ENOUGHISENOUGH! It is with great disappointment that I have decided to end my association with this business. I have been a faithful customer for over a year and have noticed a continued decline in the quality of the food and service. Unfortunately, I can no longer accept this level of sloppiness and disregard for customers. Deuces!

I was craving authentic Greek food and was very disappointed by their menu. First off, they had a meat that I didn’t recognize. It turned out to be Italian sausage(first warning sign). I went on a limb and asked for any dish with zucchini(such as fritters) or eggplant(such as salad). No luck. I can understand them not having tomato keftedes(I was craving this Santorini appetizer) but no tzatziki??? Also, their gyro meat is 80% beef and 20% lamb. Beyond the popular gyro, I was relieved they have spanakopita, at least. The fried outer layer was not what I expected(phyllo flakes) but the spinach and cheese stuffing was admittedly savory. I would not come here if I was looking for an authentic Greek experience. Apparently the owners of the chain aren’t even Greek.

Food is very good, $/4 pricewise, service was friendly and fast. Went during lunchtime rush and it still was good and fast. Had the gyro wrap-delicious with just enough sauce and great tasting, baklava-good Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again

Go greek! Once a week! WESUREDID! And we love it! Best gyro we’ve ever had. I’ve been to six other greek restaurants in town repeatedly, but this place takes the prize for best taste. So why four stars? Two minor things: Order and cleanliness, and staff. Obviously, none of those concerns had kept us from coming once a week. Order and cleanliness: I don’t require fine dinning levels of cleanliness and order, but it took them probably two months to replace a couple of worn out light bulb hanging over right on the counter where people come and order. The cleanliness is sometimes fastfood clean. Sometimes it’s very clean, but sometimes, it’s not. But when the only customer was us on a slow 3pm afternoon, I kinda expected more. Staff: Generally friendly and courteous, but sometimes direct and abrupt. Not a deterrent for me. Everybody has bad days. But if you’re a grown up, learn to act like a gown up and suck it up. I just came hear to eat your fabulous food. But I understand not all people are the same. So I just let it pass. Overall, this place is a staple for me. Go greek once a week? Yes!

I’m sorry to say that I will have to agree with Richard from a previous review. I stop by there to get takeout, I haven’t been there in over a year and when I walked in I thought must have new owners because the restaurant was quite dirty. The gyro was okay but I agree it needed lettuce tomato feta and I was quite disappointed that they didn’t include the traditional tzatziki. The Sauce that came with it tasted like store-bought Caesar salad dressing. I don’t know what happen? when this place first opened I thought it was really good. I won’t be back.

Grecian gyro is delicious. The best gyros, potatoes. Salad everything there. We have gone there for almost two years and everybody is so gracious and they want to make sure they do it right and if they don’t then they are happy to fix it.

May 14th, 2015 @ 7pm — I was sorely disappointed with my visit today considering the excellent Unilocal ratings. THESCENE First impressions matter and mine was not a good one! I could visibly see crumbs and spills on the floor when entering and at least half the tables were not properly wiped, still showing stains from previous customers meals. When I first walked in there was only one guy behind the counter. However, by the time he started to take my order two girls appeared from around back. The stainless steel order counter/sit down bar area was notably the filthiest and I seriously considered leaving because to me that is a sign of low standards, especially when it is directly in the staffs immediate eyesight and nothing is being done about. The two young girls behind the counter were far more interested in taking selfies and talking to their friends(that came in shortly after me) than taking a look around the restaurant for what needed to be done. There was a wet floor sign placed by the soda fountain, but apparently whom ever put out the sign didn’t find the time to mop. Some of the old spilled fountain drinks had already dried up and turned sticky. THEFOOD After paying almost $ 10 for a tiny gyro, barely warm Greek potatoes and a drink, I sat down only to find dry meat inside my sandwich. It was so dry the strips of meat were beginning to curl. I immediately brought it to the attention of the girl whom made my sandwich, but all I got was a puzzled look. Despite showing her the dry meat from my sandwich, she repeatedly insisted she’d «just got the meat from the warmer.» I understand you got it from the warmer, but it’s dry, probably from being in there too long. After she realized I wasn’t going to accept the sandwich she called the guy who originally greeted me over to look at it. He never acknowledged the meat was old, but proceeded to slice of some new pieces and put them on the grill. When I got my gyros the second time, it was a proper sized gyros and not tiny like the first. The meat was hot and juicy and the sauce was salty, but tasty. It was not your traditional Tzatziki, but instead a delicious and zesty(probably yogurt based) sauce that really enhanced the flavor of the gyro meat. They didn’t bother to replace the potatoes which at this point were completely cold, but I just didn’t feel like going back to the counter to complain yet again, so I let it pass. I would have really appreciated lettuce and feta cheese being offered with my gyro since it seemed a little naked. FINALTHOUGHTS Although I do believe it’s a great idea to give a restaurant several visits before writing a review, I also believe MOST people will not bother coming back to a restaurant that disappointed them on their very first visit. It’s too bad the standards of this particular crew were so low. Had I gotten a properly made sandwich from the start and not felt like I was watching a bad episode of Undercover Boss, it would have been a 4 star review for sure based on the taste of my remade gyro. However, some things during this visit were just unforgivable. The employees here had plenty of opportunity to walk the store and straighten things up, but instead they complained out loud about their work schedule for all to hear, joked with their friends and took selfies. What a sad, sad state of mind social media has placed on the workforce of our country. Too self-absorbed to even do our jobs properly. I get a feeling based on other reviews this is not how other shifts operate, so I will try to come back again at a different time. Maybe then the experience will be much different.

