So excited reading fish sandwich description crispy fish on grilled bread topped with grilled onions. What arrived was limp fish on huge pieces of dry bread no sauce no butter just teaspoon full of onions certainly not on warm grilled bread. Go to mcdonalds for a fish sandwich. Plantains were quite good but they don’t make a lunch.

What a great find! The food was so good we went back 2x in the same week. Morros(rice and beans mix) was just like Cuban food in Miami. The churrasco was tender and flavorful but I don’t like chimichurro sauce so I can’t judge that. The bistec empanizado was delicious as was lechon asado. To top it off, the Cuban coffee was«perfecto» and the service was friendly — we even talked with the owner several times during our meal. If you want some really authentic good Cuban food… this is definitely your spot.

Good Cuban food! Thought when I left south Florida I left Cuban food behind, but the flavor a here were right on point, reminded me of my mothers home cooking! Will definitely be going back!

Solid Cuban food. We lived in Miami for 15 years and this place is competitive with almost all of those restaurants. I had the Picadillo… my wife had the Palamillo steak… both excellent. Great service. This will be our go to place for Cuban food in Atlanta now. Oh, we also had the Mariquitas… delicious.

I first visited with my college Spanish class after we finished our«food chapter» we all had to order in Spanish and the waiters love it! I have been back probably 10 times since then. My family is from the Miami area and are very familiar with Cuban food and they loved this place! I even asked my boyfriend to take me here for Valentine’s Day. We usually order the fried yuca, vaca frita, and roasted pork with black beans and rice and plantains. I like to put their garlic sauce on mine! The portions are huge! All this food paired perfectly with their classic mojitos!

The food was great… everything was fresh and hot. The flavors were tantalizing. I had the Chicken Fillet and wife had the Cuban Fried Rice… both entrée were great.

It’s not easy to find a good Cuban place for eating and there aren’t too many choice at that either. Stumbled upon this place when looking for somewhere new to eat with the coworkers. It’s not too bad. Feels authentic enough to not question it’s identity. The restaurant itself is decorated nicely with Cuban inspired designs. The place has ample amount of seating. You should be able to get seat without too much of a wait. The menu has a few options to choose from. You can get anything from a rice dish to a good old fashion Cuban sandwich. The staff is nice and they are helpful enough to most of your needs. Overall, it’s definitely a good lunch spot if you’re craving some Cuban cuisine. Give it a shot if you’re interested! My Recommendations: –Cuban Sandwich

Best Cuban restaurant I have found in this area! They have real Cuban food, unlike some other«Cuban restaurants» around here that don’t have real Cuban seasoning. This place is the best, very quiet and simply delicious.

We ordered pollo empanizado(breaded chicken) and after a few bites I noticed that something wasn’t right. My chicken was raw!!! The light was dim so it was hard to see but I asked my husband to check his and sure enough his chicken was raw too. We told our waitress which then in turn called the manager. He didn’t seem to apologetic he just asked if we wanted to switch for something else, which we did. He left our plates there so that we could finish our sides although by the time our new plate came out our sides were cold. He didn’t even offer to comp our meal and on top of that charged us for the meal we originally ordered but the plate we actually ended up eating was cheaper so we paid for something we didn’t even eat. And throughout our entire meal we still had the raw chicken sitting in front of us.

Absolutely wonderful dinner. The owner was very friendly and the waitress was attentive and friendly. It was our first time eating Cuban and we loved it. We especially loved the appetizer sampler platter. Roast pork was flavorful and tender also. Tres leche cake and flan were also great. Wonderful atmosphere!

I’ve been here twice now. Few months ago and yesterday. Food was great as always. Our waitress, Karol, was super nice and very helpful. Place wasn’t packed but there were quite busy. I think the only complaint is that, the 3 TVs they have were playing the same soccer game. If you are looking for authentic Spanish Cuban food in the area, this place will nail it.

We came to this location based on our friends recommendation. It was 6:30 p.m. The place was empty with only one table of three dining. However, it should be noted that the adjacent restaurant was just as empty too. We were a little skeptical due to the lack of customers, but took the chance anyway. We suspected that it attracts a good lunch crowd and weekend crowd too. So, let’s get down to the food… We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered appetizers of empanadas, and it was good(both beef and chicken). My husband ordered the Eli’s Charusco Steak Special, I had the sauteed sea bass with grilled onions. Our friends also had the Charuso steak and shrimp entrees. Each entrée was accompanied with black beans and rice and maduro(sweeten bananas). Each of the entrees were freshly prepared, hot, and they were all delicious too. As we’re familiar with Cuban and Puerto Rican food, we thought it was pretty good. For this, I give this place a 4 star for the food and price. Service was pleasant too. Prices were reasonable. A full bar was available too. A good«go to» for casual Cuban cuisine dining. Will come back again.

