Great atmosphere awesome service. Great service, BETSY is the best! She explained the different wines and was able to suggest the perfect wines for our palate. This is definitely one of the stop to make when doing a wine tour.

Every Vineyard has it’s own personality. At Jason’s Vineyard, it’s «let your hair down and just be yourself». I like the lack of pretense and fan fare. The wine is fine and the whole place just invites a good time. What’s not to Like?

I agree with DJ on his review. I think I had the same lady. Short, older, greying hair. She was so nasty. I asked her if I could see the label of wine and she stood back about 5 feet from me and when I told her I couldn’t see it, she slammed the bottle down in front of me. The Australian lady was friendly. I assume she is Jason’s fiancé that is mentioned in one of the wines. Just because I came on a bus does NOT mean that I don’t know my wines. It was my first time out to LI and I expected the wine pourers to explain the varietals, aging process, etc… They did not deliver. They should not agree to be a wine tour destination for buses if they don’t have an educated staff. None of the wine we tasted here was worth buying. They all seemed to fall flat where key notes should have been delivered. This vineyard seems like somebody’s hobby.

Cute vineyard with a great view. The wine selection was great and the service of the staff was excellent. I was with a large group and we came early, grabbed some tables, and sat, drank, and listened to music. The place was great! I will definitely come back!

Had a fantastic groupon to go here, absolutely loved it! Not the biggest vineyard on the north fork but damn near the best. Had some really great varieties.

I was very disappointed with this vineyard. Our group was supposed to be served lunch when we got there. We visited 2 other vineyards before this and had been drinking our share of wine. Everyone was hungry and expecting to be fed. We got there around 2 pm and they said all of the lunch was gone. They offered to sell us cheese and crackers at an exorbitant price. There were about 50 people in our party that will never return. The Vineyard that impressed me the most was the Osprey, it is a must visit.

Went for a tasting and it was soooo hot inside with only a fan going. The tasting room is pretty big for just a fan. The person working there was all alone on a friday afternoon of memorial day. I realize its not a saturday but one person? I was melting! My husband paid for the tasting we shared since I drove and didnt want to taste one of my own and she called him a cheapskate when he paid the bill

This was truly the worst vineyard I’ve ever visited. From the second you walked in, it smelled like cigarettes and mildew. The glasses smelled the same and the wines were practically undrinkable. My sister and I are NOT picky drinkers… they were truly awful. We didn’t even drink our free glass of wine. The service was good, so there are no complaints on that end. It was embarrassing because the server was so nice, we had to practically sneak out without drinking our wine, because we felt guilty!

Not coming here again, could be satisfactory but one of the workers was rude and difficult to speak to. Made my experience miserable. No thanks. Good: –The cover band was nice –The llamas farm was cool Bad: –I did not get her name, but there was a shorter, older woman was RUDE –Seeking her out for the next tasting felt like panhandling for something I purchased already –I asked this lady to wipe down the one free table I found because it was dirty and she was acting as if she was doing me the favor –Again this lady just made things awkward for my friends visiting from out of town, I can’t stress how irritable she was –I tried my friend’s port wine and it tasted like cough syrup

Really enjoyed this themed vineyard. For non wine lovers, they also have a great beer on tap. Some VERY sweet wines, a larger selection than most vineyards.

WOW! This may be a biased review due the fact that we had a once in a lifetime experience during our visit. To start we came here with an excellent Groupon that we purchased for 2 tastings, a cheese and cracker platter, and a full glass for each of us for only $ 26. The wine selection was nice and to our surprise we liked some of their whites better than the reds, as we are strict red drinkers. The atmosphere is more that of a bar than a traditional quite, refined, and some times uncomfortable vineyard tasting room. The server was Betsy, a very outgoing, fun, and most important, dedicated employee. Here’s where this visit rocketed past anything I’ve ever Unilocaled before. Two ours before our arrival a baby lamb was born. Andi or Andy(not sure yet) was adorable. We first saw her in the field from a distance which was amazing enough to see at only two hours old. Then when Betsy, dedicated Betsy, decided it was time to take the lamb home for the night because it wasn’t eating we were granted the opportunity to help feed and care for it until closing time. This lamb was so new it could hardly stand and needed a lot if encouragement to finish the bottle we fed it. Betsy will take it home, every night and bring it back in the morning until it is ready to be back out on its own, and this is not her first time. Great Job Betsy, your a special woman and we are now customers for life. Thank you.

