I already know the business is very disgusting. It was previously located in Battle Creek, but that location closed down because of many health code violations. I cannot believe the owner lets children run in and out of the area without considering the quality and hygiene of food to sell to other people. I certainly wouldn’t pay for food that has been tainted by germs of bratty little children or disgruntled employees. Also, the waitstaff mostly just waste time talking amongst themselves, thus delaying the delivery of ice water and other beverages for thirsty customers. What kind of professional behavior is that? The hydrogenated oil-based margarine used in hot sandwiches is often rancid, the breads are often stale, and the hot dogs are disgusting! Who on earth would pay for such rubbish? Not me! D’Nicio’s needs to be closed down for eternity!

Ok new York dog. Worst Coney dogs in town. Horrible mystery chili. At least they sauteed the sour Kraut

I recently started working around the area and was seeking out some new places to dine for lunch. I saw the sign from the street that they had gyros(I love gyros!) so I thought I’d give it a try. There’s not much to this place as far as the décor goes, but it seemed like a good choice and I went with my instinct. It was a little after noon so the place began to fill up with people placing to go orders and those dining in. I sat down and ordered one of their combos which was gyro meat over rice and a small greek salad. Unfortunately, they were out of rice which I thought was weird but my server suggested I order the Greek salad with gyro meat. I went with her suggestion and ordered the«small» portion. After about not even barely 5 minutes she brought out the salad which had lettuce, feta, beets, peppers and I don’t remember what else along with a side of pita bread and a squeeze bottle of dressing on the side. Let me just say… this was one of the best salads I have ever had in my life! The gyro meat is by far the most tender. The seasoning is perfect and the dressing! I don’t even know what kind it is but I absolutely love it! I contemplated ordering just a side of the meat for later but the restaurant continued to fill up so I told myself I’d come back another day. They were definitely under staffed and I had to get back to work, so I went up to the counter to retrieve my check which I could’ve cared less because I was so in love with my salad. Being a former server/bartender for awhile you understand how it all works. The gentleman who ran my card was very apologetic and very nice. There were several people waiting for their to go orders but they didn’t seem to mind much about the wait and now I understand why. I left feeling incredibly satisfied which lately, has not been very often at the places I’ve tried out. Especially like the Thai place next door, don’t go there… worst service ever!!! Food is mediocre. If you are looking for a good gyro, take my advice and go here. I was so excited I texted my friend and let her know about this place. I’m excited to try their other more simple menu items like their coney dogs. Hope this review helps you decide and I am also hoping this helps their business. Happy dining! :)
