Good hotel for the price. Paid $ 112 for two nights and couldn’t be happier. Looks recently remolded, semi modern, and CLEAN! When I’m paying $ 50 a night I’m not expecting a $ 200 courtyard experience. I expect a clean room with pillows, towels and a tv, redroof defiantly delivered.

There are few times in life that one seizes the opportunity to experience a stay in a luxurious 2 star motel. Being the recent college graduate with student loan debt that I am, the $ 50 price tag lured me right in.
Now before I arrived I had a little pep talk with myself and made sure to set the bar really low. The expectations I set were as follows:
1. Feel safe
2. Clean sheets
3. Get a good night’s sleep
4. No bed bugs
That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.
Upon arrival (approximately 3 am) we entered into the motel «lobby». Now I have lobby in quotation marks, because the so-​called «lobby» was actually just an entry way with the attendant sitting pleasantly behind two inches of bullet proof glass… well there goes expectation number 1.
We arrived in room 29, a thorough inspection of the room was made and then it was time to inspect the bed. The stains on the bed spread were a put off, but since I don’t use the bed spread it wasn’t a huge deal to me. As I peeled off the bed spread a glimmering yellow stain on the white sheets peered back at me. Ew. I was not sleeping in that bed. I kept my fingers crossed as I checked the sheets on the second bed. Phew… No stains… But wait what are those things scattered across the bed??? As I took a closer look they were short black hairs and there were a lot of them… EWWW! But as it was 4 am by this time and I had been driving for 11 hours I needed to pick the better of two evils. I decided to go with the stained bed and just put a towel over the stain… there goes expectation number 2.
The 3 hours I got to sleep for the first night were actually pretty nice. It was dark quiet and somewhat peaceful when I wasn’t thinking about the bullet proof glass and dirty sheets. But before I write this expectation number 3 off as a success I needed one more night to confirm. We returned to the motel at about 9:00 the next night to find 4 scruffy men gathered around the door right next to ours each sipping on a beer pulled out of one of the two 24 packs of Busch light sitting next to them. As the night continued on these men enjoyed a few more of those beers and decided they couldn’t hear each other in the dead silence of the night so they had to yell their conversation to each other… right outside of our door. These conversations lasted until about 4:30 in the morning and since I had to be up at 7:00, left me with about 2 and half hours of sleep. So expectation number 3 went out the window.
It was a pretty horrible stay but I was unable to find bed bugs… YES! So even though all expectations were complete and utter disasters, expectation #4 was a success.

The hotel has really renovated from the last time I was in the area a few years ago. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were clean.
However, the clientele in some of the rooms were downright scary. I think the person two rooms down from me might have been selling drugs. I had strange scruffy people knocking on my door during the evening and night. When I looked out the window they quickly moved on, going instead to the room two doors down. As a woman traveling alone it was hard to relax enough to sleep, thinking of what was going on and would someone be trying to get in my room.
While the hotel has approved its appearance, they need to do more for the safety of their guests.

this place has mostly very nice workers, but you get what you pay for. this place is slightly better than the pit of hell that is motel 6 across the street, but still VERY BAD. i swear to god, the carpet turned the bottoms of our feet black. how gross does a place have to be to do that? the beds were sheet covered springs and extremely uncomfortable. stay away if you can manage to get online and get a unpublished rate on one of those priceline, expedia, hotwire, travelocity websites. you will be much happier at a clean place with a comfortable bed.
