Always look forward to stopping in here on the way to Key West. Great dolphin sandwich & oyster sandwich today! Wsit staff as great as ever.

Beautiful view, fresh fish and good service. When we arrived(Valentine’s Day) they told us there would be a wait so grabbed a seat at the bar in the meantime. Luckily our wait wasn’t very long, didn’t even get to finish our drinks before they called us over to a nice little table overlooking the beautiful ocean. As recommended by our great waiter(Rick), we had the cracked conch, clam chowder and the jalapeño encrusted hog fish, everything was delicious. The hog fish portions were pretty big so we would probably share next time around, but it was so good. Can’t wait to get back and enjoy another lazy day!

Very good but maybe not as great as you read here. It’s a waterfront restaurant and bar, with good food but not like it’s the best ever you will have here. The patio is very pleasant when no one is smoking out there. Great drinks and the service we had was very very good over lunch with as friendly of a waitress. Reasonable enough for the area, and it will make you happy coming here.

I’ m still thinking at my wonderful salad!!! This place is amazing. The location is perfect right the ocean. Two level upstairs you can enjoy a beautiful high view, down stairs you can feel the sand under your foot. Nice experience for me, my hubby and my mamma. I can’t wait the time to come back!!!

Had an excellent lunch at Lazy Days a couple of weeks ago on the recommendation of a local. We sat on the lower level with a great view of the water and had them prepare fish that we’d caught that morning on a fishing expedition. We had the fish served both blackened and«lazy days style,» and the platter included a soup and a side(we went with fries and salad) for each of us. This would have been far more than enough food for two, but we were starving when we got there, so we also ordered jalapeño poppers on a whim. I don’t know why we ordered jalapeño poppers in the Keys, but we did, and they were delicious. The lazy days style fish was excellent, and very indulgent — it comes breaded and fried, drizzled with butter and topped with shredded parmesan, diced tomato, and scallions. I don’t know how they came up with that combination but it works.

The place is interesting mainly because of the amazing view. The food is average and the service too as the waiters seem to be all over the place. The yellowtail sandwich($ 14.99) was good though.

The ambiance and ocean view contributed to the overall«beach vibe». The hog fish was prepared well and had a jalapeño infused breadcrumb curst which was great! They had a great beer option. We started with the stone crab legs which were drop dead amazing. Then we followed with an entrée of the mahi mahi which was cooked to perfection. We are defiantly considering this for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding this October.

I heard so many raves about this restaurant so I decided to make a reservation to seat on the beach. We were lucky the sky decided to be beautiful that night brightened with the moon and stars. The lazy conch was really good! Tastes like fried clams, but firmer. Escargot was ok(a bit too oily…). And we love the hogfish, simple and neat! The drinks were more on the expensive side. A cup of not-even-outstanding cappuccino costs $ 6. But I was on a splurging vacation and my party lingered after the meal to chill, so the price was personally passable for me.

I have no idea why this place has 4 stars. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but they put a plateful of food in front of me that I couldn’t identify. It was fried, so somewhat edible but the picture is from AFTER I finished. The fried seafood platter supposedly has conch although if it was there I couldn’t tell it apart from the fish or scallops. I complained and was told«I can ‘almost’ guarantee it was there» and«I can give you a slice of key lime pie.» Um… no thanks. I give it one star for the atmosphere. Really cool little oceanfront restaurant. Live Music was good and not overbearing. We will not be returning. Too bad because I was so excited when we sat down. :(

Another great meal from Lazy Days. I had the lazy gator again. I can’t get enough of that dish. Their shrimp coctail is one of the best I have ever had. Great views, cold beverages and they have hogfish. I recommend hogfish lazy style. It is very tasty. The only reason for any kind of downgrade is their banana bread has gone severely downhill. The waiter charged us for someone elses drinks and was so slow. Forgot to bring my dad’s salad and did not offer any kind of apology or to adjust the bill or anything. We waited for the check for an extended amount of time and when found it was wrong we could not get the waiters attention to get it corrected, once the manager came and corrected it, there was no apology offered.

