Everything was good but don’t order the shakes, they don’t put enough of the flavoring in them. They all taste like a vanilla shake with a tad of flavor. Needs improvement!

We had the char #2 and the Santa Barbara Style which was Double Char with Cheese & Avocado on Grilled Sourdough. Both were good. The beef patty was thick and had a smokey flavor. There were ketsup, steak sauce, chili sauces and pickled chili available at the condiment station. The fries were fresh and hot to touch.

I’m a die hard fan of the Habit! I’ve never cared for In-N-Out so I don’t even compare the two burger places! Habit is gold to me! I also go to the Barranca location since they have a drive thru which is a big bonus when you don’t want to deal with the CF crowd which is how I feel majority of the time! Staff is friendly, my order was correct, tasted like crack and I was a happy camper! You can’t go wrong with a solid cheeseburger, fries, and their tempura fried green beans! I could eat two of those! Especially with their ranch dressing! I did notice that they don’t fill up the ranch all the way, they kind of skimp on it big time :( I’m a big fan of a good charbroiled cheeseburger so for me this is a win win. I’m super sad we don’t have one where I live and I’m having a hard time dealing with that! Whenever I come to visit my sister I have to stop at The Habit and get my fix! ^__^

I really like the Habit’s burgers and have been to many locations, but I was so disappointed with my order at this location. I ordered a mushroom swiss charburger and another burger to-go. After I got home, when I took a bite of the mushroom burger, I couldn’t taste any meat. I opened it up to find half of meat patty was missing! It looked like it got cut in half and they only put on one half:(I was also sad that they only put 4 pieces of mushrooms on the burger too:(It was too late to tell the staff, because I got my order to-go and was already home. Too bad, because the customer service/cashier was good/friendly. Check your burgers before you eat it/leave so it doesn’t happen to you!

This is the place for best quality burgers in its price range. Love the mushroom char burger. Patties are not so skimpy like some of the other fast food burger places and it’s made to order. Onion rings are awesome too.

This was not my first visit to a Habit Burger but I gotta say the more I come the more I like it. Habit Bruger has a menu somewhere in between the basic In N Out and those custom fancy put everything and anything on your burger joints. Pretty sweet spot too I’d say. I had the Santa Barbara style double char for the first time and having a sourdough burger with avocado really wins points with the Californian in me. Pretty good. The habit is defintely forming!

Gotta say, pretty darn good burger! All the food I have had here has been fresh, hot, tasty. Servers are very nice always! Not sure the comparisons with In ‘n Out, more $$ for same meal, no drive through, nicer interior. Good food, fair prices! Onion rings are great!

Love the food and service here. My favorite is the green bean fries. Price is also very resonable for good burgers.

Love this spot. Quickly made and burgers/sandwiches taste great. The salads are good as well. Inside plus outside seating. Im sure the parking bugs most people but seriously its like an extra 20 ft you have to walk lol. You’ll need it because your gonna wanna eat a lot. Another thing they got a single restroom, but again not a big deal to me, i don’t have kids lol. Anyways the place is clean, foods delicious, and plus the ladies are great with customers haha. Enjoy folks

Love their burger and fries. You can actually taste the meat and its thick enough that I don’t need to order a double double to satisfy my meat craving. Also I order it with mushroom and avocado just the way I like it. Their fries are thick and has the right amount of crunch. As I eat my to go order I keep wondering why I keep coming back to this joint. While not very expensive its not the cheapest. You can customize more toppings than In n Out but its not like gourmet burger. I guess what makes me come back here more than other places is first consistency. I know what I am going to get and thats a good things when I get the craving for a burger. And the other thing is the Customer Service and ambiance. No matter how I am dressed whether just coming back from a work or just in the shorts they always Greet you. Ive been here often enough that Ive gone through most of their cashiers and they all have the up beat kind of attitude thats great when you had a bad day. The place is always clean and inviting. When I had accidentally spilled katchup on floor, the staffer explain that it wasn’t a problem and promptly cleaned it up, all with positive attitude. This place is great for family to meet up and have a dinner out experience. I’ll recommend you should try their ice tea selection. Only thing I wish is that they stop chopping up the banana peppers. Originally when they first open they serve them whole but now they served them all chopped up.

I remember back in the day when this building used to be a Burger King, so I decided to check out what replaced it. At this location, one orders from the front counter and receives a pager that will signal when it is done. There are a lot of booths here and patio seating, and a few tables in the middle of the aisles if one doesn’t mind being stared at. It tasted good, although it was served on a plastic plate. If one orders the less expensive items one can eat on a budget. It took some time to cook. The lemonade was tasty but rather sweet.