Very good for the price! I had the lamb gyro, which typically only comes with onions. But I asked for lettuce, tomato, and cucumber to be added, which made it messy to eat, but delicious! Also, it doesn’t come with tzatsiki sauce, which they don’t have. But they have some kind of dressing that’s close enough, for which you have to ask as well. All in all, a pretty decent place. I got my order to go, but their seating area isn’t anything spectacular. Almost like a little deli or pizza joint. They prepare their food at the counter. Very casual.

Have been here several times now. The food is consistently wonderful. We order the gyro wrap. You get a ton of meat on it and it the taste is awesome. Highly recommended.

I visit this location at least once a month. I have to say the food is consistent. The gyros are pretty good. Not so much of the«special» sauce seems to just be a butter based rich sauce. Quick and easy visit in and out in minutes.

This is a fast food Greek joint. Pretty consistent with their food selection. Always made fresh to order and the employees are helpful explaining their menu. Their inspection rating is phenomenal and the restaurant is very clean. Try it. You can’t go wrong if you like Mediterranean food.

Some people on here gave this place under 3 stars .that’s prob because those people ordered like a chicken salad from here lol I mean honestly if u go to a Greek restaurant like this .ur prob gunna chow on a gyro Not a salad lol Anyways the gyros are on point (maybe if u want more veggies on it… just stop wanting it cuz idk if there would be sufficient space in this yummy contraption for such blasphemy lolwth) Potato w sauce is homemade. N A+ Protip: don’t go to a gyro restaurant and order a chicken salad… I mean damn

We decided to come here last minute based off a recommendation from our bank and loved it! We ordered a chicken plate and gyro plate after asking what the man running the register suggested. Staff was very friendly and eager to talk about the restaurant with us. The food came out quickly and everything was extremely delicious! The owner brought us out a spanakopita that was to die for. We were so excited to finally find a great Greek place nearby. Definitely coming back!

We tried this place again(not sure why, were in the neighborhood and wanted to see if it got any better). The staff was all new and much better, a little more friendly. However, it was 12:30 on Wednesday afternoon and we had to wait an incredibly long time for them to cook all the chicken for our dishes(really, no chicken ready at lunch). We had one chicken platter and one pork souvlaki dish. Basically all crap. Nothing here resembled any greek food I have ever had(lived in NY, ate in numerous greek diners and have spent time in greece on three separate occasions). Meat was not marinated, no skewers, nothing… just dumped unceremoniously on the flat top steel grill and heated… till it reached temperature… we saw them fussing with the thermometer to make sure meat was at proper temperature. However, no seasoning on any meat… tasteless. Potatoes were somewhat interesting as they had all the seasoning… nothing else did. I recommend these guys take a trip to a NYC Greek Diner and ask them to teach them what greek food tastes like… OH, and $ 25 for too tasteless platters, me thinks not again(BTW, I would have spent much more if the food tasted good).

