This was recommended by the bed and breakfast we were staying at. I had the Cubano juice and Swedish pancakes with lingon berries. The crêpe-like pancakes were sweet enough that syrup wasn’t necessary. My friend has the kitchen sink which was also very good. I wonder if they buy their ham local. It tasted better than store bought. The bacon was thick cut with little to no fat– very good quality. We cleared our plates, not saying a word to each other until the end. I wish we had a succotash at St. Louis. I would love to eat here again.

Great food, great people! And the coffee is quite good, too. Usually I get their breakfast food, which is delicious, but once I got a burger and it was also quite tasty! They have quite a wide variety of foods, that will appeal to everyone, even some veggie-smoothie things that aren’t up my alley. We try to get seats in the area where we can’t see the massive portrait of the owner dribbling food down her chin. That’s really the 1 change I would make. The rest of the place is amazing! The waitstaff are all great to talk to and do a great job. We’re especially pleased when we get Katie :)

This place is decent. First time I went for brunch on my birthday, I forgot what I ordered but it was good. They give you a slice of a very pretty rainbow cake so that was fun. I just know that their menu looked really good so I wanted to make sure that I came back to try something different. So I did return, and my experience was not as pleasant as the first. Soon as we sat down the table was pretty gross. There was hair on the table most likely from whomever was sitting there prior to us, but the hostess apologized and wiped the table down right away. But due to me being very particular with random hairs being somewhere, ESP where I’m about to eat, sort of just ruins things for me, so I probably just should have left. Also my silverware had dry food encrusted on it too. Smh But anyway, I ordered the smoked salmon benedict and substituted the homefries with pancakes. Nothing spectacular. I would not order it again and I will most likely not go back. The place just seems dirty to me now lol. So if you want to try something different, I would suggest you go. But there are better brunch spots in KC.

Old school bfast place. Just outside of KC. Try the Montecristo with the green goop. Top notch french toast and fresh juice. Very friendly staff

I wish it were bigger… MUCH bigger but I understand they have what they have. It’s so good I’m hoping a second location is coming.

Wife and I went there with another couple had went to a place for brunch, but that place was closed. So, we thought we would try Succotash and we are glad that we did. All the tables were full, so the host told us that we could sit at the bar. The waitress working the bar was great. After finding out it was our first time there, she helped us with the menu and made recommendations. She was spot on with the Cubano Juice, so refreshing. There was a mix of patrons from older couples, to families to younger people. The atmosphere and the music playing made it fun to hang out there. The food was also great. I had the special that day which was the Southwestern sink which was perfect. Had the right amount of heat/spice that made it enjoyable and the home fries. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My friend took me here while I was visiting & I was very pleased. This place has a very artsy vibe which I loved. I saw cotton candy latte on the menu and had to try it. I had a salmon omelet which was good. The cake selection here looks cool.

Amazing food, but poor service right from the beginning. It was as if every person working there had only one job, and couldn’t do anything else but that specific task. I honestly felt like we were burdening the staff, because we’d ask for more drinks/to go box/check and every time it took forever to get any of those items. When we’d ask another waiter for something because our waiter was m.i.a., they said they’d let our waiter know. So strange and so sad because the food and drinks are really good. If you want to go for a long mid-morning brunch with minimal staff interaction then it’s fine! If you’re in a hurry, look elsewhere. Thanks for reaching out Beth. It was a man with shoulder length hair and facial hair. Very polite person, but when we had to flag him down for things it was proven difficult and frustrating. Loved the food and atmosphere otherwise. That is totally unnecessary Beth! Thank you so much for reaching out, but I cannot accept a gift card from you. We will definitely give it another try soon :)

Great place for brunch! Very friendly service, coffee and fresh juices were so good. My wife ordered the BLT and I ordered the Slow Roasted Pork Hash… amazingly good! Highly recommend either!

cute atmosphere. Reminds me of home(I am from Austin, TX) The staff is very friendly. I got egg Benedict and it was really good. Coffee was a little bit too strong for me, but for people who love strong coffee, this place is the place to go. Great place for brunches, limited seating. It gets so busy here!

Not really sure why this place has such a bad rating. I went to KC this weekend and fell in love at first swig of the Cubano juice. And then swooned over my Veggie Kitchen Sink. I will definitely be going back. I love places like this. The décor is wack, the servers are all super chilled out and the food is spot on. They also serve Oddly Correct coffee which is a local business that does small batch roasting and they have amazing coffee. If you read a negative comment on here, then the person behind it is probably upset they had to either wait, didn’t like a juice pact with sugar and artificial ingredients, hate good food, or love to complain. Go here, wait if you must and enjoy a great experience.

