Love Bubba’s! Favorite menu items are the shrimp tacos with amazing pineapple salsa and surf & turf burrito. My husband loves to be glutinous and get the Guilt Trip. The Baja sauce is delicious! I took 1 star off due to how impossible it is to get through when you are calling in an order even at non peak hours(nonstop redial for like 15 minutes) and the fact that there’s always a line. I wish they would expand and include more tables to eat in, although in summer they have additional seating in the back.

This place was what it was talked up to be for sure. The burritos truly are bangin! I’ve been putting off the drive here for a while because it is against traffic for me for dinner time and it would take me hours to get here. So last Saturday I took the trip with my sister to avoid rush hour, since the place is also closed on Sundays(check the hours before you go, I almost made the drive on a Sunday; I would have been so disappointed) The service was great and the atmosphere has a cute surf shack feel. I have one tip for you if you go: call your order ahead! I waited about 20 minutes for my burrito after standing in line to order it. Ordering ahead is a great way to save time and I will definately do that next time I go.

Absolute favorite and best spot for a burrito on LI. Good prices and the food… delicious. Many options. The wait is killer, lines are super long and only about 8 tables to sit in and they are usually taken. Other than that, highly recommend.

Food is great, always packed. They are doing something right!!! Hope all the locals try this out. Few things to know: 1. Hard to place a phone order 2. The line to order is a always long 3. Each burrito is about $ 10, but u can share one cause they big. My wife and I order 1 burrito and 2 tacos. Under $ 20 4. Well worth the wait. Very tasty. Try a beer while u wait. That’s what I do!

I had this for the first time while hanging out in Islip. Many people told me it was top notch and hyped it up. I must say the hype is real. I had the steak burrito which felt like it weighed 2 lbs. Yet when you eat the burrito it feels surprisingly light going down. I will definitely get things from there more often if i’m in the neighborhood. I’m still debating if this place is better than swell taco(my favorite taco place in W. babylon.

Awesome little spot with amazing food. Came in around 2pm on a Thursday and it was packed. I ordered the Land and Sea burrito. One of the best burritos I’ve ever had. The burrito was a good size too. They also have like 5 beers on tap along with bottled beers. Check this place out.

The food here is pretty close to 5 stars! Especially the fish tacos ! They’re amazing! The portions are quite big, so big you could make two meals of some of these burritos! They also have a good selection of beer. And not just cheap crappy bud light and Budweiser but some nice craft beers on tap at this place! Now on to why this place gets 3 stars. You can not call in an order here without calling dozens upon dozens upon dozens upon dozens of times. They actually have a shirt that says are phones aren’t off the hook our burritos are. When in fact if you watch them behind the counter they will actually leave the phone off the hook after taking an order. This isn’t so much the problem as is the fact that they havnt even gotten as far as getting a second register in this place! Which they need too! Stat! I would come here a lot more often if it wasn’t for the wait time. Instead I like going to green cactus, which has better quality food but just not as big of portions and no beer:(. M

MONSTERPORTIONS! We had a Bubba salad with chicken, a Classic steak burrito with a small guac on the side, and a Sea Salt ale on tap. Fresh, delicious and huge! Order came out pretty fast, staff was friendly and easy going. We stuffed ourselves with a beer to top it off, all for $ 26. What more can someone ask for? If we lived in the area we’d be in serious(weight gain) trouble!

The problem here isn’t the food. They have THE best fish tacos. Of which i ordered 4 to take home and ended up with only one. The girl who took my order repeated my order to me wrong and even though I corrected her my order still wasn’t right. Clearly this place is good food. There is ALWAYS a line out the door and groups of people standing around waiting for their orders that are in the way, hovering over people eating in and just creating a cluster f*ck. Which begs the question — why don’t they get a second register or figure out a way to be faster and efficient with serving? I just waited on a long and slow line where people were asking for samples of beer at the register and holding up the line only to get there and have my order all wrong. Until Bubba’s can improve their service and the haphazard way in which they provide it, three stars is all I can give them.

