From here to Cannery Row, Pier 39 to Santa Cruz, this is THEFIRST Starbucks that I have been to that will not do a pour over with any other coffee but what they are brewing. All other Starbucks, including the one on the hill in college town and all Targets that I have frequented will do a pour over with a single source or variety of the day. Not this one!

I stopped by for Venti Green Tea Frappuchino 50% off today. It does not tasty at all. No taste. No sweet. Too much ice in my drink. So just beware the barista. If you pay for full price it still does not worth your money. I pay half price, I still have to waste my time to fix the drink. That’s your choice. Lately, the quality of drink, barista and service is getting drop in the last 3 years. Just penny of thought for all customers. For both service and the beverage needed to improved. For more than 5 dollar it was really expensive, I can purchase a whole lunch meal such as 1 subway or 2 Mcdonald burger, or 1 appertizer at apple bee instead 1 cup of tasteless drink. And lately, I have to order just regular hot coffee instead because I am not trust the quality of barista, if I will order the expensive one, it will not wort my money because the lack of quality. Also, lately the quality of service is dropped, too. Seems like they are not well trained or not ready to served, not willing to served, if compare with normal starbucks standard. Maybe one of the reason is because this location is still have job opening for manager position, probably. 1. I talk to them and I was not finished the conversation, yet, and then, she walked away. 2. I talk to the other one that I purchased the card and would like to let her charged for the hot coffee«on card», she made me the drink and said it has to charged seperately, the card has to activated first, then I had to cancel the drinks, because if I pay seperately, I will not get the star. 3. The green tea frappucino was no taste and too icy. It was very disappointed. If I will asked her for added syrup or make the new one, she already not satisfied, give me a look and give me not a welcome face. No smile, look scary, and not willing to served. If I told her to added syrup, or make the new one, she will complained me or surely not satisfied and not happy to make me the new one. Just a thought for you to considered. Many of them worked there more than 6 months and make so many frappuchino, they supposed to served the better service and be professional for both act and brought the starbucks quality to customers. This is not the first time that I think I recieved the not a appropriate service from this location in the past 6 months. But I think I should say something if anybody at that location can not improved it. Then I have to talk to somebody that can solved the problem. I am a regular customer at Starbucks Ithaca for more than 5 years I am a customer since 1996 and now I am concerned about customer service quality and ability of barista at this location. In conclusion, lately, the quality of drink, barista and service of this location is getting drop in the last 3 years. Just penny of thought from really long time customer.

It seems to be more or less the same Starbucks experience you get anywhere else. Someone asks you if they can get something started for you, they ask your name, you pay, and you’re out. The drink and coffee quality in general is what you can expect from any other location. I happened in during a less busy period so the service was fast and there were several seats available… although I will note that even mid-afternoon on a weekday, there are several«campers» who had obviously been lodged in seats for the long term. Of course being under a hotel, it is going to get insanely busy in the mornings as every guest who normally has coffee at home when they’re not traveling is going to be jamming this Starbucks.

As far as Starbucks go this is a good one. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a good assortment of baked goods and merchandise to sell. There is limited seating so don’t except to find a seat at busy time of day! The big downside is you have to get the key from the staff and go out into the hall to use the restroom. It is like a hotel card key you need to swipe.

Been here a few times in the morning. Your typical Starbucks, except with horribly slow service. The employees appear to put forth no effort to speed things up, which is especially frustrating when you need to be somewhere quick. Expect to wait 10 – 20 minutes for no particularly good reason.

Generously sized café in the same building as the Hilton Garden inn with quite a few tables. Friendly staff found some leftover Starbucks gingerbread syrup and made my girls their favorite lattes woot! All the usual cakes and foods too.

I remember when I used to go to school in Ithaca, there was no such thing as a Starbucks in town. So imagine my surprise when I come back years later to see that there is a Starbucks now… considering all the other small cafes in the near vicinity, Starbucks should be last on my list… BUT… from where I come from, I am a slave to Starbucks(almost, sort of, in that not so much kind of way). This one is a-ok in my books.

This place is so incredibly cold all the time. It may feel good the minute you enter, but in 20 minutes you’ll be wishing you’d brought a blanket. It is their way of getting you to leave I think. I rarely finish my drink here. Starbucks as a whole generally sucks, but this one particularly is impossible to work in for lack of blood to the brain.

I’ve been a regular at this Starbucks for about a year now, and walking in each morning for either a hot or cold venti coffee with soy milk has become one of the parts of my day that I look forward to the most. The baristas are all very laid back, and all have their own distinct personalities that help make the environment at this particular SB extremely comfortable. As Howard Schultz often says, it’s not just about the coffee; it’s about the entire experience of purchasing and drinking coffee. Recommend to all.