After some fun fishing with the family, our boat captain recommending taking our catch to Lazy Days. When we got there, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table on the beach… but how cool is that? Feet in the sand, grabbed a brew, and even the kids went down towards the beach and played a bit. We did the ‘fresh catch’ at $ 16 per person. They serve family style and can serve with 3 different methods. We choose the Lazy Days, a Jalapeño style, and plain grilled for the kids. I gotta say, it was del.ici.ous. We ordered soup of the day which was seafood bisque… it was awesome. Ok? We had such a great time, why not 5 stars? I will tell you… the fish is the most expensive part… we brought our own…$ 3 separates my fish from theirs. I thought there should a bigger difference. Almost like just pay $ 18 and bring mine home for another day. Oh well.

A gem of a place on the way to(or back from depending on which direction you heading) Key West, on Isla Morada. As we entered, we saw the butcher filet a massive 40 pound(freshly caught I presumed) Grouper, which made it easy to pick out order. We got a table right by the sea, double thumbs up for that! Had to order gator bites since we’re in southern Florida, but, while the dish was pretty tasteful, it felt weird because we were petting gators just the day before, and now we’re eating one of them. They have their own«Lazy» ways of cooking fish, our waitress recommended jalapeño crusted, and it was absolutely sumptuous! Highly recommended for dinner, especially after spending the day driving to and diving in the Keys.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet… Everyone should stop what they’re doing and drive to Lazy Days in Islamorada RIGHTNOW. Yes, the ambiance is great, yes the drinks flow incessantly, and yes, it’s on the water in the gorgeous Florida Keys. However, the hidden gem for this restaurant is the ‘Lazy days conch’. I order it once years ago, and I can’t even drive by the restaurant with stopping and getting another. It is irresistible. They tenderize the conch and make it into somewhat of a pancake, then it’s cooked in a pan with a key lime/garlic/scallion sauce. Sofreakinggood. I’ll order one ‘to share’ but then I become like a protective puppy with its toy. MINE! You may want to get a couple for the table to avoid seeming like you’ve been fasting for a week.

I am extremely excited about what the keys have to offer after dining here last night. We had heard about their fish and decided to give it a shot. they have dining indoors, on the beach and on the outdoor patio. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio section since the beach may me a little damp from the rain. They also sell fish on the first floor. We were greeted by our serve Patty, who was extremely sweet, and courteous. They had so many items on the menu! Including a full page of specials. I asked if i could get hogfish encrusted in the jalapeño topping with key lime butter sauce, and she said yes. I was super excited because i had not tried hogfish before and had heard rave reviews about their jalapeño crust. I ordered the fallen apple which was a creamy apple cinnamon drink that is a mixture of horchata and eggnog with alcohol of course, and was absolutely delicious. They brought out fresh bread, including a banana nut bread… that was awesome, and there goes my diet. My husband had the special Lobster Islamoralda which was covered in shrimp and scallop and provolone and goodness. We also got the lazy conch– which was the best lazy conch we’ve ever had. So tender, pan fried, with cheese, scallion, tomato and key lime butter. My fish came out and the portion was HUGE and only 27 $, It was so soft delicate, with crispy outside and a kick from the jalapeño, and I“m kind of a hot sauce or spicy flavor queen but I did not need anything to add to it. My husband had to admit that my fish was actually better than the lobster. and I had to agree, and I’m a huge lobster fan! HANDSDOWN the best fish dish we’ve ever had. All and All this place was beautiful, service great, portions and quality absolutely fresh and amazing, and it sets the bar high for what the keys have to offer us. everyone else better have their game-face on!

