Good food, cold beer, live music Fri to Sunday! Prices are decent and the crowds are not too bad, even during bike week, seems like a lot of locals. Definitely get away from North Conway and check Out Shannon Door!

Great food and a Great place. The pizza was great as well as with he haddock. The haddock was previously frozen because I know when it’s fresh and when it was frozen was good though. The artichoke hearts where good as a appetizer with a nice thick cheese on top. very tasty. The outside screened dining was awesome on a 80 degree night… wonderful casual dining experience ! I would highly reccomend this place ! Good for kids and parents that want to unwind at the end of a busy day. right down the road from storyland !

What a fun place! Good pizza, and entertainment at the end of the week and weekend. We had a great time there. Marty Quirk is an amazing Irish singer!

Dropped in to the best pizza maker spot in the valley. As usual they didn’t disappiont. Pepper roni, meat ball, just plain cheese were consumed by the group. Also a fantastic Sheppard pie. Basic chicken fingers came with a great jalapeño dipping sauce. Our deserts were tasty too. My group also washed it down with a couple of pitchers of harp beer. All this for just over 90 bucks. Great food, great people, and great price. Cannot beat this place.

Excellent pizza and cheap drinks for the valley. Have gone here many times and never been disappointed.

Seeing as how this place was across the street from our BnB, we decided to check it out. Totally did not expect the crowds… mix of locals and vacation people. Luckily we were only two so we found some seats after some nice people bumped over one. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt. 6 drinks, 2 dinners cost less than 50 bucks and there was good music playing and lots of interesting conversations to eavesdrop on ;) They also had a woman doing face painting for the kids which led to some interesting faces wandering by. Nice local place!

I’ve always heard about this place, but never had a chance to go until about a month ago. The place has a really nice Irish pub atmosphere and theme, but it could really be so much better. The food is served in tacky, plastic baskets that you’d see at a cheap diner. The live entertainment was a nice touch too, however, overall, the service was pretty mediocre. I had a specialty cocktail and it was a little weak. We ordered nachos with our drinks and were not impressed at all. It was the most basic plate of nachos I’ve ever had — the nachos were overcooked and there was barely any toppings. How do you screw up nachos?

Interesting little place with great music and decidedly mediocre food. After a 3 hour drive and several scotches the food was still simply ok; not even a health dose of booze improved the taste. Go for the atmosphere, the great service and music with the expectation that dinner will be a modest disappointment.

Amazing Irish pub. You can grab a pizza(which they are known for) and a pint, listen to some music and always set the owner pitching in!!! It’s a real slice of Ireland and you feel at home.

Good friends, good tunes, good drinks, and plenty of interesting things to look at on the walls. A good local spot.

So we were staying in Jackson and had never stopped here before. Everyone says this is the place to go if you want to avoid the tourists and just have a good evening at a place that the locals go. Food — 3+ Everything is good. For an Irish pub, they have pretty good spag and balls. Sheps pie(old school style) very good. Their pizza(served on cardboard plates) is also very good. Chili, French Onion soup, steak, etc., nothing but compliments on the food, it’s a bar, and it’s good stuff. If you want strange combinations of fromage and organic veggies, this is not the place for you. Ambiance — 3+ — It’s a bar with a restaurant. Good beer, great live music(and not too loud!), and a fun, lively crowd. Well, the crowd was great and the music was interactive(both positives!). Just remember that«you’ll be making merry when you marry Merry Mack» and you’ll be fine. Service — 4+ — Yeah, it was slow, but the place was packed. Every. Night. We. Were. There. Our waitress ran her a** off all night. She gets bonus points for all the hard work she put in and slow service due to lack of staff is not her fault. She was super nice and helpful and we’d be happy to have her again even with the slower service. Giving it four-stars because the staff worked so hard and was super pleasant, even though they knew it was slow — again, no fault of theirs. Will absolutely go there next time we are in the area.

