I could place an order. She says,“oh, you want to place an order?” WTF?! Isn’t that what I just said? I should have turned around and bounced, Instead, I ordered what turned out to be a mediocre roast beef sandwich with an extraordinary price. $ 11 and change for a sandwich, chips and drink. While I was waiting for my order, I had the opportunity to witness the poor behavior that several other reviewers noted. Personal conversations, unprofessional language and a clear indication they would rather be doing anything else anywhere else. Clearly some reviewers enjoy this place. Maybe my experience is so negative due to an unsupervised young staff or maybe they don’t care about service. I find it very odd that this chain doesn’t respond to review postings, at least to the negative ones. I for one will not be back.

One Star only because I cannot give ZERO stars. I just walked out of a completely ineptly run store. I am fairly patient when it comes to restaurants and the making of food, especially a fast food type of establishment. However, when five people arrive after me and all get their orders my patients quickly turns to displeasure. It was so awful I walked out, please keep my 10 bucks, I think you need it more than I do based on the service I was just provide. I see a few other reviews based on service alone, and it seems they are not listening, because today was no exception, 5 stars of awful service they will give you. I cannot even tell you what the Italian sandwich I ordered taste like because I had to walk out, no more time did I have to work out my order with the employees, I just bailed. I have had the bobbi before, at this store, was okay for me. But in all fairness I cannot review the food. However, the poor service provided would overshadow the tastiest food ever served. My advice, go anywhere else.

The Bobbie is the best sandwich. I wouldn’t recommend anything else. I had the roast beef sandwich with coleslaw on it. It was super dry. I couldn’t even finish it. The meat was pulled. Didn’t like it. Go with The Bobbie. 3 stars

This was an absolute awful experience. My order was incorrect. I didn’t get my free cookie from my Unilocal check-in. The cashier needs to learn the menu. They gave me a hot Italian when I ordered a cold. They did not even have my ingredients correct. They tried to offer me a free sub, but I was in a rush to leave. Plus I was very passed off. Absolutely horrendous experience for my first time. They really need to properly train their employees. I asked what’s in the Italian. I wanted to know what are the meats used in the sandwich. The employee did not know. How do you not know what is in your sandwich? Come on now. Under the section cold subs, I said I want the Italian. I even said underneath the homemade roast beef & homemade turkey. And they I told the cashier the exact ingredients I wanted. I went outside to hang out at a table with my friend for a couple minutes. I come back inside and my sandwich is still not ready and they are working on the customer’s sandwich behind me in line. I ask where my sandwich is and they are finishing a hot Italian(not what I ordered). They gave me the wrong sandwich, no cookie, and not even the ingredients were correct. Two of the guys tried to offer me a free sandwich, but I was too heated and grabbed the hot Italian and walked out.

This is a great Capriotti’s location. We always order a specialty sandwich: the Veggie Chicken Cheese Steak«Bobbie Style.» Basically their Veggie Chicken Cheese Steak with cranberry sauce and stuffing(both served hot). It is one, BOMB sandwich. We also regularly order the Veggie Cole Turkey sandwich which is another winner. Their meat substitute products are fantastic; full of flavor and not dry like many other meat substitutes. The staff here is super friendly and ready to accommodate special requests. Also, specific to this location, the owner will sell the individual ingredients upon request. You can even buy an entire roasted turkey! The desserts here deserve special note, as often the desserts at sandwich shops are generic, pre-packaged offerings. I’m not sure where they get their cookies and brownies, but they are moist and delicious! Your first check-in will get you a free dessert so give one a try!

Love the cheese steak sub. Grilled just right! Mmmmm. Added spicy peppers… Huge recommendation. That’s the best add on. Plus I got a free cookie thanks to Unilocal check in! Wohhooo score. Yummy cookie by the way

Had the grilled cheese sandwich here. Tasted fresh and warm and the melted cheese was spot on. Really tasted like grilled cheese and not some artificial stuff like in some other places. Kinda took a long time to make the sandwich. Service was friendly and the place seemed pretty empty. Clean. After I ate it, I was really thirsty. I guess they really pack on the sodium, so watch out for that.