Good experience. I had a traditional Cuban sandwich – ham and pork w/pickle. It was hot and toasty. I had rice as a side and ordered black beans as extra. My wife had the tacos with rice and black beans. There were three and they were filled with pork. She commented that she didn’t think they would come so «full». The service was excellent. We enjoyed our meals and both took home«doggy bags». Atmosphere was quiet outside because we were alone – I presume more diners will come later. Pleasant Cuban music was playing. Give it four stars.

Good food, fast service, killer margaritas. Food is presented well. Clean environment. I think this place is overlooked in this shopping center. They need more tvs though that you can see imo for american football. Not sure why this place isnt more full…

Read some of the reviews so decided to give it a try what a disappointment. We got there and it was only about two or three tables being served and it took 40 minutes to get our food. To make things worse the food was terrible and the servers were non-existent. I won’t be back do yourself a favor and eat at the Kitchen of Atlanta two doors up

Went on a Thursday night. It wasn’t very busy, and we ordered the Fried Beef(vaca frita) $ 13.99 and the roast pork(shredded pork) $ 12.99. Both were good. They come with maduros, rice, and black beans on a side dish. If your hungry the pork quantity of meat was larger than the beef by almost double in size. The beans were watery but many like it that way, still good. The maduros could have been warmer, they were room temperature. The menu has asterisks on certain dishes but no explanation as to what the asterisk means. The gal hard a hard time explaining, we presume they mean the more popular dishes from her best explanation. Help was friendly. The beers on the menu are all unpriced. So when a place pulls this stunt as so many do I ask. That often leads nowhere. She goes to check and comes back with a somewhere around this to that answer. The basic answer is your gunna find out when your bill comes. Hate that. The place has a nice large dining room, and seating outside on a partly covered patio. There were 3TV’s on the entire time with shirtless barefoot wresting on with these guys grabbing and groping each other on the whole time. Hmm? Don’t know if this is every night or if this was a rare occasion. This is a good restaurant in a nice center with other nice restaurants around it, yet that is more something for a dive bar I would think. Or maybe I’m just out of the loop on what everyone’s into nowdays. There was one guy at the bar maybe he asked for it, but it just seemed really weird. Everyone in there couldn’t miss it as TV are positioned all around and it was on all of them, and it lasted the entire time. I wasn’t bothered by it but if your looking for a nice atmosphere for a special occasion, watching that on TV, or ANYTHING on TV isn’t it. You should not be watching TV in a nice restaurant is my opinion. I cant give it more than 3 stars because of their TV’s. Would you bring Mom here on Mothers day to watch that? A Grads night out with the family watching that ?? NOWAY… They need to decide if they are going to be a dive bar, sports bar, or a nice restaurant. Maybe a partitioned or divided room would serve them well so the bar guys can do their thing in there, while those wishing a nice dinner atmosphere can have that too.

I have seen this place many times but never thought to try it. We got together with my boyfriend’s parents who have been here many times. They claimed it was very good. We all sat at the bar and I noticed there was quite a few people sitting in the restaurant area. The bartender was warm and friendly. I ordered a pineapple mojito, which was nice and light, but not much alcohol. The second drink I ordered was a cosmopolitan. That was not very good at all, and tasted like nothing but sugar. We started with a couple appetizers. One was a plantain chip platter served with a garlic sauce. The garlic flavor was very mild. The chips were okay, just your routine fried plantains. The other appetizer was fried yuca. It was a tempera fry with some sautéed onions on top. I don’t care for heavily fried foods so I didn’t like this one very much. My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken chunks, which was sautéed chicken marinated in a garlic, olive oil, and peppers. What came out was a big bowl of chicken swimming in some kind of thick sauce. Honestly it reminded me of not good quality chicken swimming in some kind of high dosed corn starch. It was served with a bowl of rice and black beans and a side of plantains. The plantains were tasty. The rice and beans were okay, made better with some Texas Pete sauce for flavor. So maybe the food is good, and I just am not a Cuban food fan. I was shocked at the way the chicken was served, and it reminded me of eating at a Chinese restaurant with that type of sauce. So if you like Cuban, maybe do not be deterred from my review here. But I won’t be back.

The food is wonderful. Even my three boys enjoyed the food they got(a steak, chicken fingers & a cheeseburger). My husband loved his steak so much he didn’t need sauce, I’m currently waiting on my cappuccino(sure hope it’s as good as it looks). If we ever come back to this area, we will def be back here!

On occasion when I’m in the John’s Creek area, I will find myself dining at Palomilla’s because of its location, you have to love JC traffic, and how cheap my meal is. Like many restaurants, Palomilla’s doesn’t have a separated gluten free menu, but at least I know I can get a steak, rice and beans, as plantains and not have a reaction from cross contamination. The food is pretty average and service can be hit and miss, but it is generally good. When the weather is nice, it nice to enjoy a late lunch or dinner outside on the patio.
