Place is a deli? They sell wine and a few other grocery items. Disappointed the past two times me and a co worker have been. Pizza was terrible. Had two pies made the one day we went in. I got a plain slice and he got a buffalo chicken. We orders and while we were waiting one of the workers came out from back and decided he would adjust the chicken on the buffalo pie with no gloves on.‘it was totally a health violation and a turn off to us. That is a no! Have it another try with a chicken sandwhich. Bread was stale and I did not feel well after. Microwaved and not sure how fresh lettuce was. Chicken was questionable. Sorry there are better places Around. This one is not one I would ever return to

My dear friend moved out of the Boogie Down this year, from renting to owning his own home in Jersey City. He invited me over this summer to enjoy the pool. No sand? Check. No annoying kids? Check. No ugly people? *crickets chirping* Plenty of sun? Check. With a late start, I needed to grab a bite to eat. I walk into Port Side and order two sandwiches. Time for a drink, so I walk over to the back. I notice Ommegang Three Philsophers, Kronenbourg 1664, Blue Point Brewing Company Blueberry Ale and many other oddities. What are these, you ignorant Heineken and Corona drinkers? I’ll take«Beer You Would Never Find In A Bodega» for 500, Alex. I am not a beer snob, but I’m no idiot either. This place has an interesting collection of beer. I was so distracted, I didn’t look at the wines. I walked out with an egg salad sandwich and a turkey sandwich and enjoyed them both(wife had a couple of bites). It was nice to catch some sun at poolside. *sigh* I miss the summer. There is no indoor seating but Port Side is clean and an upgrade from my usual fare. IFHTP2

The only reason I come here everyday is because I work in the same building, and its just convenient to go downstairs to get something from here. Otherwise I would never come here. For minor stuff, like a bottle of soda and a bag of chips, they’re okay. They tend to run out of stuff in a hurry, so the cookie shelf, for example, will be empty for a day or two. Their liquor collection is actually quite good. However, the way its set up, and the whole store in fact, is not good. They used to have the liquor section separate from the deli section, and that was great. It was always neatly arranged and there was no traffic. Now that the liquor and deli parts are combined, its hard to get a bottle of wine without bumping into the laundry detergent bottles on the floor. as for the food itself, its hit and miss. I do love my chicken club sandwich, because the dude makes it just right for me. The rest of the food is either take it or leave it. Today I had a bagel with creamcheese. The bagel wasn’t toasted enough, and the creamcheese tasted like my sock. And what is it with places not having toasters anymore? They all have those panini devices now, so most of the time your bread or bagel isn’t toasted thoroughly, if at all. if you live in the area, this is a perfect place to pick up stuff here and there. if you want a good meal, just order out. There’s always a bunch of delivery dudes here. and Fresh Direct delivers here now so no need to goto Pathmark or Shop Rite.
