Piece of Cake, Inc

I’m pretty picky about my cake, but I’m even pickier about consistency. My first time trying Piece of Cake I bought a 9″ pumpkin spice to take to a friend’s house for dinner. I was amazed by how delicious it was. It was moist and fresh and just perfect.
So I went back and got a slice of yellow cake with chocolate frosting (and hid it from my husband so he wouldn’t try to steal any). It was just ok.
Next time I went back I got a pumpkin spice slice for myself and a strawberry slice for my husband. The strawberry wasn’t very good, but the pumpkin spice was as moist and delicious as I remembered. So happy.
Since I used to be a cupcake baker everyone expects me to bring dessert to all holiday functions, but this year I decided to order that delicious pumpkin spice cake to take for Thanksgiving dinner at the in-​laws. Only this time it was half moist and half super dry. It didn’t taste fresh at all and I was embarrassed. A huge disappointment.
I’m not sure why the consistency is so off with them. Is it just the Johns Creek location because they never seem busy and can’t keep the cakes fresh? I don’t get it. I was so happy to find a cake I thought was almost as good as mine (without the work!), but now I’m on the fence.

Cupcakes are ok, but those cakes be AMAZING!!! Red velvet is my favorite slice. Customer service is always on point

Heard a lot about this place, but I was disappointed. I ordered a chocolate cupcake that tasted more like a cookie. Definitely not a place for die hard chocolate fans… but the ambiance was nice.

My family and I absolutely love Piece of Cake. We are members and even receive discounts. Our family favorite is the yellow chocolate cake. It is great if you want a slice (or 2). The slices are nice and big so you can save them for later. However, for our New Years Party, we bought a big cake. Everyone loved it and it was nice and big. Also, I suggest the pound cake– it is absolutely delicious.

Ughhhhhhh my GOD I regret every having come here. Cake by the slice and cupcakes so damn delicious! There goes my diet.
Will definitely be coming here at least once a month. Their icing is to die for and their cake is so moist. YUMMY. Lots of different flavors on the cake by the slice which I love. Absolutely scrumptious.

My mother in law recently brought us a yellow cake with chocolate frosting, and it was just heavenly. The frosting tasted like fudge without being too heavy, and the cake was both dense and airy. I know people hate the word moist, so I’ll just say the cake was also well hydrated. We ate off of the cake for days due to its substantial size. If we weren’t such gluttons, it would have lasted even longer. I can’t wait for another reason to have a super huge cake in our house!

Piece of Cake makes the most wonderful cakes! I used to drive to Roswell Road to get them and then to the Dunwoody location. I have ordered cakes for family Christmas, friends and family, and to give as a «thank you.» The white chocolate cake is amazing! I also like the chocolate cake with cream cheese icing. It’s a milk chocolate type cake and not devil’s food-​ish. You won’t be disappointed if you get a piece of cake or an entire cake. I’m so glad Piece of Cake is in the Johns Creek area.

Went to this place accidentally looking for a yogurt shop that use to be in the same shopping center.
Once we walked in the staff member on duty was super friendly and informative. She didn’t hesitate to tell us about all the specials and promotions that were currently available. After we got through all of this and tasted the cake… OUUUFFF!!! It was simply amazing. It had the right consistency and wasn’t too sweet.
GOOD JOB! Please don’t lose that magic touch.

Ordered the Cookies and Cream — Oreo cake for my daughter’s sweet 16 birthday party. Easy to order over the phone one day before the party. Stopped in and picked it up, and it was effortless. I got my own cake topper and it was a huge hit. Don’t refrigerate, it kept for three days at room temp and tasted just as good day after day as the first. Absolutely WONDERFUL!
