Definitely a great place to grab an exceptional dinner. The staff is outstanding, friendly and attentive, and Chef whips up the best Steak, Seafood and Pasta around. Even the salad dressings and soups are made fresh by him. If you haven’t been here, I would definitely recommend giving it a try. And if it seems pricey, it’s worth it. Each meal comes with bread and butter/olive oil and cheese, soup AND salad, a side(choice of potato, rice or a side of pasta) and fresh vegetables.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Went in there on a Saturday night 730PM, sat at the bar… asked for menus, ordered drinks and waited. Until a server came behind the bar and the bartender told her we needed to order, the server said we are not taking any more orders. WHAT? They were not busy maybe 4 tables, totally ridiculous. So glad we wasted oue time! Your first shot was your last, never again this place sucks! Really? A hick? Wow! If you weren’t going to serve us how about telling us that you were booked when we came in, instead of giving us drinks, and menus? Why would you have us make our selections, if you were not going to serve us? We didn’t ask for a table, we were happy with dining at the bar. Not only do you need a staff that can better communicate with your guest while you are cooking, but you my friend need a anger management course.

Unfortunatley, Chef Davito’s terrible service strikes again. We got there at 7:30 Saturday night, and a waitress told us to have a seat at the bar, and our table would be ready in a few minutes. There was empty tables, but I don’t think they have enough staff to man them, so when you go in and see them you may not think they are busy. After waiting 10 – 15 minutes another group waiting at the bar was seated, so we thought not too much longer, no big deal. Then a few minutes later a couple of guys came in and sat at a table in the bar area. They were asked if they were dining tonight and they said yes. The hostess who is also the chef’s wife says«Well if you order right now I will see if I can get it in.» Whoaa, timeout. We asked another server if the hostess knew we were waiting for a table, and she said she would check with her. The hostess comes out and says«sorry I thought you were here just to have some drinks. Our kitchen is closed and we can’t serve you.» Not only did this disappoint us, but also the two guys who got to put their order in when they arrived after us, so they left. As we were going out the door, the hostess says«since those guys are leaving we can now take your order.» PASS! BTW, as we walked out it was only 8:15, they close at 9:00. This was the third time we have gone to this place and each time has been worse service, 3 strikes and your out. It is a shame. We told our story to many people in our small community, and everyone said the same thing. «the food is great, but the service sucks.» I think this place could be great if the people running it had a clue, or hired someone who knew how to run a restaurant. everyone who lives in Johnsburg would like a quality place to dine, but this place has a long way to go. Maybe not even having business hours, and going reservation only might be a start, but then they wouldn’t be able to take advantage of you with their tiny overpriced drinks.
