The perfect place to stop for breakfast and coffee. The food was awesome and so was the coffee. Really worth the stop. Smoothies looked great as well. The staff was incredible and very friendly. A fun atmosphere.

I had breakfast burrito and it was pretty much bland, with potatoes that were not seasoned or cooked all the way through.

Great halfway point from Miami for food. Sandwiches And wraps are freshly made with fresh ingredients. Some unique items on menu, like rice plate that I loved! Places like these are gems on a road trip!

Midway Café is 80miles for Key West and 80miles from Miami. It is right in the middle of the FLORIDA keys. Great place to stop and get some grub and coffee. Oh! …and Key lime pie! Plus a bunch of other desserts! I had to made a U-turn for this place, and I am glad I did. They even have nice little gifts, way better than the run-of-the-mill gift shops!

We came here for Father’s Day as a party of 6. They do ordering a little differently. You order and pay at the counter for everything and then your food and drink is expedited out to you. I think it was actually faster. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the food was good. I feel like it read a little better on the menu than it actually was, but I would try it again. Could have been just what we had.

It was ok. My food was pretty bland and it’s so expensive for what you get. We got two breakfasts and two drinks and it was $ 30! Very cute location though and the staff was nice.

My fiancé and I came to Midway for coffee every day we were in Islamorada. The people are great, coffee is even better! Tons of options, smoothies, pastries and smiles!

My friends and I drove all the way here for their key lime pie and coffee. It was so worth it. They put meringue on their pie which makes it extra delicious.

This past Saturday morning, my friend, Pablo, was starving. Our other friends were still asleep, so Pablo and I decided to watch the sunrise and then get something to eat nearby. The café was only 2 – 5 minute walk from the Palms & Pine Resort. We sat outside to wait for the café to open at 7am. At 7am, one of the employees came outside, greeted us, and told us to «come on in.» She handed us menus, informed us that we can sit anywhere, we just have to order the food at the counter and they will bring the food to us when it’s ready. After looking at the pictures on their Unilocal page, I decided to order«Everyone’s Favorite» sandwich, which is the croissant with scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese. I thought the sandwich was okay. The croissant sandwich was overpriced for the size/portion in my opinion. The bacon was not crispy at all, but maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be here. I ate every bite of the sandwich with ketchup. It definitely was not my favorite. I’ve had way better fresh croissant sandwiches at La Sandwicherie from Brickell and Miami Beach, but service was good. The young lady with dark hair who greeted us and the young lady with blond curly hair who took and delivered my order were both very friendly. The restaurant is very vibrant with colors and full of artwork too. Plenty of seatings inside and outside for people to sit and chill.

«We’re not very wide but we’re here.» Perfect start to my experience as I looked at the various nooks inside the charming, keysey decorated café. A narrow structure but full of yummy food and pleasant service. Plenty of breakfast options, which is what we went for, at a very reasonable price. I had«Everyone’s favorite breakfast sandwich», lemonade and an espresso. The croissant was the right kind of buttery, well proportioned egg & cheese and option of bacon to make this an ideal choice. The lemonade was fresh and not too sweet… nicely suited to go with a cloudless sky. The espresso was slightly bitter but hit the spot to get us on our way. Bathroom situation is funny(outside, «luxe» and portable) but given the space, they’re making it work. The service was laid back and cheerful. You order up front, pay then find your seat and they’ll bring your order out to you. A very worthwhile spot… would love to go again.

So Good! This is an interesting and cute place. We had breakfast there twice while staying in Islamorada. You have to get in line, go up to the counter, and then find a seat. Don’t be deterred by the line, service is fast and breakfast is varied and delicious. They offer interesting and creative choices, and a wonderful variety of coffees. I chose the Almond Joy cappuccino and it was delicious!

«Cool Atmosphere & Cute little decorated« Midway down the highway between Key Largo and Marathon is this delightful and delicious gem, before I visiting this coffee every morning and I was missing a lot, because it is very sweet to see happy faces and harmony in the morning. The menu is large, breakfast is served all day. They are open for breakfast and lunch, I received big smile and great service, special Amanda, they have a fast window to go and walk inside, this place is absolutely amazing!!! From the minute you step into this cute place, you feel like a part of their family, they are so welcoming and kind, they have delicious coffees and fresh baked, there are some healthy options as well, the key Lime Pie is delicious!!! I highly recommend, Midway Café has always been my favorite spot! I wish you and yours a beautiful weekend! ;)

Excellent food, coffee, smoothies, pastries, and service… Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the nice weather. Parking can be a bit tight but overall lots of spaces in the back and front. Compared to a few other options in the area, I think this is the most affordable and doesn’t compromise quality. Come before 8:30 if you want to beat the morning rush, and don’t forget about the yellow express building in the back for drinks and pastries. Their smoothies /frappes are fantastic. Don’t forget to try the key lime frappé… Yum Their muffins also aren’t too sweet and they heat them up, which I love. Bought some funny magnets here too… Overall they make it very easy to wait either to go or for here. Goat cheese, spinach, tomato and feta quiche is an absolute winner. I do wish they had a crust less option though. Would def come back.

