I love this place. It’s not just for ice cream. The staff is great and the food is always good. I’ve gotten a number of breakfast and lunch items on their menu and have never been disappointed. When my parents come to town, they eat here several times a week. There are classic and unusual items on the menu. And their egg sandwich(using eggs from the local farm right down the road) is the best!!!

Decent ice cream if you are on North Main in Jamestown, however Narragansett Ave has better options so if you are in that area don’t go out of your way to get here. There is plenty of seating, the ice cream is not homemade but decent. Pricing is a little expensive– $ 3.25 for a small cone. The BEST deal: $ 3.85 for decent sundae with caramel/choc sauce, sprinkles/nuts, whipped cream and cherry Good for convenience if you are within walking distance– but there are better options closer to the water

After a disappointing trip out to Beavertail(it started to rain) I decided to take my boys out for ice cream. After a quick Unilocal search I came up with The Island Scoop. When we got there I noticed a sign for Bliss Ice Cream. I briefly considered trying a different place for«homemade» ice cream but I remembered that Bliss is a local dairy so that’s pretty darn close. I noticed that they had quite a few flavors, all the standards and a few unique ones. They had a couple frozen yogurts and one no-sugar-added. Unfortunately they were out of the boys’ favorite Mint Chocolate Chip but this just forced them to venture out of their comfort zone to try Cotton Candy. I tried the Graham Central Station. Oddly enough it was not raining in this spot on the island so we ate our cones outside on the clean picnic tables. It was tasty stop on our way home.

Stopped for breakfast. Had an egg sandwich, which i NEVER get anywhere, but thought I would give it a shot. I asked for the egg to be scrambled and dry. It came with bacon and I added caramelized onions. Lots of breads to choose from, I got the asiago cheese bagel. OMG… it was soooooooooooo good, I went back the next day on my way out of town, and got another. This is such a nice little place and about the only place you can get a good breakfast in Jamestown at a reasonable price. Sandwiches in the afternoon and they are also open for Ice cream.

I went to island scoop with low expectations, to be pleasantly surprised. Good ice cream and the highlight for me was the ham and Swiss cheese panini. Came with an apple and caramelized onion chutney was phenomenal. Will definitely be going back

Screaming on an island I like to scream, I do it all year long but scream the most in the summer and especially enjoy screaming near the ocean. Always makes me feel good. The Island Scoop is a new scream place that just opened on the island of Jamestown and is guaranteed to make a lot of people scream this summer. The island has a few other fine scream shops but they are frequently very crowded and on the east side of the island or center of town. The Island Scoop fills the void for a place to scream on the west side. A very convenient place to stop and replace all those calories you worked so hard to burn off while biking around the island The shop is still new and hasn’t quite been finished. A sign said that it will also sell fudge and candy and although I did see some candy jars filled with treats it’s obvious that that part of the establishment still is in progress. But I don’t stop for candy or fudge, I stop for scream. They didn’t have a whole lot of flavors compared to some places on the mainland but the vanilla, chocolate, coffee oreo, moose tracks, cookie dough, cotton candy, peppermint patty, purple cow and a few others were enough to satisfy any scream urges. They also had some sherbet and a bit of fro-yo, but only only flavor that I could see. That’s all right, didn’t want fro-yo anyways, I stopped for scream. Perhaps once they get really going the menu of treats will expand. One of the best parts of the whole experience is being able to take your scream outside and greedily devour it while sitting on the cool porch. No ocean view from here but still a very nice place to consume your profligate and unnecessary calories while talking to other screamers and watching the world go by. It’s always nice to scream but especially nice to scream on a cool island.
