One of the best homemade ice cream place on Long Island! All the ice cream is tasty, creamy, fresh, and delicious! If you’re in the area, it’s a MUST place to check out. The décor is classic ice cream/soda fountain style. The place isn’t that big, but the booths easily fit 4 people!

By far my favorite ice cream place in Long Island. Didn’t give it 5 stars because it is a bit pricey. They have a wide variety of flavors such as banana oreo(my favorite), holy cannoli, heathbar crunch and others. They have great cakes and also sell quarts of the ice cream. The place is set up nice and has old school music always playing in the background. Definitely recommend this place if you have never tried it before!

Eh, it’s ok. I’ve been once before and remembered why I hadn’t returned. The ice cream is too sweet. So sweet that I couldn’t tell one flavor from another. So sweet that my daughter ate less than half her ice cream. It was SUPER expensive, too. $ 21 for 3 sundaes. I know that it’s been around for a long time and is established in the neighborhood. I’d definitely opt for something else, though.

Cool little place playing oldies satellite radio as you enjoy one of dozens of interesting flavors. I got cherry pistachio, hubby had mint oreo and son got vanilla peanut butter fudge. Everything was delicious. The counter staff was cheerful and allowed us to sample flavors before making our selections. Loved the music, the vibe and the ice cream. Can’t wait to go back!

So far, I am head over heels for this place. It’s not Baskin Robins, but if truth be told, it’s better and across the street. Keep it up and I will weigh over 400 pounds. Anyway, try the Canoli ice cream. It is the best I’ve tasted. I’ll try all the other flavors when I become more established to my surrounding. Bön Appetite!

Small shop with a dozen seats and nice outdoor seating in the back. Love the 50s diner vibe. Prices are good and you can get 2 flavored in a small. The ice cream is rich and smooth. Love the Mississippi Mud(coffee base with chocolate and cookies) and Elvis PB(chocolate ice cream with PB and marshmallow). Favorite is the PB Oreo. Best part– you can design whatever ice cream cake you want. Wish list– more special favors rotating in and out.

Pretty good ice-cream, although there was some chunks of ice in one of my scoops. I wasn’t a fan of the service. There’s so little to be done to make a customer happy at an ice-cream parlor and yet I felt like I was annoying the girl behind the counter by just looking around.

I’m not big on ice cream however my son is and when my son is happy so am I. The staff was warm and the place is quaint but what you can always count on is that the ice cream is incredible.

Large flavor choices. We got 2 mediums in a cup both with sprinkles. $ 10.85. They had a few booth tables so you can sit and enjoy. I got 2 flavors. Peanut butter oreo which was good, and cannoli which wasn’t bad. It had legit cannoli shells in it, not to soggy, and some mini chocolate chips. Unfortunately some of it tasted like freezer burn. I don’t really hold this against them because it is the slow winter season. Service wasn’t bad.

Delicious homemade ice cream. A little pricey but sooo good! Kind of strange having Red Sox memorabilia in a store located in NY.

Great ice cream and a very large selection. I liked the«old school» feel of Coyles. If you’re in the mood for ice cream or a shake, I recommend this place.

Best Ice cream on Long Island. Made locally… lots of flavor choices. Homemade ice cream cakes too. Kinda pricey, but worth it for a special treat.

Wow. Oreo cookie ice cream might be the best ice cream ever. I’d love to go back and try some of the different flavors.

I had some cannoli ice cream here and wow! It was incredible. It seemed they had endless flavors to choose from, any toppings you wanted etc. They had a bunch of cakes, as well as cakes you can customize in crazy ways! Dislikes: almost $ 6 bucks for a small ice cream with one topping! the young lady who cover and packaged my ‘to go’ ice cream did not even put a real cover on it and it literally spilt all over me and my car… not cool its is so expensive… but ya know the ice cream is great!

Mississippi Mud(chocolate/coffee, brownie, fudge) hands down the best ice cream flavor you’ll ever have. Forget Baskin Robbins, Cold Stone, Carvel, Friendlys, Haagen Daaz, Ben and Jerry’s and whatever you thought you knew about ice cream, MISSISSIPPIMUD is where its at! This joint is located right next to Bubba’s Burrito Bar so grab a couple fish taco’s and embrace the food coma at Coyles. My buddy got some peanut butter fudge sundae and he wanted to come back the same night! They have the safe ice cream flavors and then they got ones that’ll make you forget about your go to ice cream shop. If you plan on using your card remember that its a $ 10 minimum, and if you’re in Bay Shore then stop in that shop as it has more flavors.

Open 230pm/3pm-ish to 1030pm-ish. I love ice cream! Our family always loves to try homemade ice cream wherever our travels take us. Coyles is a spot we always hit when we’re even remotely close. Mr. Coyle has created a wide selection of HOMEMADE flavors that include sugar-free and fat-free options. I have my own favorites: Peanut Butter Oreo, Chunky Monkey, and Brownie Nut Fudge. My wife enjoys Mocha Chip. My diabetic mom digs SF butter pecan. I could continue to list all my family’s favorites, but what I’m trying to say is that, this ice cream has never disappointed. Prices are on par with other locations(Is there such thing as cheap ice cream anymore anyways?) but ya gotta remember… this is a local vendor, NOT Corporate America! Whatever prices he needs to charge to stay afloat, I’m all for it, cuz the man is «doing his thang» to create a great tasting product in a clean environment.

We stopped here after Smoking Als for some dessert. I ordered a Raspberry Chocolate Chip milkshake and it really hit the spot, my wife ordered Vanilla Peanut Butter Fudge was very pleased as well. They have a very impressive amount of flavors that they offer, A nice find

I’m giving this place a 2 because I’ve definitely experienced better. Their ice cream is «okay,» but the prices are outrageous. They do have a lot of flavors and toppings to choose from, but I don’t find the taste that thrilling. It’s decent if you’re just going out for ice cream, but if you’re really in the mood for something delicious, I would try elsewhere.

I don’t know about the previous review, but I enjoyed Coyle’s quite a bit, as did my wife. We came here after our disasterous lunch at Maxwell’s next door(read that review for details.) and decided to cleanse our disappointed palates with some ice cream. The atmosphere is like an old time ice cream parlor, and I thought that the choice of flavors was pretty expansive considering how small the place is. My wife got a sundae in a waffle cone bowl that was surprisingly huge and very delicious. They have very good hot fudge, but I wish the whipped cream was homemade. I got a small cup with a scoop of fudgiewudgie and cake batter, both of which were very tasty with the fudgiewudgie winning out by just a bit. If you’re in the area and feel the urge for homemade ice cream, I’d say it’s totally worth a stop.