Just good olé fashioned food here. Size of the portions are monstrous but filled with delicious flavors. Take out is ideal as usually all the seats are taken but be forewarned if you can place an order by phone do that(phone is 98% busy though). Because if you go to place your order in person you will be waiting for awhile. Nature of the beast when you are dealing with top quality food.

I love Bubbas. It is my happy place. I’ve been to Bubbas a handful of times. The burritos, tacos, and sides are always exceptional. Everytime I come here the place is a madhouse and I understand why. With options like Moe’s and Chipotle around, why wouldn’t you come here? The prices are comparable and the ingredients and uniqueness take this place over the edge. It is heaven. I love the shrimp tacos. Perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp with diced mango, pineapple, fresh cabbage, guacamole, and Baja sauce? It sounds like a lot but every bite is perfect. My husband never gets the burritos. He always gets a mess of tacos and they’re always great. I’ve had many of the burritos on the menu. But my current favorite is the land and sea. Tender steak, juicy shrimp, rice, and Baja sauce. Tame compared to the rest of the menu but it’s just so good. I also love the Bubba bow which is their version of cheese potatoes. They portion is huge for $ 4 and it’s so good. Last visit they were missing 1 of the Bubba bowls from our order. This was after waiting almost 45 minutes for our food. The manager felt so bad he fixed the issue immediately and gave us a $ 10 gift certificate to make up for the issue. Now that’s customer service. The certificate is burning a hole in my pocket and I need to get here again immediately!

I usually get gassy or constipated when I eat Mexican food so I stopped. But then one of my friend Juan Jose told me to just try it once… so I did and it was worth the constipation. They have a plentiful selection of burritos and all other Mexican foods! They have long lines and don’t even bother with calling them. They also have surprisingly good french fries. I would recommend this place to any of my friends. This place is a Mexico burrito joint with an American twist. This is Cornelius T. With the Unilocal and I’m out.

This place is incredible! No words can describe how much I crave this place and I only went once. It’s so much better than Chipotle! The only downfall to it that there isn’t any seating — barely. I just have nothing more I could say than you MUST come here! They have seafood options too!

I am a big fan of fish tacos and burritos. I was working around the corner and came across Bubba’s burrito bar. The place was packed. Lots of high school students and families.(It was MLK day) I noticed they had fish tacos but no burrito. I asked the person behind the counter if they could make a burrito with fish. She said no problem!(very accommodating) The burrito came out rather quick despite the crowd. It was very tasty. The only thing I didn’t like was the fish was greasy(usually fried at to low of a temperature). Flavors were good, well seasoned. I would go back.

This place is serious! Grab a napkin because in a moment you’ll start to drool. I waited all day for the moment I could finally sit down and take the time to write this review. Went to my friends house today to visit. Haven’t seen him in a while, decided we should grab a bite to eat. He asked if I’ve been to Bubba’s Burrito Bar? So I had told him NO, but that its on my «Yelp Hitlist»(bookmarked places to go). He’s like«meh, the line might be out the door because its mostly a bunch of high school kids that go there after school and what not. We should have it delivered instead». I told him for the sake of all the Unilocalers out there, I need to visit the establishment. Boy what a mistake… Place was PACKED! And from what the commotion was around me, I heard everyone saying how that was«normal». So. walking into a Burrito Bar that is packed out? Is not a bad sign. Wasn’t thrilled on the wait at all, but it was well worth that while wait. Honestly the place was so packed they had customers sitting in the outdoor seating area in 40degree weather. Ohhh the dedication. The place, although full seemed cleaned and maintained well. When I finally got the chance to order I went with: [Land and Sea Burrito] — Marinated steak, grilled shrimp, and rice topped with a baja sauce. [Bubba’s Bowl] — Fried potatoes, queso, sour cream, and scallions in a bowl. [The Land and Sea Burrito] was superb! if you order this, highly suggest adding more Baja Sauce. These burritos are so massive, it takes two hands to hold it properly. The whole time you’re devouring this you’re just saying in your head, «Keep it together soldier!» «You got this!». Its a struggle to finish one of these. [Bubba’s Bowl]. meh. I assume its supposed to be just like the«Loaded Fiesta Potatoes» from Tacobell just a much larger portion. And BBB uses what looked to be french fries. Overall, I will be going back. I would like to try there taco’s next. I see you Bubba. I see you.