I highly recommend the midway café. The food was nice, staff were friendly and once you know the system, it’s quick and easy. Great atmosphere. It was pretty busy when we arrived last Sunday so we chose a table, grabbed some menus and I got up to order and pay. The line was long but moved quickly. They didn’t have normal green tea so I got another flavour. She gave it to me immediately and put the rest of our order in. The coffee and food came out pretty quickly. I got a sausage burrito with sour cream, my hubby got the Swiss scramble. Both tasty dishes, mine had a lot of potato in it, would have been great if it was loaded with some mushrooms or something else instead of all that potato. His was also a lot of focaccia and less other stuff, but still tasted good.

Outstanding breakfast place in the Keys… great coffee, food and service! So good, we visited twice during our stay. Cute, quaint and cheerful place. You order at the front counter and they bring the food to you wherever you sit. Our favorites included: great coffee/lattes, omelette, pancakes, muffins. All excellent! This was a great stop for getting in and out fast all while having delicious food!

The food was okay but it wasn’t worth the headache. You place your order and pay inside, then they bring it to you at your table. So here is how it went… There were 6 of us eating. I wrote down everyone’s order and took my list inside to submit it. After waiting 10 minutes to get to counter, the cashier asked me to hold on while she took an order from an employee(not really a big deal, just annoying). then she stopped me twice while ordering to talk to someone in the back(same employee). I finished my placing my order and she totaled it. I questioned the amount because it seemed low based on my calculations. I repeated my order(from my written list) and she confirmed it was all on there… I go outside to our table and there was a coffee sitting there(we did not have coffee) and I asked the group who’s that is. They responded and said waitress came and dropped it off. I let the waitress know that she delivered it to the wrong table and she said that I told her it was mine. I replied«no, I didn’t. I was inside ordering.» She said«Yes you did.» I said No, I didn’t, we didn’t order that. Thanks!” The group confirmed that she came and set it down without saying anything.“ The food starts coming out and the smart ass waitress who dropped the coffee off to the wrong table made 2 more comments as she delivered the food, «are you sure this is your order?» I can take a joke and she was not joking! She was just rude!!! Anyway, most of the food has arrived but I am still waiting on mine! Another waitress(really nice) comes out to check on us. I told her I am still waiting on my dish. She goes on to check and comes back and says I didn’t place the order. I said yes I did and showed her the list. She come back a few minutes later with the dish and another bill. That dish should have been free because of the inconvenience. Anyway, I go inside to pay(AGAIN) and tell the girl who screwed up the order that I finished eating and need to pay. She said«okay» and then walked to the back. After standing there for 3 minutes waiting for her, I left the money on counter and walked out. We go to the keys quite often but we will not be stopping here again! With the number of restaurants with good food and great service there is no need to deal with the frustration of this place.

The girlfriend had a list of bookmarked places put together from our drive to the Keys from Fort Lauderdale. Along the way we made stops at a few trinket shops to work up an appetite. I chose this place, well because of all the great reviews. We were both starving upon arrival since it was about noon and we hadn’t eaten yet. We pulled up to a very cozy, colorful little spot that looked like a lot of fun. Unfortunately the food didn’t do much for me. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad but I think it could have been a lot better. Friendly staff but I usually question a place when someone tells me «everything is incredible.» Not many places can pull this off, even to an open minded, hungry guy like myself. The waitress was really pushing us to get two things, one of which we did get, and it was alright. The other was a brioche with bacon and jam. Not a sweets guy so we chose to avoid that one. What we did end up with as recommended, a jasmine rice plate with fried eggs, salsa, grilled onions, garlic, and spinach. Tasted alright but I guess I may have gotten spoiled with all the fresh foods we’ve gotten this year thanks to Unilocal. It was far from the«knock my socks off» type reviews I saw previous to our visit. We also got a breakfast burrito. Eggs, bacon, cheese, sausage, onion, and potato that was pretty soggy right after being prepared. As I was pulling at the tin foil wrap, the wax paper was sticking to the burrito. The girl also got an almond croissant, which was decent. Hey, maybe we both just ordered the wrong things…

Ok, this little place was over the top! From the road it draws you in with its bright colors, but when you walk in it is so warm and welcoming! We were greeted right away and handed menus. You order at a counter with so many delicious looking bakery items and lots of extras. Then you have an option of sitting inside or outside. Both are inviting with colorful indoor and outdoor Caribbean feeling environments. We ordered a veggie omelette, breakfast sandwich, and a banana nut muffin. All were very good with the freshest ingredients. My husband ordered a glass of milk and it came out in a tall cold glass with a curly straw, and I had the Chai Latte that was on of the best I’ve ever had. All of the ladies we came in contact with were just so charming and pleasant it was infectious. I used the bathroom and normally I would never mention a bathroom, but it was amazing with beautiful hand painted drawings all over the walls and even salt scrub for washing your hands. It’s well worth the trip! Ha! Ha! The owners hit all details of owning and operating a great little coffeehouse. The only bad part was it was our last day in the Keys. If I had this place near my home it would be a favorite!

We visited Midway Café on a Sunday during Memorial Day weekend. The place is very charming and cute. The food was great and the service was very fast. The girls are all very nice and sweet. I definitely have to stop again to try their key lime pie, it looked amazing.