Jason’s Vineyard is a good stop on the way out east. We had a Groupon for a VIP wine tasting for 2 which we used. We were given a paper plate with a wrapped piece of cheese(saran wrapped — weird) and some ritz crackers again, saran wrapped. We noticed on the shelf they are selling one sleeve of ritz crackers for $ 3. Anyway, on to the actual tasting part. The whites are pretty decent, golden fleece is good if you like a sweeter wine. Hercules is a decent table wine and the rose was also good. Did not care too much for anything else other than the port wine which was like candy.

Before I review, DONOTCOMEHEREON A SATURDAY! Especially if you have a groupon. You will not get the real vineyard wine tasting experience. It’s beyond crowded. That said, the staff definitely hustles. Plus, if you get a groupon, you get cheese and crackers. The wines are delicious, and there’s a live band on the weekends. You should come here on the week days, rather than the weekends.

This winery was the most disappointing of the five we visited during our weekend on the North Fork. We came here as part of a wine tour and our lunch was delivered here. From the outside it looks like a nice enough place, with a large patio and outdoor space, and of course the adorable alpacas(who disappointingly don’t seem to love all the wine drunk oglers!). We did not enjoy our experience inside though… the wines were a bummer to everyone in our group. I don’t consider us to be very picky at all but the quality seemed poor in comparison to the other wineries we visited. The system was a bit strange too, for the tasting you get tickets or tokens to get your tasting wines. You then have to fight the crowds at one of the bars and it seemed like a chaotic system to be moving around each time you want a taste or trying to carry your five tasting samples at once. Perhaps we visited on an off day, but if you do come here on a weekend, plan for large crowds and a bit of chaos! The alpacas are cute though :)

My friend and I visited this vineyard and we had a great time. The vineyard wasn’t crowded and we were able to enjoy the grounds without bumping into other people. The weather was beautiful and the greenery and country feel outdoors was beautiful. OK, yes I am a city girl so it was great to see land, grass and not big buildings everywhere. LOL We were part of a bus ride day trip to the Long Island North Fork area to different wineries. We enjoyed the sheep outside and also noticed they had an area for you to eat and drink at the picnic tables which was cool. There was also some live music available for you to enjoy and sip at your leisure. The wines were just okay and nothing stood out for me to want to purchase a bottle. The wine tasting area was fairly big with sufficient space for you not to be literally on top of other customers like some other wineries I’ve visited. The staff were cool and welcoming and its definitely a cool place to check out if you’re in the area.

Jason’s was great! We went to Sherwood Vineyards first, which was very calm and peaceful; Jason’s was a bit more raucous and noisy, but in a fun, sunny summer afternoon way. There was a great guitarist playing Beatles songs and lots of people outside on the deck enjoying the day. We also went strolling through the vineyards, which was a cool experience. Wine-wise, I enjoyed the whites better, the roses I tried were a bit sweet for my taste. Highly recommend a trip to Jason’s if you’re in the North Fork.

If you’re looking for a place to hang out and relax with some wine and lunch on a nice day, Jason’s Vineyard is not a bad place. They have outdoor tables, you can bring your own lunch… and they sell wine. It’s awesome that they have animals here… alpacas(I think), and sheep. However, if you want tasty wine, you will likely be disappointed. I tasted the Golden Fleece, Chardonnay, Rose, and Carbernet Sauvignon, and was surprised that I did not enjoy any one of them.

Visited here over the weekend on a pre-arranged tour. Received tickets for tastings, outside pours were short, inside pours were generous. Found two decent wines, but upon seeing the price decided to only purchase one. Today I go online only to see that the same bottle that is sold for $ 28.95 at the vineyard is listed at $ 22.95 on their site, the 2006 Dessert Wine. This just made me feel like I was blindly robbed, why charge more to those that make the trek out to you to visit and enjoy and spend their money at your vineyard? I will certainly not be back, the owners girlfriend/fiancée Andi was pleasant and an extremely good host, but that is simply not good enough.

Jason’s Vineyard what a beautiful place. I came here on a Friday afternoon and had a lovely time. Perfect way to keep celebrating my birthday thanks to my best friend. I had four wine tastings, crackers and cheddar cheese, and one full glass of Riesling. Riesling was my favorite but the others were also great. I had Golden Fleece, Malbec, Dessert wine, and the Riesling. I even got to take a souvenir glass home which I loved. There was live music and I loved when the singer performed an Ed Sheeran song live! The animals added the perfect touch to the vineyard, and so did the Gazebo. It was pretty perfect. I’m a fan!

Good price and great service. Glad we stopped back in here. At $ 10 for 5 tastings it’s a good value and the owner through in another one for us as well.