What a disaster of a dinner! Too many people not enough waitresses. Receiving our salads and pizza on paper bowls and paper plates was interesting! We ordered two salads and a loaded pizza. All was edible but not great. then we ordered one dessert to share. It was suppose to be a brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream. When we received it there was a warm brownie with whipped cream on it no ice cream! The waitress was so busy we could not get her attention so we just ate it. When she came with the bill I told her my Ice cream brownie sundae has no ice cream! Her comment was was I told him vanilla ice cream. No apology or anything. She did not take it off the bill or lower the price! What a poor waitress who got a poor tip from us!

The food wasn’t bad, but the service was. It took quite a while before a waitress came over and took our drink order. I ordered a glass of wine and a water; she didn’t bring the water over initially, so I asked again very politely. It never came and my husband’s water glass sat waiting to be refilled the whole time. She slammed our food down and rushed away from our table without asking if we needed anything. She never checked in on us. I understand they were busy, but the service was really unacceptable. I felt like we were inconveniencing her by being there. Our experience wasn’t great, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Very good hole in the wall pub in Jackson NH. The drinks are reasonable and the food is ok for a hole in the wall. The atmosphere is fun for a group of friends looking to grab a few drinks. Worth stopping by late in the evening.

We(wife, daughter, and myself) went here for dinner after a full day at nearby StoryLand. Let me start off by saying“watch out for the front bumper of your car, when pulling in”. The driveway has a very steep incline from the road. After parking, we walked in and the first thing you see is the«Seat Yourself» sign. We found a table immediately… Just good timing I guess. Because after that you have people walking and looking around for seating, along with checking out your table and trying to guess to themselves when you’re going to be done. We were greeted by our server in a few minutes, who took out drink order and the other 12 people from 3 tables that must have also just recently sat down. Drinks arrived shortly thereafter, our server then took our order; Chicken Finger Basket w/Fries, Kid’s Spaghetti & Meatball, and Shepherd’s Pie. When our meals arrived it was really just average. The Chicken Fingers were a little overdone, the Spaghetti was just OK, and the Shepherd’s Pie was actually boring. Not a lot of flavor. The menu mentioned it was«Irish pub recipe from the Oulde Sod»… I guess I was hoping for more. We will not be going back, but that is just us. If you are looking for an average meal and are able to get in and find seat right away, then give them a try.

my past experiences have been great there, but this was not as great. Barely ever saw our waiter. Great food, live music. Crowded ambiance, and bar-like.

Stopped in here for a pre-massage snack and ordered their jalapeño poppers and chicken fingers at the bar. The restaurant had just opened so our orders came right out hot and fresh. Both appetizers definitely hit the spot; nice and crunchy and my poppers were perfectly gooey and cheesy. The bartender was very friendly and even topped off our Gimlets with the extra he still had from the mixer. This is great neighborhood find and one of the only restaurants in the area that’s opened before 5pm.

We are up for a little mini-weekend getaway and were looking for someplace new to try, and that was close to where we’re staying. I checked out restaurants here on Unilocal and a couple other sites, and kept coming back to the reviews for The Shannon Door Pub. The recommendations I read about the place didn’t let us down. We got there around 8pm on a Saturday night and the place was hopping. We could hear some great music and singing as we walked up to the door and we could smell great things being cooked too. We sat in the bar area, had a great waitress serving us — super pleasant and very quick and efficient, not just for us, for all the tables she was waiting on. The other waitresses seemed to be working the same way — always nice to see! Based on the reviews we read, we ordered pizzas, and they were delicious! We also thoroughly enjoyed the music and singing too, as did the other patrons. Many joined in the singing and it was great fun. We’d definitely go back, for the food and the live music. Thanks to all who wrote the recommendations and reviews we read that caused us to choose The Shannon Door for dinner last night!

I came up to Jackson in late March for a post-wedding Minimoon. I stayed across the street at the Inn at Ellis River and walked across the street to the Shannon for the two nights we were in town. The food was decent. I got the steak tips the first night, and they were quite well done. The second night I got the gluten-free pizza, which was also quite good. I don’t recall what my wife got the first night, but the second night she found her pizza to be very greasy. All in all, decent casual food, but nothing special.
