Just OK. They carry a lot, from shaved ice to popsicles to hot dogs. Shaved ice was just eh, nothing bad about it but nothing good either. It does hit the spot on a hot day though. It was slightly overpriced but it’s the only food vendor there. Service was brisk but not very friendly, the lady seemed like she didn’t want to be there.

Shave ice was okay. It did hit the spot on a hot day. My biggest complaint was the grumpy owners. No one in line but us, not a hello or aloha, rushed us through our orders. HELLO, you live in paradise. Embrace the Aloha spirit, crack a smile, make a joke. Skip this place.

$ 4 for small which is plenty big for two. Passion orange was fave of the three I tried.

This place does not even deserve 3 stars. I came here expecting something special, but it turned out to be very mediocre. The shave ice was nothing but ice covered with ordinary syrups found at a local market. Since it was expensive, I forced myself to finish the ice. And when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, I found a dead insect at the bottom of the ice. Not recommended.

We came to the wagon expecting an awesome shave ice(since Hawaii is famous for it). It turned out to be a way overpriced shave ice of $ 4.00. To be honest, I’d rather have a cup of cheap Icy than this. Furthermore, the service was horrible. The guy selling was white and he treated the group of white people in front of us normally. But when it was our turn, we asked how much was the shave ice and the guy said«Read the menu, it’s $ 4.00» Also, he didnt accept our pennies and said you can«leave them as tips.» Nothing good with this snack wagon.

Best shave ice this side of the island. Scandiwhat? Nope. This is a gem. Skip the ice cream though, it was old.

It’s not gourmet, but it good and only a few steps away for hot snacks. The shave ice the greatest.

Though I never managed to find a shave ice place as good as the ones I know and love over on Oahu, Kahalu’u worked well enough. I think I was also won over by the fact that there was decent shave ice available right on the beach. Also, the truck advertised only two sizes for shave ice: small and X-tra large, which, really, who needs the small? The only downside are the slightly higher prices and the fact that the shave ice was piled so freakin’ high that my wife spilled hers all over her bag, which had all of our dry clothes in it.

Awesome shave ice! Lots of yummy flavors. Clean truck, awesome view and perfect because it is the only place super close to get a refreshing drink or snack after snorkeling. Loved it! :-)

This food stand had everything… well not really, but everything sounded good! Corndogs, hamburgers, hot dogs, soft serve, and a bunch of flavors to list for your HUGE shaved ice! I’ve never shaved ice like this before it was sooooo good and the vanilla scoop at the bottom of the cup… Never thought that’d be a good bend, but daaamn gina that was pretty much the cherry on top. And the«small» was actually a huge ass cup! Best bang for your buck for sure. :(Kahalu’u shaved ice stand, I miss you!

Kahalu’u Beach has a cove where ppl snorkel. You get to see sea turtles and a ton of nemo type fishes. The cool part literally is Kahalu’u Beach Snack Wagon — which is parked in the lot and reminds me of our Food Trucks here on the Mainland. the best thing about Kahalu’u Beach Snack Wagon is the Shaved Ice — for a few dollars — the Shaved Ice is huge — even for the small version. ITWASYUMMY — to cool off on a hot day!
