When evaluating reviews, note date. They have a new menu(6⁄16) and have dropped all the ‘bar food.‘ Used to have the best chicken quesadilla around, mini-brats were delicious, as were several other items. Ribs were the best too, last time quite dry not much meat. It is safe to order beer or wine, what can go wrong there… But drinks i.e. martinis are watered down. Must teach them to «pour booze over ice, let sit.» Staff has changed too. The bar used to be packed full on a Friday for the entertainment, not now. We live here year-round and went there regularly, four to ten people at a time. (All) Would also take out of town visiting company at other times. NO more, we are not going back. We have too many other places in the area that are much better.

Very nice atmosphere. Was quiet this evening as we arrived after the rush. Food was excellent, and the only disappointment was that they had run out of «onion loafs» but the manager insisted on comping us something else and they ended up treating us to dessert. Great experience.

For a rib joint they sure serve mediocre ribs. Over cooked and dry, smothered in sweet BBQ sauce. Sides were OK. Location is good. Across the street from the Inland Waterway. Just can’t get past the mediocre ribs. I will not be returning.

This place is awesome especially if you’re just winding down from a day at the beach. I’ve always had a very positive impression of Tony Roma’s, never mind its up to date amenities and great location. Some nice guy came over after dinner and chatted with us about our experience last night. May have been the owner/mgr My bf swears on their ribs /dessert.

Today was my first time here, not impressed at all! I sat at the bar for a good 5 minutes before I was noticed. The bar area was relatively busy and I think they were changing shifts? I ordered the happy hour shrimp scampi It came with soup. I choose chicken something. Brian was my server. I didn’t care for the soup at all, it was in a thick red sauce, except for the cut up nachos on top. The shrimp scampi came. I order this dish often at other restaurants and its either in a clear sauce or an Alfredo sauce. This was a red sauce and a bit spicy. I took 2 bites and put my plate aside. Brian never came to ask me if everything was ok. I’m glad a ordered mashed potatoes on the side, they were good. When my plates were being cleared he asked me if I liked the soup, I told him no, he said he was sorry. Before that I asked for a to go container for the shrimp scampi(I took the rest home for my husband). A black man who was dressed nicely, came out of the kitchen and handed me a survey card for the scampi ONLY. He said they try to see how the food is and if it stays on the menu or not, so obviously he knew I didn’t like it. I wasn’t asked if I liked it or not and wasn’t approached to see if I wanted something else in instead or for me not to be charged for the meal. I don’t like that all the prices are not on the menu either. I ordered a desert to go, a cookie ice cream sandwich(came with a very TINY scoop of ice cream).

Awful place. First time we ate there slow service but food okay. We decided to try them again. We sat for twenty minutes before taking drink order. Another 10 before taking dinner order. 30 minutes later we inquired about order since waitress disappeared. Manager rude and unapolgetic. Wow. Then another waitress walked by and said I can’t believe people are so rude. Wow. Then table next to us, who arrived thirty minutes after us got served their food. Wow. So we walked out after an hour and a half of waiting. Needless to say we gave them two chances and they got worse. They have a rude manager whomis training employees to be rude

Great Place. My husband and I sat at the bar. Brian was our bartender. He took care of us from drinks to dinner. He has a great personality and made our evening enjoyable. The piano player was great too.