I went into Bubba’s close to opening(around 12PM) on a Monday afternoon. The restaurant itself is located on a pretty busy street, so it’s not easy to find street parking; however, there is a parking lot and entrance to the business in the back. Luckily, I had been here once before with a friend because otherwise I wouldn’t have known where the restaurant’s back entrance was — signs would help. There are a few tables, but on a busy day it would be really tough to get a spot to sit. I ordered an Idaho Burrito(lightly fried potatoes, melted jack cheese, sour cream & scallions) I chose to add Buffalo Chicken & tomatoes(because I eat tomatoes with any damn thing). In total my order was just under $ 10, and I was impressed with the size of the burrito — there’s NO way I was going to finish it in one shot! Now the burrito itself? Left soo much to be desired, it was mediocre at best. Every bite would be either chicken, or potatoes. maybe a bit of sour cream here and there — I didn’t have one bite with everything. In addition, I felt the burrito was bland & dry. with potatoes I think there should’ve been either: more sour cream, or the addition of a sauce. To be honest, I chose Buffalo Chicken because I figured it would add a bit of moisture to the dry potatoes, but I was wrong. Lastly, and what affected my rating from 4 to 3 stars are the employees… While the cashier that rang me up was friendly, it took ME engaging HER to place my order. They are pretty young behind the counter and appear to be more interested in socializing than actually working.

Brotato had steak, onion rings, fried potatoes, cheese, baja sauce. I found myself thinking where’s the beef! Like that old lady in the old Wendy’s commercial. Bubbas knows how to stuff and wrap a burrito, but they should fix their ratios. Got tired of eating all of the potatoes that were mainly in it. Steak was also underwhelming. Order some nachos it will take you 5 mins alone to answer all of the questions the girl will proceed to ask you: what meat on top? Beans or no beans? A pile of nachos or 6 chips? Side of salsa? Or you can get salsa, sour cream, and guacamole for a $ 1. That being said, I actually liked the nachos better than my burrito. It was a large portion and you could actually taste all of the individual ingredients. They come with a cheese sauce rather than melted shredded cheese. If you’re not a bean person don’t get the nachos with the beans because they do add a lot. The chips clearly tasted homemade and really made the nachos great. Side of guacamole was pretty good, very thick with no add ins like onions. An o. k experience at bubbas.

Ohh bubbas sadly you are not the best burrito place in my opinion after my long awaited visit. Yes this place is super tiny like everyone has said so don’t plan on eating there unless you go at an odd time and can grab a table. I decided to go with the Guilt Trip — chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, fried potatoes, bacon, shredded cheese, sour cream and Baja sauce. Because honestly where else am I going to find a burrito like this? Yes the burrito was tasty, tasty of mainly potatoes. Barely any sour cream or Baja sauce was in the burrito and I basically felt like I was eating a French fry burrito. $ 10 for that? Kinda sucky. I had guac on the side and added it in the burrito and it made it a lot better! Their whole wheat tortillas are good and better than most, I like how they press the burritos like a quesadilla to give crunch and helps a lot with it staying together. I also tried some of a marinated steak burrito, still just alright. Nothing that flavorful about the meat. Their homemade chips are very good I suggest getting some if you go with some guac and salsa. Place is a drive for me, If I came back I probably wouldn’t order a speciality burrito(or anything with potatoes or fillers) and stick with more of a classic option.

Got 2 Naked Burritos to go. Beef Classic Burrito and a Buffalo Chicken. Fast service. Huge portions. First time getting food here. I’m not a big burritos person hence the Naked. I only wish I wouldv’e added extra tomatoes(besides the ones that were in the guac) and maybe some lettuce and extra sour cream. Once it’s all mixed together, those seem to disappear. My Fiancé enjoyed his Buffalo Chicken one but we both thought our food wasn’t anything extraordinary. Great prices. Just under $ 20 for the 2.

Ustedes no tienen postre. Tiene un ambiente típico. Es mejor que todos los otros restaurantes mexicanos!