I probably go here a little bit more often then I should. Me and my bf are regulars and show up about once a week. I have tried a lot of the items on the menu, but I keep coming back for the Swedish Pancakes and the Vegan sink. They have great juices and awesome coffee. It’s very busy on weekends so prepare for a 30 min wait during brunch. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the weird art. This place is just overall amazing!

This place is legit! If only I lived in Kansas this would be my regular place to go. We ordered the Kitchen Sink and French toast and they are incredible. The green Jeans drink is very good. All the coffee is pretty good as well! Yeah we’d definitely come back to this place when we visit Kansas.

So happy to have found this in KC. After days of BBQ and starches and heavy meals, this brunch was exactly what I wanted. I got the Bodybuilder: wheat toast, egg whites, spinach, and your choice of a fresh pressed juice. The Mr Green Jeans juice was kale and apple and so good. Good coffee, prompt service, and great décor. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

Quality breakfast spot near the UMKC campus. Upon entering, I instantly could picture this place blending in with the Portland(Oregon) food scene. It has an artsy, hipster vibe, and the portions are good sized. My server sold me on the Slow Roasted Pork Hash, which was also featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The juicy pork is also finished on the flattop for some extra brownness. Succotash probably had the best potatoes of my trip, attaining a lovely crispiness on the outside and plentiful in amount. Two perfect sunny side up eggs mixed perfectly with the black beans, chile verde, and pico de gallo. I’m sure people have attempted to make a giant taco out of all this. In the end, it was one of those hearty Tex Mex dishes that made me want to order another to go. Again, the panda approves the bottomless coffee here. I look forward to a future return trip!

Their rainbow cake was amazing. The atmosphere and food is one reason I keep going back. The service and people always have great recommendations. Friendly and kept me laughing even. Also get the burrito of love, you will NOT regret it. One of my favorite breakfast places.

Beth, 1) I’ve seen you use the«dockers» defense in other replies to people that have felt the same way I do about your staff and quite frankly it is pretty offensive that you would assume the way your staff dresses carries any weight to my comments as I don’t care what a person wears. 2) I never said they were assholes but since you did use that term I will say this, their clothes didn’t make them«assholes», their being assholes made them assholes. When I go to a restaurant I expect to feel welcomed and receive a certain level of service which unfortunately I didn’t get. Do I expect to be served like I’m the president? No. But I do expect good service. 3) Ultimately I could look past the service if the food was good but it wasn’t. For the time it took to get it I’d at least expect it to be hot. I guess that was my problem is I expected too much from your restaurant. 4) As the owner, you offered no remedy to any of my issues. One would expect an owner to, at the very least, give lip service to a customer that they will talk to the staff and also offer the customer an invitation to come back so things could be made right. But I guess that’s me expecting too much again.

Ooookkkk… Hmmmm… Where do I even start… An unusual experience for me… Good: — it’s Hipster. If you like Hipster — the food presentation is not their strength, but the taste was very good — the space has its own vibe and look — lots to chose from if you’re Vegan, Vegetarian and or Gluten Free eater Bad: — Cool yet looked dirty… I sat next to the bar and got to see what’s behind it. Not a very appetizing view… The plastic cans and containers were dirty all around and you I’ll pour me a drink out of that??? Yuk! — this is gonna be funny, but the huge picture of a woman eating soup spilling out of her mouth really taken away from me enjoying the taste of my food LOL its gross!!!

Definite hipster and artsy vibe. The morning we went, it was humid as all hell and they opted to not turn the AC on… wow. Talk about unpleasant meal. We decided to sit at the bar vs waiting about 20 – 30 min for a table. The food was good but the service was meh. I understand that the drinks are freshly made but sitting at the bar, it’s easy to overhear conversations and one I heard a lot was, «we’re out of cups». The bathrooms are bad… steer clear. I’ll go back just to give it another try.

Fabulous! Great food and fantastic fresh juices! We had the fresh squeezed orange juice and the Mr Green Jeans. Both were fantastic but a texture person might be a bit put off by all the pulp. I ordered The Kitchen Sink and my hubby one of the egg combos with a side pancake. The pancake was ENORMOUS as well as delicious and he said the the rest of his food was great too. Can be a long wait for a table so get there early!