Charburger — classic burger Santa Barbara Char — Sourdough, 2 patties, pickles, cheese, avocado, a bunch of good stuff. Also a good size. That is relative to In N Out, these are bigger. BBQ Bacon Char — My 8 year old son loves this burger. Always gets it. Chicken Club — Chicken with bbq and avocado Tempura green beans — I really want to like these but 3 out of 4 times there was too much salt on them. They were caked on so it was hard to brush off. The 1 time there wasn’t a huge layer of salt everybody ate them up. But whenever there is too much salt nobody wants to eat them. Fries — I really don’t know what to say about them. They don’t really stand out.(Note to self: you don’t like them, don’t get them again.) Service: I’ve been here about 5 times and I’ve also called in an order. The staff has always been friendly and polite. Phone order: You must pay with credit card in advance. You can’t place an order and pay when you come to pick up. So you can’t use cash on a phone order. Also they won’t start making your food until you show up so there isn’t a huge time savings. They say they want to keep it fresh so probably not the best of you are in a hurry. Personal Taste: I’m personally not a fan of charred/blackened stuff anymore. Maybe it’s just my personal fear of cancer but because of this the Habit isn’t my favorite place to go. There is usually a really strong smell of the grilling and you can smell the«char». For what this place is it is pretty good. Just not my cup of tea. I only knocked it one star because they didn’t actually start cooking my food when I called in once and asked them to start it because I was in the parking lot. They said«ok» they would start it so I went to the bank next store to make a deposit. When I came to get my food I heard them tell the guys in the back to start on my order. SMH, not happy about that. I would’ve gone into the Habit first if they didn’t tell me they would start my order over the phone. I had to wait even longer.

Food was excellent. We kept it simple we had the burgers. I had grilled onions on mine and was glad I did. Have come back and try the fries

Totally solid burger experience! I have never been a fan of In and Out the way everyone else is nor am I a fan of the gourmet burger trend that is currently all the rage. The Habit does a great job of making a classic burger that hits the spot and tastes super fresh and good. All of The Habits I have been to have stellar customer service and good food. The classic charburger with cheese is my go to and their crispy fries are the best! The tempura fried string beans are also a must have :)

This is an establishment you visit when you want to grow another belt size, because when done properly it’s one of the best burger joints around. Skip the single patty, make it a double regardless of what you order because they know how to make burgers here. If it’s a single patty you’re going to miss out on the combination of toppings, because they’re fresh and can overpower the meat. The side orders are also done well, and for some reason I actually enjoy the fries over everything else. It’s not because they taste bad, but the fries are done well here. I still recommend other side orders, but a burger and fries just works better and the rest is just to say you tried them. The only flaw on the menu are the drinks, not to be mistaken for the shakes, if you want that with your order you’re golden. This place has some greasy burgers and side orders, but for some reason they have strange drinks. None of these drinks compliment the actual burger and side orders remotely, they’re stupid vitamin stuff. I highly recommend picking your side of the cola wars, get yourself that double burger of your choice with your favorite side and wash it down with a real beverage. I’m cheating the system by telling you to do this, normally people complain and lower the star rating on Unilocal but go grab your drink of choice and enjoy a real burger. My rating stands, otherwise everyone should complain about the terrible parking and service because if it improves I’m eating here more frequently.

Service is always great, and they make your order very fast here! My personal favorites are the Teriyaki Char and Santa Barbara Style. The Teriyaki has pineapple inside, and it goes really well with the sweet sauce. The Santa Barbara Style is more hefty, and contains two patties plus avocado squished between veggies and sourdough bread. It’s so huge that it’s cut in half, so you definitely get more than what you pay for. I recommend sharing the Santa Barbara Style with another friend! The store is very clean as well, probably because this place is still new. I’ve noticed that it gets really crowded here on weekends and especially during the night!

I’ve been here twice before. The first time was actually my first time ever at The Habit. I love their burgers– their charburgers are made pretty well. The service here is done pretty quickly, and takes 3 – 10 minutes to make. The charburger? The simple meat patty, tomato, lettuce, and cheese. You can choose to add some other things or take some of the things out. Their onion rings? oh gosh. They were tasty. I only had one, but I knew if I had ordered a side of onion rings, I definitely would not have finished them. Cheap prices as well! :D Ugh. Now I want to get myself another charburger…

I have a new appreciation for the Habit. They aren’t the cheapest, a burger combo is $ 7. But compared to Burntzilla they sure are! Not only are they tastier, they taste fresh. Think of it as gourmet fast food. I can’t recommend this enough. Go here got $ 7 or go across the street for two sliders, factory made tater tots and pay $ 10!

The Habit is one of my favorite fast food burger joints around. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of In N Out because I don’t prefer thousand island on my burgers. So when I’m craving a well made burger that won’t cost me more than $ 10, this is the spot. The Charburger is my idea of how a normal burger should be. Cooked to order with nothing but mayo, cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, and grilled onions. No need for some fancy aioli, chipotle ketchup or truffle oil. I like the option of having sweet potato fries and the onion rings are always solid. My favorite thing about this place tho is the condiment bar, filled with banana peppers, jalapenos, and pepperoncinis. I’m a big fan of banana peppers so it’s nice to be able to help yourself without having to ask for a whole bunch like a crazy person. Sure it’s just a fast food joint and the food can’t be healthy for you, but when it comes to having a good old-fashioned cheeseburger, these guys deliver everything that I want. I am a simple man, and this is definitely my kind of burger.

I just had my usual double char w/cheese and bacon + fries and onion rings… and I got oozy and sick. Food poisoning — I’m sure it had to be from my burger. I’m not sure if it was from the staff or what but I had a 24hr case of the stomach bug. I wont be able to eat another burger for a long time… Can’t imagine what it was from — STAFF, PLEASEWASHYOURHANDS!!!