When I called to place my order, the employee didn’t seem too informed about their greek items. They didn’t know what nuts were in their baklava, they have tahini(not Taziki) sauce, etc. The food: Gyro plate: Good meat on a good pita wrapped with tahini and stringy tomato slices. Flavors were good. The salad was good too. The potatoes were good(never had those before). $ 10ish Dolmas– rice wrapped in marinated grape leaves. These were canned. Hummus– not the best. The tahini was better. Baklava– they came in a box, not house-made. Basically, it’s fast greek food. Prices and taste were ok. But I do recommend the gyro.

This place is good, cheap and relatively quick. I am up and down Medlock all the time, and this is one of the few valid, quick-casual concepts that draws me in. The Gyro and potatoes with seasoning are awesome. The Gyro is mainly meat, not a bunch of filler. Their house sauce is really good. They also get their baklava from one of the main greek places in the country I was told. The staff are always super friendly, and I like that they have started a rewards program. I come here once a month.

We ate lunch here today because of the ScoutMob, but I’m pretty sure we’ll be back soon. The place was empty when we arrived, but by the time we got our food, it was packed. This is fast food, done right. I had the gyro plate and she had the grilled chicken plate, with a side of falafel to share. Everything was fantastic! From the sauce on the potatoes to the gyro itself, I really enjoyed my meal. They could do two things to improve it, though; more feta cheese and kalamata olives on the salad and real plates & silverware. I hate to think that all that plastic just gets thrown away. Other than that, this was a very good meal. And the portions were huge! I think going Greek once a week is a good thing; you should try it.

I had the Scoutmob deal and have been on a Greek/Mediterranean kick so I visited Grecian Gyro to get lunch to-go. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed the place was pretty clean and they’ve got that open-kitchen concept like Moe’s. So this was definitely like a Greek fast food place. I decided on a greek salad with souvlaki. I chose the large salad which ended up being a little too much for me but they were definitely generous with the souvlaki. I was pretty happy with the souvlaki. I could tell it had been marinated before and when cooked, it wasn’t too hard to chew which can often happen at most places. My only complaint about the salad is that there was way too much dressing on it. Unlike most Greek places, there was no falafel. WTF — where’s the falafel?(Haha ok, maybe I thought I was being clever). This place is pretty basic with offerings, so I’d say it’s good place for lunch when you’re craving Greek. Just don’t expect falafel so I’m likely not to return unless I want to try their gyro.

So, as you are visiting your best friends’ mother in the hospital, it is polite to make sure she gets fed before everyone ditches her to get food of her own. The night I decided to visit her, was the night the doctor said she could change her diet. Well the doctor never signed off on it, so when we put the order in for her food, it took almost an hour.5. For someone who had been up for 18 hours on 3 hours sleep and nothing to eat, that was the longest 1.5 hours of my life. I was seriously contemplating rummaging through patients rooms and getting a quick bite to eat. Thankfully, we found out what took so long, and they finally found the doctor to sign off the food. After spending all that time, we decided to hell with the hospital cafeteria, we needed to eat something OUTSIDE of the hospital. So we decided to go a few blocks down the road off of Medlock Br– into Johns Creek Walk. I try to avoid Johns Creek at all costs(unless I am going to see my oldest sister, which unless I have a catapult — I must drive thru JC to get to Duluth) — so I am not very up to date on the stuff it has to offer. The area GG is located is a cool setup– I was kind of disappointed to not see more cars in the area. So we got to GG, and at the time, were the only customers. When I first walked in, I noticed the dark woods everywhere– and the shine on everything. Even the rotating heaters that held the sticks of meat. The menu seemed simple– so I stuck with the basics, and got 2 gyro wraps. I tell you what– one should have been enough. For the price, these things packed a punch! I was in a food coma after the second– but more on that in a second. After you order, they will bring the food to you– while you are enjoying on your Coke products. The anticipation was killing me– as the inside of my stomach must have been the size of a walnut shell. So the 2 gyros were almost a shock… I got them with the meat and sauce only. And honestly, thats all it needed– everything was seasoned well and definitely filling. I should have brought the other one home(I am starving as I write this). Everyone was was friendly, and the food came out quick, and people started to pour in shortly after we were eating– so that was a plus. Cheap, quick Greek in the neighborhood– a solid choice– especially if you need a breather from Emory John’s Creek!
