We spent one night at Tuxedo Cat on the way home from an update beer tour. It is a great place to stay. First, Amber and Duc are wonderful hosts. They have great recommendations for places to eat and drink. They are also friendly and genuinely interested in making sure you have a great stay in Ithaca. Second, the location of the property is perfect. It is within walking distance of the downtown so you can park right in front of their home and begin exploring. I would recommend Cascadilla falls, which are about a 15 minute walk. Pick up some coffee at Gimme Coffee for the walk. It is wicked good! Third, the place is spotless, the bed is comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. There is really nothing else to say. Just stay there!

I recently stayed at the Tuxedo Cat B&B while attending a Vegan conference at Cornell… how wonderful to find a vegan, cruelty free place to stay during a trip like this! The proprietors, Amber and Duc, are warm, friendly, accommodating and interesting people. Really enjoyed talking with both of them. Felt like they were old friends. Amber is lovely and an amazing chef! She made the most amazing Risotto with Shiitake Bacon, as well as delicious gluten free, vegan pancakes(didn’t know they could taste so good!) and a fabulous vegan frittata for my breakfasts. She was so sweet to accommodate my gluten free request. I woke each morning to tantalizing smells of breakfast cooking! The kitties are also part of the charm of this lovely B&B. They greet you in the morning and the evening. Very sweet. Amber and Duc have a darling, inviting, cozy home which they graciously welcome their guests into. You walk in the door to the glow of the fireplace and the delicious smells of Amber’s cooking. Amber shared some of her amazing recipes as well as some local literature on veganism. I loved staying here and hope to have the chance to stay here again in the future! Thank you Tuxedo Cat!