Well, it looks like I am going to add another one star to this restaurant’s already long and continually growing list of very poor reviews. Ten of us, friends and family, decided to celebrate a birthday at this location. I will start from when, two of us arrived. Five o’clock on a Sunday not many people there, we see another group member sitting in the bar waiting. We join him and are asked by the server, if we would like something to drink my partner asks how old of a scotch do you carry. The server responds with, «I don’t know I just started working here.» She turns says I’ll get you a Dewar’s and walks away. Really??? How about finding out the different Scotches and ages and then letting us decide? I leaned in and said that this is a bad omen since many of the people we work with will not return after eating here one time. Within fifteen minutes we are all seated and getting service. Our server was green and should not have been on the floor but it seems like this is the going rate for this restaurant… no trained staff anywhere. She brought out wrong drinks for some of us. She sold us on Shrimp Corn Chowder. Now remember it is 5:30 pm on a Sunday evening, not many table being served. She returns to the table to inform us they ran out of the chowder. How? You just pushed us on how great this was. You mean to tell me the staff did not know they were out of what they were serving? So onto the soups they did have. We place an appetizer order and then the food order. Apps come, yet our table never received bread as all other tables were, and then the waiting game started. By 6:30 a manager had stopped by the table and apologized to us for not having dinner out yet and informed us that dessert was on him. We never even complained that we had not received our meals yet. Now when 7:00 rolled around and we still did not have dinner we said something. We were assured our meals were on there way, when they did arrive some were wrong. Everyone’s except for one dinner came out. The kitchen misplaced his meal was the excuse. Really how did you misplace a meal? I forgot to mention meals came out cold. The server mentioned that she had decided to hold all meals until everyone’s was ready so that they could come out at once. I don’t know how this place cooks but it must be one meal at a time. Cut bag, heat meal, place on plate. We were all finished by the time the last dinner came out… with the wrong sides. So we entertained until he was finished. Then the server asked about dessert. She sold everyone on the Brownie. She returns to tell us they were out of the brownie dessert. WHAT!!! Another sell out in a nearly empty restaurant??? Poor management and staff. Very poor. So we choose other desserts. What happened next was very odd… She brought desserts out en masse and said I just decided to bring all of your dessert out together and you could pick and choose. I don’t get it. We ordered specific desserts and next thing you know we are all trying to figure who got what when our server turned this into a free for all. Why didn’t we have our desserts plated per person like normal restaurants? It was a cattle trough of a disaster. There were more desserts on the table then ordered and some of our ordered desserts never made it out. So we said something. A few minutes and the manager is there handing out ten dollar and fifteen dollar coupons for dinner to help with the pain of dinner. Strange. By the time we were trying to pay and being told some could not use coupons on this meal some of us realized we were paying full price with no discount as was promised. Bait and switch??? Hmmmmm? Our ticket came out to $ 35.00 I gave her $ 45.00 in gift cards and the ticket she returned said I owed $ 24.00…what kind of a ripoff cash register system do they run??? She told me never mind someone made a mistake. That was some mistake to send out to a table that may not have noticed. Remember the member that received his meal late and wrong? He was promised, by the manager, that his meal was on the house. He would turn out to pay a $ 51.00 bill and they took his coupon never to give him credit. So when we pointed it out to our server she explained she did not know what happened and that she would fix it. Our friend explained to her that he was finished with this mess of a restaurant and just wanted out and to not worry about it. WHAT A DISASTER! BEWARE, BEWARE!!! Eat here at your own risk. PS: I called the corporate office had to leave a message and have never received a return phone call. Go figure!

Had a full rack of ribs. They were thin and over cooked. Usually have a good experience at Tony Roma’s but yesterday left a lot to be desired.

Went there yesterday on the 20th at 9:15 waited and waited for someone to seat us! no one in the front no hostess no waiter at 9:25 pm we decided to wait no longer and left .was a waste of time and this isn’t the first time this happened .I don’t like or even have time to write reviews but its ridiculous to stand to be seated and no one there! PS if its your birthday they don’t sing wish you a happy birthday song like soo many other restaurants do. last month it’s was our 10 yrs old daughters birthday and they refused to wish her happy birthday. worst experience ever. plus the food is not always consistent and not worth it.

Can’t miss with the bar menu. $ 9. Bucks for good shrimp scampi is a no brainier, shrimp tacos are good and the spicy shrimps in a martini glass are good. The ceaser or house salad is nice size and comes with the scampi. Drink prices at happy hour are very reasonable. Gets a little crazy around 6:00. Piano guy is not really good but some of the regulars like him.

I went in on a Thursday evening, had good service, the food was great, the staff was very friendly and the slender, blonde, female manager on duty was quite attractive, so that was an added bonus! I enjoyed my steak, and the bacon macaroni and cheese was very good. I have noticed that Unilocal does not approve any of my recommendations/ads, so this will probably be buried under the not recommended portion and no one will ever see it! I guess they do not believe I am a real person, but how would I know the manager on duty was blonde and attractive if I didn’t actually go?!

My husband and I stopped in here this evening and were seated right away. The dining room was empty except for one table. There was a DJ/karaōke going on in the bar area that was extremely loud. I could barely have a conversation. I’m not sure if it was the noise or absentmindedness, but our waitress forgot to put in our appetizer order and ended up just bringing out our entrees. Our food didn’t take long, but we were kind of annoyed by the noise level in the bar so we decided not to say anything about the missed appetizer. The food was good, and hot. I was pretty disappointed though, I’ve been to other Tony Roma’s where the ambiance was much better.

