Subpar dinner. The wine list is terribly overpriced. My husband had a glass of Malbec that cost $ 17 and we ordered the seafood pasta which was over cooked and had the pizza which was ok. The best thing we ate was the spinach salad. We waited quite a long time and felt as though our meal was overpriced for the quality of the food.

Came here for dinner on a friends recommendation. Upon walking in I was expecting an upscale atmosphere and you are basically eating in the hotel lobby. Our waitress Natalie was very friendly but did not know basic questions about the drink and wine list. I asked if one of their beers was local and she said she didn’t know. Then I asked if Sandbar was a lager or ale and she stated«I would guess an ale.» These are not responses you would expect at a restaurant like this. Definitely need to revamp their training program. Food was subpar and I was hoping it would deliver after a less than impressive start to the meal. The gnocchi almost looked lightly pan fried which was bizarre. Being from Philadelphia this is not how gnocchi is supposed to be prepared. The entrée was literally flavorless. Overall I would suggest heading elsewhere. Disappointing evening after having high expectations based on other reviews.

This is a welcomed new place here. A refurbished hotel and this new Italian resultant add a delicious choice with unique menu. Flatbread margarita pizza is a welcome dish. Interesting appetizers and main courses cover the bases and a straight ahead spaghetti and meatball dinner is a nice break from the norm. More than adequate wine list offers fair priced choices in all categories. If like to see a few more basic Italian choices and a more well known choices in the wine wits though. But all in all its a beautiful open and engaging atmosphere essentially in the lobby of the hotel. Worth the try

I am still salivating from my dinner last night. WOW. What a non-stop flavor bliss out! We shared a grilled octopus appetizer that had fried sunchokes, spinach, and a purée of a kind of squash(forgot the name — Kombuta?). The colors looked gorgeous together — and the tastes mingled incredibly well with one another. I would just let one tiny fried sunchoke dissolve on my tongue and be in heaven. The octopus was grilled to perfection. So tasty! We also shared the eggplant rollatini, which was also delicious. This was much more straight forward tasty. The bread served with it was beyond… On to the main course — we shared pasta with grilled scallops and shrimp(Divine! I was tempted to drink the remainder of the broth sauce with a spoon, but thought that would look super tacky. It was hard to restrain myself.) My husband ordered a lovely lobster ravioli which was also pretty phenomenal. Nice accent of a couple of pickled mushrooms atop a small bed of greens in the center made it even more of a tasty treat than it was to begin with. It was wonderful to meet the chef, Dario, who clearly is passionate about food — and highly skilled at his craft. We absolutely enjoyed our dinner! Just to clarify — if you’re looking for a seafood restaurant you should look elsewhere. We selected the only seafood options on the menu. If you like having choices of all kinds,(seafood, poultry, red meat, etc) this restaurant will be a perfect choice. Expensive, but worth it!

Food is really good. The northern italian in the morning… Perfectly poached eggs over polenta is fantastic! Egg white omlette is really good too. Night time dinner is great as well. Better to go here than spend at a place like lazy days. Much more sophisticated food and about the same price. Eggplant rollatini and the flatbread were very good. The almond cake with the poached pear was fantastic! Very friendly service.

This is a new restaurant in Amara cay restaurant. It is an italian restaurant with coastal offerings. The restaurant is beautiful and in the lobby. They have different happy hour specials daily and the bartenders are very friendly. For Dinner, we ordered the eggplant rollatini. This was tasty, with a very good marina sauce and was perfectly seasoned, and came with three pieces. The fried seafood dish was very light, and not heavily breaded and was delicious as well. Hubby and I shared the carbonora pasta and the conch francaise. Both these dishes were absolutely delicious. Im not a fan of chicken francaise, but this conch I’d definitely eat again! They were featured on a local tv channel for this particular dish. My only complaint was the pot de crème was pungent, not sweet enough and lacking the consistency. When asked regarding feedback I explained this to the waiter, although my husband still enjoyed it. He said they were still experimenting and he felt it was a bit off himself. As a courtesy he removed the dish from our bill, which was very nice given that my husband had eaten the whole thing! I really like this hotel and restaurant and they are looking to please their customers and really have a passion for good food and service, Would def. come again!

Food is mediocre. Great ambiance, but pretty overpriced. I would look for other options in the vicinity.

This is a restaurant inside the lobby of a boutique hotel. The layout is nice as far as hotel restaurants go. There are hanging chairs and a spacious bar, along with an outdoor pool bar overlooking a fake beach. You are basically part of the hotel, which is nice enough. This place is very new so it’s hard to review the food. It seemed average to me for higher scale Italian places. So nothing wrong with this place and they get a 4 for layout.
