Color me unimpressed. I’d been wanting to try Cheese Boy for a while, they’re few and far between in Connecticut unless one likes lurking in rest stops along I95. Don’t get me wrong, the sandwich was good, but I was expecting more.(I had the roast beef one) The horseradish though was friggin awesome. They were SUUUUUUUUPER slow, which I kind of get when your sammich is being made fresh, but considering I was literally the only person it seemed a little too long. A drink, chips and sandwich set me back about $ 7.50, not terrible but not great either.

Ever since my office moved to Newport Tower I’ve been coming to the mall for lunch much more often. I quickly got tired of all the Chicken Teriyaki equivalents around the food court and thought would give this place a try. It was a decent sandwich to be honest but I thought it was too much cheese. Maybe I should try the classic grilled cheese next time since I thought they just added too much toppings with the Chicken that I had. But it was still a good choice though since pretty unique compare to the other selections at the food court. Price was definitely very reasonable their sandwiches are usually around $ 6 – 7 I believe… I would say its a decent choice at the mall food court :-)

Exactly what you’d expect from a very good Basic Grilled Cheese, and the mac and cheese was similarly in line with what I anticipated. The bread was golden and well-crisped, the cheese was gooey and meltey. They should sell tomato soup.

Great grilled sandwiches, and soups. All the staff that works there are super nice and carry a smile, except this one older black lady that seemed to be having a very bad day, and a horrible attitude all around.

Not incredibly sold yet, but I know my fellow Unilocalers wouldn’t let me down. I think I just made a poor choice of multigrain bread and swiss… swiss is not a good choice. It doesn’t melt well. Their tomato soup was tasty and I would get it again. Like Bloss pointed out… it is really hard to get pulled away from the Indian food stands. I think next time I shall try the tomato basil sandwich that is being raved about!

At Unilocal Mana Event Cheeseboy stole the show. Right next to the Movie Theater sits Cheeseboy Stand. Ordered the Tomato Basil, very delicious. The bread toasted to perfection. You can also add turkey if you like to the sandwich. But i like to keep it Cheesy adding more cheese. Is it me or their Logo resembles the White Castles logo.

I first tried the delicousness at the Unilocal Mana event and was thoroughly impressed! It was amazing that something as simple as a grilled cheese could be made into something that seemed so refined to my tastebuds! This review is for this location at the food court in the mall and my experiences there alone. They have only bottled sodas… which is okay, but I prefer the fountain(free refills! hello!). The tomato basil sandwich is my favorite and I also like the tomato soup(campbell’s). My only complaint is that they hide their spoons! You have to ask! Then, one fellow who works on the serving end had a terrible attitude problem when you ask her for a spoon. Sir, I would like to eat my soup please! Bottom line: food = pretty darn good! service = mediocre

It takes a big temptation to pull me away from the 2 Indian food stands or Taco Bell at the food court, but I wanted to give this grilled cheese place a try since I saw it raved about in the reviews for the Artoberfest party. I’ve been burned by grilled cheese in the past(Gorilla Cheese Truck!) but not here. I went with the Tomato Basil Classic for just under 4 bucks. The sandwich was large and the flavor balance between the basil, cheese, and tomato was spot on. I had to wait between 5 – 10 minutes for the sandwich which was annoying at the time, but I was happy when I took my first bite because the sandwich was perfectly grilled. Will definitely be back to try a sandwich with the tomato soup when I have more time.

Yes, Cheeseboy is a kiosk in a mall food court, but they make some of the tastiest grilled cheese sandwiches around. Try the one with sharp cheddar for a different taste. Add a tomato soup and you won’t be disappointed. This place is much, much better than you expect. I tend not to publicly review restaurants in food courts, but this one deserves the thumbs up.

Great(semi-new) food option in the mall! After trying it first at a Unilocal event, I was hooked! Like: thinking about it often when I was nowhere near the mall and finding an excuse to go! The tomato-basil grilled cheese sandwich is ooey-gooey yummyness and ooh– don’t you dare dip it in their tomato soup!!! Too good for words…

Few words to describe ChesseBoy — Yummy — Delicious — Addictive — Foodie Delight I am a complete fan of this place, the sandwiches are damm awesome tasty specially the one with tomato and basil. The soup also is really tasty. I wish they served bigger version of their sandwiches!

After roaming around the food court for awhile I was about to give up until I saw the Cheese Boy stand(in front of Panda Express). It’s a simple menu and I opted to make my own sandwich vs. the preset options(which looked good as well). It’s amazing how crispy the bread is almost like a crème brûlée crust and the inside has a delicious melty center of cheese! It’s a great addition to the food court, definitely would go back for more.