All I will say is, this place is better than that one infamous sandwich place in DT Disney. Ya’ll know which one I’m referring to. Ordered: Chicken Cheese Steak 4.0 stars Grilled Italian 3.5÷4 stars The chix cheese steak was awesome. The chix was tender and was flavorful, the yellow and red bell peppers added good coloring as well as moistness to the sandwich. And of course the cheese brings everything together The Grilled Italian sandwich was loaded with meat such as salame, black forest ham, regular ham, and something else. In fact, there was so much meat that I was a little grossed out by the saltiness of it. But hey, why would I complain about the plethora of meat? I love the bread on both of these guys. I’m a fan of the softer breads instead of the super crunchy breads that cuts the roof of your mouth. Why I prefer these guys to THOSE guys: –The sandwiches actually make me full! 4.0 Stars –The price is right! 4.0 stars –The sandwiches are delish! 4.0 stars! Thanks Capriotti for showing me what a CROCK the other guys are! Muy Bueno stamp!

This place is definitely one of the better sandwich options around. We had sampled The Bobbie during a mass Unilocal event last year and I was pleasantly surprised. Normally I am not a big fan of cranberry sauce an places usually add too much, but the one here was yummy. Real shredded turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo. I definitely liked it but had never made it around to visiting. I ended up getting a Groupon for this place which gave me three $ 10 Groupons for $ 15. So, we have made three trips since. The first time I got The Bobbie as a whole sandwich and my husband had the Italian. He seemed to really enjoy his as well as I did. My only complaint was that the business was a bit slow despite only one group being ahead of us. I enjoyed that all the ingredients were tender and fresh, as some other sandwich shops don’t have a fresh taste. Next round I went with the Homemade Meatball and my husband had the Chicken Cheesesteak. The meatball sandwich was delicious, but extremely messy! I know more people prefer messy food, but I did enjoy it regardless. My husband added hot peppers to his sandwich but remarked about how greasy it was. He gets heart burn with certain foods and this was one of them. Service seemed slow again. I went back the other day to use my last Groupon. I had the Homemade Turkey and he ordered the Italian again. We decided to split them so that we could enjoy two different ones. I really enjoyed both! I love that they use real shredded turkey and not that sliced deli meat that other places use! The Italian had a ton of flavor as well. Sandwiches cost more here, the small will run you about $ 8, but their small is 9 inches, the medium is 12 inches, and then they have a large too! I will definitely be back for more.

My wife recently found a Groupon deal for Capriottis and quickly snatched it up. We have since made two visits to the Irvine locations and both times we have had no complaints with the quality of food they have put out. The Irvine Capriottis is located off Jamboree Road in the Irvine/Tustin Markeptplace Food Court section near G Burger. The location can be a bit hard to find at first but does get a lot of foot traffic throughout the day which is always a good thing. In both of our trips they havent been overly busy but we have always been here between 3:15 — 4:00 which is a bit late for lunch and bit too early for dinner. The layout of the restaurant is nice with the space available and the digital screens showing the cooking of the meats is a nice touch. For our first visit I decided to go with the medium sized Italian sandwich with crushed red pepper and was very impressed with the quality and freshness of the meats as well as the bread itself. The meats were well done, very flavorful and the crushed red pepper was a great compliment to the sandwich. The bread they use seems to be of a good quality as well and much better than other sandwich places I have been too. I would definitely get this sandwich again. For our second trip I decided to try the Chicke Cheesesteak sandwich with hot peppers. The sandwich was well put together, the peppers definitely gave off good heat and the flavors were great. Although the sandwich was great, I got hit by a serious case of heartburn about halfway through and thus decided to take the 2nd half home with me. I later reheated this and it was still good. Although I liked this sandwich, I did tend to prefer the fresh taste of the Italian more although this was still quality and I would definitely eat this again. I am sure it will not be too long before we are back again and I already have my eyes set on the homemade meatball sandwich. My wife had this on our second trip here and it looked extremely messy but also very good and she seemed to enjoy it. I can honestly say that Capriotts puts out a great product. The service has always been friendly, the pricing is good and the sandwiches are top notch. My only issue is the length of time it takes to get your food once you’ve ordered. The sandwiches seem to take far too long to come out and I often see multiple workers behind the counter and only one making the actual food order. If they can improve in this area I would definitely be more inclined to give them a 5 but until that happens my review will remain a high 4 star.