Service took forever. My first margarita had a chip of glass in it and it took the manager until the check came out to do a ‘table touch.’ My grilled peach salad had canned peaches, and onions were the only vegetables other than the romaine. Unfortunately, our server was having a bad night: forgot to bring out silverware, app plates, told me the wrong soup of the day so brought out the other and promised it would be free yet it was still on the bill. Charged my boyfriend for each seltzer water rather than unlimited. Bad experience.

I usually wait to write my reviews, so that I have visited the establishment a number of times. I have been here about 6 times now and have never had a bad experience in any way. The food is always fantastic, hot, and delicious. We always order off the bar menu because as a teacher it’s affordable. Shrimp tacos, 6 Oz sirloin dinner, chicken quesadillas, and fried pickles are just a few of the items we’ve ordered and devoured. Whether we have sat at the bar or high top table the service has been stellar every time. If I am honest, we went for first time during a rush and it was a bit loud between the chatter of patrons and the piano player. Please bring back your warm chips you served when greeted at the bar! Craving them so bad. They were a big reason we loved going. It was our guilty cheat/pleasure for sure!

Wow! A lot of bad reviews. I can understand why. I like beef ribs and have ordered them at Tony Roma’s locations all over the country. Every other time I received a rack of reasonably tasty beef ribs. But at Jensen Beach Tony Roma’s I received some sort of overcooked, very salty meat just sitting on top of a bone. Not only that, it had gravy on top rather than BBQ sauce. Aren’t franchises supposed to have consistency between different locations? The restaurant was clean and the staff was efficient and friendly, but I was very disappointed in these so-called beef ribs. My dog ended up getting an $ 18 dinner.

Against my better judgment, we returned on Thursday night, October 3 for dinner at Jensen BeachTony Roma’s using gift certificates. It’s a sorry day when you are saying to your partner before you go into a restaurant, «This probably will not be good.» When we walked in we both noticed a strong odor that I can only describe, unfortunately, as nursing home. I’m not hating on our older folk because yes, I’m quickly headed there myself. The last few times(I must be a glutton for punishment) the restaurant smelled of a strong, unpleasant cleaner. Now it smelled like urine and the nasty cleaner. ugh. Now I’m thinking, why doesn’t a dinnertime, busy restaurant that serves steaks and ribs, smell like something tasty? such as savory food? When I merely toast bread my home smells like it’s on fire. Nevertheless, we stayed and were waited on by a brand new server that I assume hasn’t been jaded yet. Very friendly and tried to be accommodating. But nothing can make up for poor quality food. Again for the third visit to this restaurant, the dinner salad was the best thing about the meal. The bread was bland as usual. We asked for real butter. It tasted like lard. Because I expressed a desire for some sort of steak, the server recommended the filet mignon medallions. I remembered after I ordered them that the one time I ordered them before they were flavorless. I hoped this time might be different. hahaha. Even though cooked medium, they had very little flavor. The only thing with flavor was the wild mushroom topping. The accompanying loaded potatoes were ugly, runny and lumpy. It’s a sad day when you have two people that don’t want to finish three little pieces of steak. As if I couldn’t be more naïve(hopeful?), I asked the server if any of the desserts were made on premise(versus shipped in/frozen). She said the cookies dessert and the cobbler. I ordered dessert of the fruitless cobbler that was supposed to contain peaches and berries. Well, at least the picture of the cobbler looked like that. hahaha. It came to the table with a bluish substance stained on the side.(Fruit microwaved to vapor maybe?) She suggested we be careful, that it was very hot. It was rock hard on top and basically a thick layer of too sweet topping and maybe one teeny tiny piece of fruit. $ 7. And to boot, it was served with a dirty spoon. We asked that it be taken off our bill of $ 60. She said she would tell a manager about it. A manager never showed up. My friend told me yesterday that many years ago, in Miami, Tony Roma’s was the place to go to have dinner. She said she won’t go to the Jensen Beach Tony Roma’s anymore either. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. No one with functioning taste buds can describe this as good food. Does Tony Roma’s want people questioning their own judgment about how food should taste? Must one be influenced by several alcoholic beverages and not care how their food tastes? Surely Tony Roma’s does not want to be the one hit wonder of the restaurant world. Deep clean the place; hire conscientious managers and helpful servers. Contract for tastier cuts of meat; better quality sides. I think you can. Success means happy, returning customers established to share the good news of tasty food.
