I’ve purchased 3 pairs of lace-up shoes here. There seems to be a wide variation in quality between different models of Vans shoes. Some slide of your feet easily and offer no arch support or padding. Some fit well with arch support and comfort. I don’t see the point in selling the inferior pairs of shoes for $ 5 less because it taints the entire brand.

Went with a friend before seeing a movie. Their sweatpants are great for us short people. LOL. The employee was very helpful when we were trying to find a specific pair if sweatpants.

Typical Vans store, but the service was lacking. I had to exchange shoes I had purchased for my daughter, though the process was quick and easy the customer rep was lifeless and the manager didn’t even look up from his papers when I asked if I could get some help exchanging the shoes I had. Grrrr…

I have to admit… I hate buying shoes for my kids. just expensive. but I remember when I was a kid. VANS were the bomb. now. to make my day better. the staff worked with my son perfectly… suggesting new styles. trying on more and more sizes to get the right feel. the customer service took away the 50 dollar price tag sting.

There were 2 reviews ahead of mine from 2007 and late 2010. I guess I should’ve waited a couple of years to write this review, but I’m not on Filipino time, so here it goes… Since the Tustin location did not have my HK Vans in my size in stock, I figured the Spectrum location would have it. Again, I walked in, feeling weary. I’m an Asian, 30-something couch jockey walking into a shoe store for which my said background doesn’t seem to be a match. I make a bee line straight to the back that is filled with young boys and girls. Awesome!(*Sarcasm*) Before I do my best rendition of Maculay Culkin’s famous bathroom scene from Home Alone, I ask the girl to get me the HK Vans in my size — and make it snappy before I break out into hives.(Okay — I didn’t tell her those things, but I wanted to.). She came back out not with just the size I asked for, but with the next size up. Pretty frickin’ Unilocaltastic! I try on the size I asked for, and felt like Cinderella putting on the glass slipper(I still say it’s a fancy high heel and I DOUBT it was made out of glass). Perfect fit! Packed up the box and wrapper and headed to the checkout. On top of getting my HKs, I also got: 1) Insulated Vans lunchbag(oooh… aaahhh!) and 2) Coupon for $ 20 off my next purchase(I smell a second pair of HK Vans in my future). Vans rocked my socks indeed. Thank you for making my day! Despite being surrounded by those back-to-school anklebiters, they were very friendly, calm, cool and collected. Yay! I’m a *Van*!

My teen has a big foot and it can be hard to find something stylish. Shoe shopping can be a drag in cases like this. Not this time! We came in and it was packed! Luckily, we got the most helpful shoe guy, Ty. He found what we needed and then some. He was super patient and attentive. Great service. Yay!

I used to have a really comfortable pair of Vans way back when. I decided to go back to find another pair but I guess even though Vans are retro, they no longer carried that model here. So I went to a pair of Geoff Rowley Classics. Unfortunately, even though Vans have great thick rubber soles, they also have a very flat base with not much arch support. I guess if you’re an all day skater and need the maximum contact/no slippage on your board, they’re good but for pure walking, you may find that you need something that keeps your arches from collapsing.