Gorgeous view, this is what the Keys restaurant views should be! Seating inside is limited and reservations are strongly encouraged. There is a huge bar that takes up most of the space. There are many tables outside, and isn’t too hot with the breeze and shade. We ordered 2 of the Crab cake, 2 calamari, Tuna tartare, and coconut shrimp appetizers. They came out so fast it made our head spin. They obviously have everything ready to go in a fryer or plated because they were anticipating a big crowd on Labor Day weekend. They bring out complimentary bread basket with butter that has banana bread in it, the kind that’s not sweet. The crab cake is a giant cake, had a key lime sauce that was different and good, but no lump pieces of crab in it :(just the shredded kind of crab, and yes filler! The calamari comes plenty in one order, crispy breaded small rings, and a side of chunky marinara sauce, everyone was happy. The Tuna tartare was brown in color, I’m guessing from the heat? I’ve never had tuna served brown only pink. Wonton chips were served with the tuna and drizzled with an aoli. It was just ok, nothing tasty, missing salt. Coconut shrimp I didn’t try, the shrimp are on the smaller side. Orders of escargot, fish sandwiches(grilled, blackened and lazy days style), steak, and salad for the tables entrees. I had the blackened Dolphin sandwich. The sandwiches come open faced with lettuce, tomato, red onion, tartar sauce, and choice of a side: potato, fries, sweet potato fries, vegetable of the day, I got baked potato. The blackened fish was perfection, melty fish, not oily, and the fillets were doubled! I ate half the sandwich and had the other half for my later dinner, very generous with the fish and filling. The bottom bun of the sandwich gets soft pretty quickly though. My husband sandwich was Dolphin Lazy days style which is panco breaded and fried, topped with parmesan and a key lime sauce and is a 2 $ up charge. He loved it as did another at the table, I tried it and thought my blackened was better, healthier. I had my cousins leftover steak and it was Delish and a great char, we all made fun of her for ordering steak in a seafood place. Music started playing outside under a tiki hut near the end of our early dinner(6pm?) Friendly server and she had to fill up our waters so many times(everyone came from fishing), she made sure everything came out to our liking. Only thing is when the bill came it took a while, everything else that night was fast. Great views, everyone enjoyed their food, nothing for me to come back to as the Keys have amazing places.

Lazy days= lazy cooking. I can’t understand for the life of me how this place has such good reviews. Service and view is great, but honestly everywhere in the keys you get a nice view. The only food item I can say was good was their banana bread they severe complimentary. Everything else was not good. Our spinach salad was gross. It was described with bits of oranges and peaches and sliced almonds. When we got it, the plate literally had the peaches and oranges from a can dumped on the plate with spinach salad over it. So gross. The crab cake we ordered was huge, but smothered in a thick sauce which made the crab cake soggy. Not good. We were so turned off we couldn’t order anything else. I saw plates around me with seafood, but it all seemed microwaved and not fresh. I am disappointed.

We decided a new place for dinner on our way back from Key West. We sat on the beach. We had a nice breeze. Our server was amazing. She was so sweet and so helpful. I had the grouper lazy days style over pasta. It was very good. The portion was huge. I took ½ of it home. The homemade chocolate banana bread to start was really yummy. My husband had the broiler seafood platter and it was really good too The shrimp were enormous. We will absolutely be back… and telling all our friends.

Wow. This place is awesome! My friends live nearby and recommended that my bf and I go here for lunch. We weren’t sure what to expect, but upon arrival, we understood immediately why they love this place. The scenery is incredible! The restaurant overlooks the ocean. You can choose to sit in the open-air downstairs dining area(which even has a few tables in the sand) or in the climate-controlled upstairs dining area. Both offer great views. We opted to sit downstairs and take in the beachy vibe. The food was just as good as the scenery. We both started with the key lime pie martini… INCREDIBLE! It was basically a dessert, with graham cracker crust around the rim. We also ordered oysters Moscow, cracked conch, a seafood salad and a BLT. Everything sounded amazing, so we ordered way too much. Luckily, we got to-go boxes. Everything we ordered was delicious. I can’t wait to come back here on our next visit. The only downside here is that since it’s on the ocean side, it doesn’t offer incredible sunset views. But with that said, we’ll DEFINITELY be back for lunch.

Glad we took a pit stop on our way back from Key West. You eat right outside right on the beach. Don’t let your napkins blow away, or they will turn into fish food! We got an order of conch ceviche to split for the table. The waiter was nice enough to bring out some potato chips for me because I can’t have their regular chips. The ceviche was wonderfully fresh, loaded with conch, and not overpoweringly citrus-y. For the main I ordered the crab and asparagus salad(minus the asparagus, because… ew, with extra avocado) and wooooooweeeeeee there was a lot of crab on there. This salad is no joke. I was stuffed before I even got through half the lettuce but made myself dig out all the crab pieces until they were gone. Good stop and I’ll have to remember this if we ever do the drive down the Keys again.
