Although a simple breakfast spot that doesn’t look that great on the outside, Old Dixie Café deserves 5 stars for serving a perfect breakfast. As soon as we walked in and were greeted by two friendly, upbeat servers, everything was wonderful. Asked if we wanted coffee before we even sat down(could have been stronger coffee, but it’s not that type of a place, I guess!), I ordered eggs, a homemade biscuit(yum!) and grits and my husband had a feta/spinach omelette. When he asked for hot sauce, the waitress steered him toward the two homemade sauces they concoct in house and he said they were amazing, especially the green one. Everyone in the place was treated well and the menu had lots of breakfast choices to satisfy everyone.

Great food! Breakfast is their best! I do however wish they accepted credit cards and not just cash, but it’s worth it. Don’t be afraid to stop in!

Very awesome place for breakfast. On our way home to nj. Stopped by for breakfast, one of the best little places. Food was awesome, waitress and waiter very attentive.

Old Dixie Café is an old fashioned breakfast joint with a counter bar and a locals atmosphere. Generous portions and good food. Prices have definitely gone up a bit in the past year or so, otherwise we would still give it a 5 star rating. For sure worth checking out as an alternative to the I-Hops of the world.

My hubby and I are always looking for little out of the way places to eat; the food and atmosphere are always good. This was no different. Clean, small and all home made. The Lucy Juicy burger was delish. They only take cash, but an ATM is on the premises.

Was surprised, good hot food. Reminds me of eating at Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Iowa. Skins on mashed potatoes, fresh cut carrots, not a lot of seasoning.

Solid breakfast place and never too busy to get a table in my experience. Coffee is good and food always comes out quickly. Only downside is they are cash only.

Best way to describe this place is cheap. The ingredients are poor, it’s all about the lower prices here. Low quality food. Popular with some old locals that like to sit around and talk. I had chicken, it was bland and tasted like it was reheated from the Winn-Dixie down the road. Don’t think they cook with fresh ingredients.

This is the place you remember from your Midwest childhood; traditional breakfast menu cooked a few feet away and served by a smiling waitress. Counter seating(or booths/tables) quick service and dependable breakfast favorites-just what I needed a thousand miles from Iowa.

First visit for breakfast. Typical breakfast nothing special. French toast was decent, eggs overlooked.

My omelet was dry and overcooked. The potatoes were institutional fare. I believe the oil used is not the best or their grill needs work. The waitresses are super nice and speedy., can’t blame her for lousy food. I still tipped 15%.

Excellent breakfast here with real truckstop type food. A clean joint confirmed the morning we arrived as we were hit with a strong odor of bleach. I’m all for cleaning but really would hold off to the afternoon considering the place closes at 2PM. A longtime resident of Jupiter that recommended this place advised he thought there was a somewhat recent ownership change here. We enjoyed breakfast; I went with a southern breakfast of eggs and country fried steak with gravy. Of course more«normal» breakfast fare is available and all looked good. Hash browns are a disappointment here as seems to be the case everywhere in this town. If you can find this place(a bit of a challenge if you don’t know where to look) obviously the floor is clean(clorox stench) but the place is a real«greasy spoon» in the best sense of the word. Lots of very good medium priced places in Jupiter and we’ll return although not too often.

Pros: fast service, friendly staff, local vibe. Went here for breakfast. Got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. I took the bacon off of the sandwich because it was so undercooked. It was terrible. My husband’s bacon was too. The«hash browns» are also questionable, even when asked for crispy, they came out soft & slightly undercooked. Pancake was good & so were the biscuits and gravy. For $ 28.00 I thought the meal could have been wayyyy better.

Based on Unilocal reviews. we tried the food which was good. More so, we liked the atmosphere. Relaxed, cool and great waffles.

We walked in and said, «This place reminds us of 1960’s style luncheonettes.» Old Dixie Café is clean; although an older interior it is in a well maintained condition. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food? Phenomenal! As we walked by the tables to be seated I spyed waffles… Belgian Waffles… I could not resist. Delicious. My partner had his usual staple of scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, toast, along with biscuits and gravy, he said they were all perfect. This will be a return spot for us in the future. If you want to eat a fantastic home cooked breakfast and step back in time, you will enjoy eating here!

Super cute little breakfast joint! Friendly staff and great breakfast menu. I really enjoy hole in the wall places, gives it more of that home like feel. As far as I can remember, most items are al a carte? So it can be pricey if you’re real hungry. Other than that, I definitely recommend this spot.

Jupiter landmark. Awesome breakfast and a weekly regular. Just simple, high quality, and affordable breakfast. Nothing more you can ask for in the morning. Specials are fun too! And the staff is GREaT!

I went to the Dixie on a recommendation from a native of the area. I liked the look and smell when I walked in… a classic diner/greasy spoon. Nothing negative about that to me. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. The breakfast(I’ve been twice for breakfast only) was served quickly and the meal was as expected. I gave it 2 stars because a solid breakfast place should have solid fried potatoes. These had the proper texture and look but both times(it’s precisely why I went back to see if it was me) the hash browns had a weird aftertaste. I don’t know if it’s the oil/grease they use to cook the things or maybe it was the ketchup. I’m leaning towards that… but the taste in my mouth was off. I liked the place’s feel and the staff but I need my hash browns with breakfast and this could be a deal-breaker.

A Jupiter institution. A great diner with big yummy Southern breakfasts that is well-hidden from the tourist trade but all the locals eat there. No frills, no fuss, but hearty food and plenty of it. It’s open for breakfast and lunch and closes at 3 pm. You can’t go wrong here!
