They were slammed at lunch today. The girl operating the drive thru was very sweet. However, my burger is COLD. I don’t feel like waiting in line again. Sad day.

We had to wait for 17 min in the drive through. We asked if there was a problem but there wasn’t they just have only one cook.

This specific Carl’s Jr. is in a plaza that lacks parking during the weekdays, but I came during a weekend, so I avoided all of that. There was no one here at all and from the looks of it, there was a staff member sitting around playing video games. But at least it went quickly. They accepted my coupon with no hassle. It tasted fine. Outside the building there are three terminals for electric vehicles.

What can I say, a Six Dollar Western Bacon Burger is a guilty pleasure of mine. Standard Carls’ Jr. fare. Nothing really special. They get slammed at lunch like every place else in Irvine but the crew keeps moving and you get your food hot.

I stop at this Carl’s J about once per week either for a quick breakfast or lunch. The staff is friendly and service is pretty fast in the drive thru. The inside is clean and they bring your dine in order to your table. A touch above McDs, Wendy’s and JITB. The new menu items are the grilled cheese breakfast sandwich and the all natural burger. Both taste good! Overall, a four star fast food place.

Service is worse. Staff are less efficient(i.e slower) and less pleasant to deal with. Avoid if possible.

Carl’s should be a pretty well-known option in the junk food restaurant world. There may be differentiation from one location to the next but in general fast food chains worship consistency. Their burgers tend to be bigger, juicier and larger than most of their competition as well as more expensive but no one would mistake this for gourmet dining. One thing to note is that many of the locations in the OC and DTLB area do not have drive thru windows and the turn around on orders is a bit slower than similar chains. I rate Carl’s higher in the pecking order than In and Out but they have different approaches and it is a little like comparing apples to oranges.

The worst! Drive thru for breakfast. Slowest I have ever seen, then they completely get the order wrong. Big waste of time. Terrible.

Ordered a Philly cheesesteak burger. They used sesame buns instead of what they advertised. Tasted like cheap hamburgers. Stick with In N Out.

DONOT eat at this Carl’s Jr! Food Poisioning Alert!!! I should have figured out that it was not a safe place to eat when there were no customers there. But I ate a hamburger… I have never been so sick in my life! I had to take 3 days off from work! I would rather eat from a taco cart in Tiajuana than eat anything from this Carl’s Jr! BEWARE

If I could put zero stars I would, decided to come here for a Jalapeño Burger but they failed to put a hamburger patty on it. I mean WOW how do you fail at that? Is it that hard? Save your money and go somewhere else where burgers are cheaper and actually taste better. I feel like this location always lets me down Oh well, lesson learned.

Sorry but it looks like two reviews from me in a row. Actually this is something on going but I’ve never mentioned it. This location(Irvine Center Drive) rarely gets orders right. Gas is too expensive to constantly be running orders back to have them corrected, so in turn your customers settle for what they get.

Real simple… don’t go here. I have been there three times this week, having to return each time to correct the order and they have fallen miserably short on service in the drive through. The drive through box does not work so they tell you on a note that the price is wrong, they refused to give me my reciept when I asked for it. The drive through lady could not decide what to charge me and I know I was duped because I had her clarify the total at the box as one amount which she then proceeded to tell me a totally different price at the window that was two dollars greater than what I was told. The food was ok nothing bad nothing good. In all if you must have Carl’s there is a far better store across the freeway on Technology but the service in the Restaurant at ICD is only ok at best when dining in. Do not be surprised when they get the order wrong and over charge you.

This is a Carl’s Jr. that has a green burrito. That’s a plus. Other than that it’s your standard place. I will say, they always get the order right, and it never takes very long, even in lunch hour gridlock.

I’ve been to this Carl’s Jr. several times and I’ve always experienced a delay of some sort at this establishment. It does get a lot of business for it’s location, however, the establishment tends to do this«wait out front» when you pull up in the drive through. I promised myself that I wouldn’t put up with this the next time I rolled by. Today, this morning, I get to the drive through and no one was behind me. I was asked if I want to try their new biscuit breakfast sandwich. I said«sure, why not and a soda please…» and they hand me the soda and ask me to wait out front because they were making the biscuits(SIGH)… Still no one behind me, so I passive aggressively plot my negative review on Unilocal(yah, I’ve turned into that dude…) and I didn’t see anyone go through the drive through when I rolled around the front either. Mind you, it’s the morning(you know, before people have a tendency to go to work :), and I wait for approximately 6 minutes!!! I normally wait 6 minutes in the drive through total, not 4 minutes then 6… I went back in and asked for a refund and headed over to Starbucks. 3 minutes in queue, 30 seconds waiting for a breakfast sandwich, and a super friendly attendant asking me about where I work. Totally worth going to Starbucks… Here’s what kills me about Carl’s… you know the biscuits aren’t made… Why offer it to me when I’m rolling up through the drive through?

Buh. This place is like a life saver for those who have late night classes over at IVC… Open late and they make your food when you order it… Unlike the 24 hour McD on Alton… Oh, coupons are awesome too, especially w/a college student budget.
